I spoke to someone by the name of Isha B. on the 5th of march. She insisted that i sign up for the automic pay, so that my insurance would stay at the rate of 198 in stead of $204. I declined her offer several times, because the card wasnt my card. She then sent me a new payment plan of $204 and instructed me to call back in 10 days to keep the payment at $198. HER MISTAKE WAS SHE SIGNED ME UP ANYWAY!! This month, which is april, i made my payment on the 7th. About a day or two pass and im receiving over draft fees, because of an automatic payment which was not AUTHORIZED!! So, i called immediately called to resolve the issue. I spoke to a male employee and He gave me false information. I made a double payment due to an error geico made and signed me up for automatic payment in which I declined several times since the month of march, because the card that I used last month belonged to my boyfriend. He told me he would refund it back to his card, which was a lie, because the policy was told to me after the fact that they wouild refund it back to the last card in which it was paid. All the while waiting for a response I accrued a debt of $174 in overages on someone else's card. FACT 1: if the card was not set up for automatic payment by geico, i wouldnt have to pay $174 FACT 2: If the money was put back on the card in which it wasnt suppose to come off of there would be no fees So i called today 4/16/2016, Geico insisted that is was my fault and i asked for them to listen to the recordings in which I declined the payment to be taken out automatically and I was told that I would have to get a subpoena from the courts. Smh "So in other words we dont value our customers, we just value your money" And thats bad for business.. If you pay attention to progressive auto insurance commercials the other insurance company they refer to is Geico. I dont know I left them to began with, they were Great! read more

I had HORRIBLE experiences with State Farm, whose insurance I had for home, car, and liability for more than 25 yrs (State Farm service has PLUMMETED in the last 10 yrs, which luckily, I discovered via a VERY simple car accident for which I was not at fault. The guy who hit me had Geico, which was 1000% more helpful, prompt, accurate. I was amazed!! Then I queried Arlington NextDoor, and the auto shop where my car was repaired, heard much praise for Geico (and many additional negative comments about State Farm!!!) The staff of this GEICO office is very good. Mr. Samuel Lorenzo was very patient to answer questions we had on the newly quoted policy and our question of the result of our driving records. That found out result actually made us realize that even a small mistake like we made when we pulled the vehicle out of the parking space and accidentally backed up onto an unoccupied truck with just a small dent, cost us points of driving. And this was never informed us when the old insurance company made a payment to the truck owner. We really learned a lesson from getting questions answered by Mr. Lorenzo because we could make inquiry to the old insurance company regarding the content of the claim which caused us increase of the insurance premium. If I could award more than 5 stars, I would! Matt was very friendly and offered great service. My previous insurance company was going to charge me $20 more per month for the same vehicle coverage when I hadn't had any accidents or made any claims on the policy. These guys are killing it. Just out of college and with a new car that I couldn't put on my parent's policy, I was struggling to find some affordable insurance. I looked at a lot of different companies (including Geico online), and the best I could get was ~$650/6 months. I called Geico's Alexandria office for the simple reason that, unlike many other insurers, they were open on Saturdays also. I worked over the phone with Jay Romero. In what is usually a tedious process, Jay was a pleasure to work with. Friendly, polite and trying to adjust to the extent possible to my needs and pay targets.
