I received a patient satisfaction survey and provided honest feedback regarding my visit experience. It said don't provide personal details and that it would be anonymous, I chose the option to only write to the practice and not do a public review (until after dealing with the exceptionally rude owners wife). The next day I was informed by a lady named Kristin (claiming to be the practice owner, she's obviously not) that I would no longer be a patient because the practice felt it was "not a good fit." My feedback was not directed at my physician (and I even complimented HER) && I greatly appreciated her over the past 3+ years, but rather it was about the patient experience. The nurse was rude and acts like she hates being there, several others I know that see the same doctor feel the same way but were scared to reach out, I see why. As a patient, I found it concerning that my feedback resulted in dismissal from the practice instead of ever asking why I felt that way. I believe patients should be able to provide constructive feedback without fear of losing access to their provider. I see this has been a continuous problem from Kristen, obviously a change is needed at this practice and she is putting a dent on Dr Dormans reputation. I can see now why some of the employees were so miserable. Losing access to a physician I trusted after over three years of care felt retaliatory. read more

Please note I have been going to this Doctors office for 20 yrs. On July 21st I left a message on their Teladoc site. The next day a nice person contacted me asked me what the issue was and at that point I was then transferred to an office manager by the name of Kristen Dorman (the doctor's wife)? I politely introduced myself at which time she then verbally started to harass me and told me I do not need to speak, you do not like what I am telling you and on and on. I kept saying please do not speak to me this way it is not necessary, please stop being verbally abusive to me, again a threating response of "well I will disregard you" and my rudeness is not illegal? The next day I received an email stating that my September 2025 appointment was canceled, and I was discharged from the practice? I have left several messages for my doctor to clarify if he indeed made this decision - no reply- I then was sent a letter saying I can pick up my records for a 1.00 per page! I am appalled that a medical practice would even speak to an established patient of 20 yrs. HIPPA was clearly broken when some woman via Teladoc asked me what the issue was and then transferred me to an office manager? Not my doctors nurse, or even their urgent care? The fact that a doctor allows this type of behavior to his patients (if he even knows) has caused so much stress and disappointment. Steere clear of this practice unless you want weight loss drugs at $350.00 a month or a medical marijuana license. It's my understanding that Dr. Dorman is not taking patients anymore and has not for years. I was told that he only sees people seeking medical weed. I made an appointment based on some of the good reviews but now I strongly believe the reviews were made by people other than true patients. This was one of the worse medical visits ever. In my opinion the physician assistant (Humberto) is inexperienced and only seeking to milk your insurance for everything he can without any regard for the patient. I was told I had a condition that was of concern to only find out later the condition is totally normal. I'm in the process of filing a complaint. I now drive to Saint Augustine for care, don't put your health in the hands of inexperienced wannabes. Also, the place is dirty, smelly and did not look sanitary. Unfortunately, Dr. Fruehan can't see patients because he was an excellent doctor- he may have had some issues but I didn't care because he was an expert. Dr. Dorman saw me when Fruehan couldn't and he said that I could continue to see him but his staff will not honor his promise. They lie to the insurance companies and sign up Dr. Dorman as a primary care physician taking new patients only to get you in the door with the PA. I am writing this wondering if Dr. Dorman even knows what is happening. I've been going to that clinic for over 20 years and the staff now treats me (and apparently, everyone else) horribly. I am a medical professional and I was even invited by Dr. Fruehan to work there years ago but now I have been treated as a nobody which is not right. Hopefully, someone will read this and let us know what is going on and why Dr. Dorman is not honoring his promises. read more

I spoke months ago with my doctor and he wondered where I have been. He is such a nice guy. I told him his staff dropped me as my primary doctor. He spoke to his nursing Staff and made them aware I was still his patient and we set up 4/12/24 as my reestablished patient appointment. I was so happy.... Today, I got a call from his office, and I was told that He is no longer accepting new patients and I am no longer allowed to call this office. His wife who works there told me that He is needing more time to spend with his family and is getting ready to retire soon. I was confused and beside myself? I need prescriptions refilled and he is my primary doctor? She said I was rude and said I am no longer allowed to even walk into "The Palm Coast Family Practice walk in Clinic, if I do, I will be thrown out? What? Is that even legal. And what did I honestly do to allow this to happen? This clinic is close to my house, and I have gone for years. If This doctor is unable to take me on as a Primary couldn't they offer or reassign me someone else? Now I am forced to find a primary doctor and most recommended doctors by my insurance are either no longer accepting new clients or it's a 6 month wait to reestablish a new patient... The walk-in clinic only charged me $ 10 copay. Now any walk-in clinic is $30 dollars or more as a new patient. I understand many people have complained about the quality of service at this office and I never really complained. However, this is really stressing me out and making me sick. Just be forewarned how awful this office can truly be and next time you need medical attention, I would look elsewhere... Thanks for listening. read more

WARNING!!! Do not go here for urgent care! I came in with an upper respiratory infection and was prescribed medication that the pharmacist told me it would interact very badly with the meds I'm on now. I called the urgent care THREE times the next day and explained everything thinking no big deal. They will send a different medication to take and no one called me back. Called back the next morning and the provider flat out said that the medication he gave me was ok to take. The lack of compassion and knowledge is unreal. I don't typically leave reviews but this is actually scary. Zero stars recommended. read more

Dr. Dorman has been taking care of our family for years and has been nothing but top notch! Issues with staff shouldn't cloud your perspective with the man himself who is knowledgeable, patient, resourceful, and always goes the extra mile when need be. This review is regarding Palm Coast Family Practice, for which Dr. Dorman is the medical director. To begin with, if I could give a ZERO, I would. I just had the unfortunate experience of dealing with the office manager, Kristen Dorman, who appears to be Dr. Dorman's wife, and who also claimed to "own the practice." I have been trying to pay an insurance balance with the office for three months without success. While it appears that the problem is with their selected medical records/billing system, Palm Coast Family Practice takes not responsibility for the situation. As I was trying to explain my situation to the billing clerk, Mrs. Dorman took over the call and blasted me for making suggestions as to how the process could be improved, told me I had no idea what I was talking about, although I have designed and implemented HIPAA-compliant medical records, billing and payment solutions, and then effectively hung up on me my passing be to a different billing clerk with a cold handoff. I have never experienced such lack of courtesy from an "office manager" at a medical practice. The nurse practitioners are great, but Kristen needs an attitude adjustment! read more
