They don't have a sign outside, but Christine was sitting on the porch waiting for guests and waved at us as we were driving by, so we knew we were in the right place. She has a special knack for identifying who is looking for the show based solely on how slow they are driving! We arrived early and it was a lovely day, so Christine invited us to sit on their porch. We chatted a bit and she shared some recommendations about other things to do in the area. Sean came outside and did a card trick for us while we waited. Once the other guests arrived, we were led into their library for the show. It was truly intimate. The audience included only six people. We were seated in comfy leather upholstered chairs and surrounded by floor to ceiling shelves filled with books and knick knacks. Sean is a former trial lawyer and pivoted his career at the age of 47 to become a magician. He told us parts of his life story throughout the show, making it feel very personal and poignant. He did a variety of tricks, with rope, cards, distraction, and sleight of hand. There was a lot of audience participation, with almost every trick involving one or more members of the group. We also stood a few times so that we could all participate together. Sean is a master of his craft and many of the tricks were truly awe inspiring. The show was fun, engaging, and heart warming. He performs at several venues throughout the area, but I recommend the home show because it's designed for adults. Even if you don't typically like magic shows, this one is not to be missed and you'll leave feeling inspired and intrigued by the art form.

Plus, this is a hard to impress group. 1. Communication: Jared had great communication from my initial reach out to the day of. He wanted to understand the team, the venue, the seating arrangements, etc. so that he could entertain the best way possible. I really appreciated this as it seems rare these days to find someone that communicates so well. 2. Performance: WOW! WOW! WOW! We had Jared perform tableside hand magic and mindreading and everyone, I mean EVERYONE (even the skeptics) were blown away! I haven't seen anything quite like the talent Jared has. Our team is still talking about it. I don't want to give too much away, because you really have to see him in action to believe it, but this man is incredibly talented and Rhode Island is lucky to have an entertainer like Jared. Our crowd was approx 20 people ranging in age from low 20's to 70's. He was our 'after dinner' entertainment at our family gathering taking place at a back room at a tavern. Jared made the space work for us. He was engaging - and included everyone in the room at least once- in his performance. We are still talking about how we THINK he managed some of the tricks. He was very personable- respectful and highly entertaining. Some of us went in with one mind set on how it was gonna be and came out happily with another. Would highly recommend.

Customers beware ! I threw my parents a surprise 30th anniversary last weekend and had rented a…read moreportable bar from the Wolcott Party Plus for $79.99. I was dealing with a guy named Mike(possibly the manager/owner?) and we agreed that I could try to get the rental returned by either Monday or Tuesday this week, as this rental required a truck to haul it. It was clearly understood that I needed help from my friend that has a truck. Come Saturday, Mike gave me a call and the tone he conveyed was very bossy and I swear he was yelling his words like "I just wanna make sure you understand it needs to be picked up soon!" I gave him the benefit of the doubt thinking he's just a little nervous on the timing. We picked it up before 1 with no issue. During the party, the bartender I hired had used the ice storage compartment in this cheap plastic bar, and pointed out that there was a leaky water drain spickett that was faulty and kept leaking water all onto the floor. My bartender had slipped several times and even fell one time. Come Monday, I get a call from Mike yelling at me again saying I was supposed to drop it off on that day, even though he agreed by Tuesday the latest. Come Tuesday, he calls again asking when the bar is being returned. I told him my friend was able to drop it off no later than 2:30pm. I was appalled when he responded "WE CLOSE AT 2!!!" I explained to him that the timing was out of my control and that he understood I do not own a vehicle large enough to get it back before 2pm myself. I told Mike that my friend could drop it off in back, but his pissed off anxiety stricken tone didn't want to hear me out. He said "if you drop it off in back and it gets stolen overnight THATS ON YOU" and "I'm gonna need to inspect it when it does get returned to make sure there's no damage." That's when I told him that there was damage on the leaky spickett before I ever rented this POS and the problems it created at the party, particularly the hired bartender. His voice became timid after that and didn't wanna talk about it as he ended the phone call less than a minute after. To top it all off, my friend called me at 2:15pm saying that it was dropped off but nobody was there and took a picture of where he dropped off the bar in back. I never received a call or text from Mike on Wednesday, and honestly I've never had such a terribly unprofessional experience from a business like this in my entire life. Many of my friends and family couldn't believe how awful this place is and everyone I've shared my experience with agrees that this place should not be in business. I hope Mike turns to God or even Anger Management.

Party Plus has been my go-to for any of the parties that I've had in Wolcott. They are always good…read morein a pinch too and their rental prices are pretty good. They have large storage facility in the back of their store for all their tables, chairs, etc. The prices of their party supplies inside the store are okay but not the best I have found when visiting in the past. This time around I ordered some tables and chairs. When I went to pick up my chairs/tables they had me drive around back to pick up my rentals. They help you load it up and have you do a final signature. Very friendly staff and they double check to make sure you have everything you ordered. The products were in all fairly good condition. The following day when I returned my rentals the two guys I spoke with were very polite and let me know that I had to finalize the return inside afterwards. Within ten minutes I was all set and on my way home.
