They lack to tell you that to cancel you have to do it on your own and call the UK which is $30 a minute to do. I know this information from experience with purchasing this through them.

I know for emergencies you are not going to get a Vet around here after hours. You won't an where. You have to go to Allentown 's 24 hr Pet Centers and expect at least a $1000 dollar bill. I think Wilkes Barre has an Urgent Care Pet Hospital as well. If you love your pet enough then you will spend the money. This is also why I always have a back up Vet in case I can't get my pet into one Vet I have another Vet they can go to. It is not different than people.

I…read morecontemplated for a few days about writing this....We normally take our fur babies to COMPANION ANIMAL HOSPITAL ...Wednesday afternoon, when our little old lady Boston Terrier, went into seizures, and possibly a stroke, she couldn't move her legs and was having extreme difficulty breathing...We immediately phoned the COMPANION, where she has been receiving treatment for heart problems and such, so they were aware of her condition, and asked to speak to a doctor or if we could bring her over immediately.... The woman on the phone said she would speak to the doctor...she came back on the line and we were told the doctor would not come to the phone and we should take our dog to an emergency animal hospital....I asked the woman if it this was because they were closed...and the response was...."No, we're booked"...I explained again the circumstances and stated I didn't feel our dog was going to make it....again...she stated there was nothing they could do.....This however is what they post on their WEB PAGE.... Emergency & Urgent Care We have a veterinarian and personnel on duty 5 days a week who are trained and equipped to handle any urgent care your pet has. Emergencies can be things such a poisoning, hit by car, LENGTHY SEIZURES, etc. If you ever feel that your pet needs emergency treatment do not hesitate to call or come in immediately. If possible it is best to call before coming in so that a team member can advise you on your particular emergency........ Obviously, in our particular case, they must have forgot what they advertise....Remember, THEY WERE STILL OPEN at the time. I'm sure they were busy, and I'm sure the "virus stuff" excuse will have some bearing on their response...but the lack of compassion or care they exhibited, just very much disappointed us. Ultimately, in a panic, we called WILLOW CREEK VETERINARY HOSPITAL, a friend of mine had told me about this place a while ago.....they told us to bring her down IMMEDIATELY FOR EMERGENCY TREATMENT...We had never been there before, but they took us without question....ultimately our little girl had to be let go to fly with the Angels.....However, the concern and compassion and care, the doctor and staff at WILLOW CREEK showed us, have made a lasting impression on us....remember we were NOT their patients...but they treated our dog in her final moments like they had her all her life... Obviously I am writing this out of disappointment for how we feel we were abandoned in a time of dire medical need by the folks at COMPANION....I am sure there are those that have had good experiences at COMPANION ...I am not writing to sway anyone's belief....merely to vent my frustration...

She takes all the time you need to explain what is going on with your beloved pet and why. This is crazy ,but as much as my kitties hatd the car , they are usually quite happy to see her. She is one of those rare.people who seems to " commmuncate " a feling that she loves them and is there to help. If she feels it may help, she hss no problem referring you to a specialist or in my Von Kitty's case naturopath he even had kitty acupuncture and theraputic massage. I cannot say enough great things about this vet. We adore her and so do my kitties.She is a rare gem.

They don't get frustrated when you ask a lot of questions. All the veterinarian techs are the same way, clearly well educated and professional as well as friendly and kind. The front desk people are very easy to deal with too. The other thing I like is that the atmosphere is friendly, seems as though everyone gets along. I have been in other offices that are clearly just a business, in it for the money. This practice isn't like that. Highly recommend them. Since we wanted to get this looked at right away, we called and made an appointment. The vet did comb my dog for fleas and gave us medicine for mites. I asked if the vet if she was going to do a skin scrape for mites and she said they tend to hide so that wouldn't be conclusive. A week later my dog was no better so went to my regular vet. On hindsight, I should have done that from the beginning. My vet used a black light and said it was ringworm. He pulled some hairs, put them in a tube, and is sending them out for testing. He said it will take 10 days for a conclusive test but it was ringworm. When we called Rush and said that nothing was even tested, we were told the service was performed so basically, tough. I will not go there again.

I have had three golden retrievers over 39 years. That is how long I had been going to Silver…read moreMaple. Although I rarely had the same vet twice my three boys generally seemed to receive good care. (Note: The veterinary doctor turnover here is regular.) Things changed recently. The owner of the business was the attending vet when my pup needed care. My current golden is the gentlest friendliest dog on the planet. Due to virus circumstances, I had to drop him off rather than take him in. Three different vets prescribed hundreds of dollars in meds over the better part of a month. A special dog food was also prescribed. The limitations of the virus were significant but I paid what they asked. The canned food prescribed gave him diarrhea on top of the symptoms for which I took him in. I was concerned that we kept throwing expensive drugs and food at the problem with no success. When I called for information, the vet was often not in. He would respond via his cell. His caller i.d. was disabled so when my cell rang with an incoming call from "unknown" the first time, I didn't answer. When we finally talked, he had no notes and relied on me to tell him what we had done so far. As I attempted to fill him in, he would cut me off, rarely letting me finish a sentence. I took my pup in for a battery of tests. They kept him for an afternoon. When he got home he had a hairless patch just under his left eye that he didn't have before he went in. I was concerned. I called about it. They had just closed so I left a message with the answering service. Another vet returned my call. I was told no one knew anything about it. They said he must have rubbed the hair off on the cage in which he was confined. I voiced my concern. Dr. Sam eventually felt an endoscopy was required. They wanted to keep him for a day again. Due to the virus, the office was communicating in various ways. I emailed to ask they please take good care of him. Dr. Sam called to tell me he thought I was being "irritable" with his staff. HE was irritable and had an angry tone. I was never once voiced my concern in an unprofessional way. I told him I was shocked by this. He finally admitted that I had always been respectful and professional dealing with him. The day of the procedure, I emailed again to request they keep an eye on my little buddy. Dr. Sam called me and once again, in a very agitated voice told me "come get your dog." He was not going to do the endoscopy. He added angrily there would be no charge. No charge? Since they didn't do anything, I considered this to be an acerbic remark. One never knows what is going on in someone's life. Everyone is stressed during these times. Maybe this doctor is undergoing some extreme stress. That is NO excuse for this level of unprofessionalism. Given the circumstances, I feel the need to let others know what happened to us. We found another vet with less stress.
