When you arrive parking appears to be pretty difficult. We ended up staying downtown and just walking over to the baseball stadium. When we walked in we watched the national anthem from the lower level and sat in different sections/walked around throughout the game. We started on the upper level which is really pretty with the roof open and seeing all of the surrounding buildings with the CN tower overhead. We then migrated around the outfield which had more of a party vibe with a section with a dj, a bar, and just a fun crowd. On the lower level you could definitely see the game much better. The CN tower would also change colors throughout the game which was fun to watch. This is definitely a one of a kind baseball game experience and we had a blast. Definitely a must stop if you are Toronto while a Blue Jays game is going on.

Better known as SkyDome, this retractable roof stadium plays host to many sporting, music and public events. It is still primarily home to Toronto Blue Jays baseball. While built over 30 years ago, it's still impressive to see the retractable roof in action providing for outdoor games during pleasant weather. The cavernous stadium has had a few refreshes over the years. It is a short walk from Union Station. Ticket prices have steadily increased in recent years with the team's success, stadium investment and fair weather fans. In recent years, they have renovated the outfield district including bars on every level, and a flight deck open to everyone (outside of reserved functions). The outfield configuration now features uneven walls for a unique home feel. The seats behind the dugout has the best premium experience including bars beneath the playing surface in the TD Lounge. The festivities at Jr Jays Sundays are always well put-together including batting & pitching, arcades, face painting, balloons, mini-golf, sports cards, caricature and even running the bases post game. There's even inflatables outside before the game to start the festivities. Skip it or hit it? It's a place we'd still go catch a game but fewer occasions now as ticket prices aren't always commensurate with the on field product.

The arena itself is right in the heart of downtown, so the whole area around it already feels super alive before you even walk in. There's people everywhere, jerseys, food spots nearby, and just that pre-game energy that makes it so fun. Inside, it was packed but in a good way, like full energy, loud, exciting, everyone already hyped before tip-off. I had seats in the 300 level and honestly I don't even think that's a bad thing at all. The view from up there is actually really solid, you can see the whole court properly and the energy from the crowd feels even more spread out and intense. Service-wise, everything was pretty organized. It was busy, so lines and movement around the concourse can get a bit crowded at times, but nothing unexpected for a Raptors game night. Once you're settled in your seat though, it's smooth and you can just focus on the game. Overall, I'd 100% recommend going at least once if you're in Toronto. It's not just about basketball, it's the full experience: the crowd, the energy, the location, and just being part of that atmosphere. Even from the 300s, it still feels like a really good seat. Definitely one of those experiences that's way more fun in person than on TV.

It's hardly worth the…read more3 star's I'm giving it and the 2 biggest reason for those 3 stars is the fact that the turf here is amazing for sports and that during the winter, the dome is well utilized for all sorts of sports from golf, cricket, soccer etc. When the new turf and dome were introduced (around 2007) it was rated the best field of that nature in Toronto. Maybe in Canada as well but I'm not confident enough to aver that. As for the the spectator experience, sure the seats (bleachers) are only a few years old and well maintained but it's nothing close to the full fledged stadiums you see to the south or even in most other Canadian cities and that itself almost tells you that the University has no real expectations for the student population to come out in in full force supporting the Blues. The ice rink while better in comparison to the football stadium is still not impressive and looks like it could do with some renovations as well including the teams changing/locker rooms. An upside to the stadium's layout is that half of it is open to public viewing from Devonshire and as a result you can just happen to catch a game or meet for free (although if you are a student it's free either way). A few years ago they hosted some meet here and Usain Bolt was a participant and sure enough he bought in a huge gathering of supporters that lined the entire fence. Something I've yet to see any University team accomplish. So if you have a friend in the football or cheer leading squad, it's worth the trip to go and see them or even if you are a fan of football, but as for visiting the location for itself, there's nothing too impressive to see here.

