She repeatedly emphasized how she comes from a long line of photographers, but apparently she didn't inherit any business sense from her ancestors. She also repeatedly talked about ensuring a great experience for me, but it seems to me the sessions were more about her than the customer. She and her employees were reluctant to turn over the photos I had bought because I refused to discuss having them frame them (I do my own framing and matting), though they eventually gave them to me. I will drive to Cheyenne or Fort Collins to get professional photographs taken before I use this place again. I advise anyone else needing photographs taken in Laramie to do the same (or find another Laramie photographer).

They were very responsive and very easy going when it came to any change in plans . They provided valuable input when asked and were accommodating to the schedules of our other vendors. On the day of the wedding, nothing felt posed, nothing felt forced, and they captured every natural laugh, tear, smile, and special moment throughout the day organically. They were such a fun couple with a great sense of humor and a pleasure to be around - which made smiling and laughing come naturally. It wasn't until after the wedding day rush, we realized JUST HOW RELIANT we would become on our photos. The day flew by and, for the next couple weeks, we replayed it over and over in our heads. It wasn't until we got our photos back, which turned out more beautiful than we expected or even remembered, that we realized all the small details we missed throughout the day - but of course, Ardent captured! :) While our wedding memories are fresh in our heads now, we know the details will blur after time. I got along with them so well and Rick and my fiance/husband hit it off so quickly -- making the picture-taking process much less cumbersome for my fiance/husband to navigate. 2) Flexible -- these two were so easy going and ran with the punches. We had a hiccup with our scheduled engagement shoot time and they were easy to switch their appts to accommodate. Our wedding was not your typical day and with all the madness and running around, Rick and Stephanie stayed collected and still turned out a beautiful product. 3) Style - I love the moments these two capture. They took time to understand our personalities and knew exactly when to snap a photo that would capture our true selves. 4) Price - although photography is pricey, I appreciate the amount of edited photos Ardent makes available to you. You aren't required to purchase individual photos from them and they send a personalized USB as a backup to the online album you have access to. Rick is funny and willing to roll around in the dirt for the perfect shot, while Stephanie is an amazing planner and a calm ear to listen to your thoughts and ideas. I've gone to this team twice for shoots and will continue to use them and make special trips back to Wyoming to make it happen.
