I first found out about Weis Eye Center due to their membership with the Hermantown Area Chamber of Commerce and their radio commercials on 92.1 The Fan. Dr. Jeffrey Weis and the staff at the Weis Eye Center, specifically Bernie, were with me every step of the way making sure that all of my questions were answered and that I was comfortable with the process prior to the day of surgery. On the day of the procedure itself, I was in and out of the office in 15 minutes. The Z-LASIK itself was under two minutes and the staff made sure I was comfortable and aware of the process. The first few hours at home following the surgery does mean some burning and discomfort in the eyes which they recommend let pass by sleeping as much as possible. At the follow up visit the very next morning I was already seeing at 20/20! Each follow up was quick and easy. I highly recommend the Weis Eye Center!

We were able to go to our local hospital versus get in a long line of surgeries that exist at some of the local hospitals. Aftercare was encouraging , appointments were never backed up with delays. Office staff were pleasant and efficient. Insurance covered the majority of billing in our case but we checked that carefully beforehand to understand our responsibilities.

I remembered to bring my glasses (which I rarely wear) on my 6am flight... but I desperately needed my contact. So as I was driving up to Duluth I first searched yelp for Eye Doctors -- no luck, no reviews. :( Next call was to VSP to see which doctors in the area were covered. The first eye doctor on their list in Duluth was Blustin. So I called as I was driving north and spoke with a very pleasant associate, Jessica, who patiently listened to my dilemma. She said that all their appts the next day were booked, but she'd get me on the waiting list. Good enough... she called, there was a cancellation! I was stoked... It was time for my annual eye exam anyways. The entire staff was extremely friendly during my appointment. The appt was timely. The office may not have had as many bells and whistles as some other offices I've been in on the West Coast, but...I felt as though the doctor was definitely more thorough and more knowledgeable. Clearly they care for each of their patients, as you'd expect from a small town office. I didn't check out the frames this visit as I was only there for contacts and my visit went fast. But... I would definitely recommend this location for your eyecare! (And it's supported by VSP Insurance!!)