Went to see NKOTB. The show itself was great. Traffic to the venue was HORRIBLE. We missed DJ Jazzy…read moreJeff but made it right on time for Paula Abdul. They were so entertaining. It was my second time seeing NKOTB and first for Paula. We had a great time. The venue could have used police presence and traffic control especially after the show. Ubers and Taxis were literally blocking lanes of traffic making walking (crossing the street) and driving very unsafe. They (taxis/Ubers) left their illegally parked cars on the street and were walking around asking event attendees if they needed an Uber. They were also making erratic u-turns. We didn't see ANY police or traffic control. It was bad. The crowd was crazy inside for the food/drink and merch lines as it usually is for concerts, but we ate before going so we didn't buy anything. I went to the merch line after the show and the line went really quick. I got lucky and the merch I wanted was still available in our sizes. Also, we came to Toronto from California for this show. I wish there was more signage especially on the freeway for the Budweiser Stage. We didn't see any, but saw signage for other venues. We were using Google Maps so we ended up being fine. Would I go back to the Budweiser Stage? Maybe.

There's not a lot to this stadium. The shops aren't very well developed, and the food options are…read morelimited. There is a water fountain near the entrance: the trick is to twist the spout around 180 degrees so you can fill your water bottle. But, put it back so you don't just have water splashing onto the floor by those not expecting that. The one thing that you want to pay attention to is the side you sit on. If there's an afternoon game, and you're on the east side... well, the sun sets in the west, so that sun is directly on you. And it gets hot. Very very hot. Also, make sure you have a clear bag if you want to take anything in... It's not the worst stadium, and when you're in your seats it looks great, but it doesn't have a lot to offer.

As with many of my reviews, I do have a different spin. Here's mine with this stadium. BMO Field is where the old Exhibition Stadium used to be. BMO Field was established in 2007. It is the home of the Toronto Argonauts (Canadian Football League) and Toronto FC (Football (soccer) Club). I have seen all Argos games at SkyDome or Rogers Centre, depending on when the name change occurred. I have yet to see a Toronto FC game. My spin? Although BMO Field isn't a concert venue, the first and only concert that was held here was Genesis on September 7, 2007. I was there. It holds a special place in my heart. It was a fantastic concert. I don't know why it hasn't hosted more concerts. I was comfortable at this concert. Concession stands were everywhere. The prices were a bit expensive back then, but you expect that to be the case at any major entertainment event. The washrooms were clean and accessible. These days, I'm normally around the area to park. I remember seeing Erasure at Queen Elizabeth Theatre a few years back, which is across from BMO Field. I parked near gate 4. It was affordable and a fairly close walk over to the theatre on a soggy, rainy evening. I haven't seen any CFL games recently. I should, as I miss seeing all CFL action in a stadium. I'll need to give it a try at BMO Field in the upcoming Argos season. (127)

Several grab and go food and beverage kiosks were also available. If you are ever an exhibitor, check which Hall your program is in. Our ride app driver dropped us off at D, and we had a trek with our exhibit materials to Hall B! However, that area is great if you are using wheelchairs or have other needs. There is an elevator to the exhibit hall floors from the parking and street areas. This was a nice venue and the staff are all personable and professional!

I have been making frequent visits to Monarch Park lately, because it's winter softball time and…read morethis is where all the magic happens. First time I showed up there, I was a popsicle, it was possibly colder inside than it was outside. The heater was broken they say and it would take a few days, scratch that, weeks to get it fixed. Weeks later, it did get fixed, but only for one week, because the following week (this week), it's cold AF in there again. Beside that, Monarch Park is a full-sized soccer field is sectioned into quarters and is ultimately an all-purpose field. The many times I've been there, I have seen full on soccer games, adults and little ones training for soccer, there are people running on the track and obviously playing softball. The only downside to this place is the turf, the turf is a mix of "grass" and gravel get everywhere. In shoes, on my jackets, in my bag, everything. For softball, they also use a different ball, it's softer, and therefore bouncier, but it hurts less if you get it. Other than that, I'm just glad I get to continue playing softball indoors.
