I recently visited Zen Eye Care for an eye exam and new specs. I was extremely impressed with the level of care I received. I have several eye related problems that the optometrist was very knowledgeable about. He was able to explain my issues in a way that I was able to understand, and the technology used was like something out of star trek. My search for new frames was a breeze with the help I received from the optician. I have a large head that can make finding glasses that are wide enough difficult. I went into Zen with a host of issues. I hadn't been to the eye doctor in 5 years and considered many of the issues I had as normal for me - difficulty seeing at night, extreme motion sickness, plenty of eye strain, and a few others. In 30 minutes, Eric worked like a wizard to correct ALL of these. I am happy to say that my motion sickness is completely gone along with all of my other symptoms. Not only was Eric amazing, but Sonja as well. She ordered an Article One frame in a color that they did not even have in the store and I get compliments on them daily. I recently had an issue with my eye that I knew Eric would be able to help me with. Eric did exam and was very thorough in explaining things I should be aware of and that eye issues could also mean that my body may be having other issues. I found this to be a while health approach and really appreciated the insight. I also love their space, the amazing smells from the diffuser and of course their amazing customer service. Phenomenal small business. What I appreciate most is Eric and his staff's natural ability to work with young children and people who have disabilities. He remembers their names and interests and takes the time to help them feel comfortable. The shop itself is cozy and warm- very non-medical, which we appreciate. Good selection of eyeware. I can't say enough good things about this practice. Dr. B was extremely knowledgeable and patient in addressing all of my vision concerns. The office has a very pleasant atmosphere. I was offered tea upon arriving. He used a variety of interesting new technological devices that made the entire exam the most efficient and painless one I've ever had. Dr. B(estever) was my eye doctor in Colorado Springs Co for 8 years. He was just starting out. He accomplished a great deal in that time. I was so sorry to lose him. Now he has his own practice which was long past due for him---the place he deserves to be. He is an awesome doctor but even more significant---a wonderful human being! I will always miss him. Professional and yet fun! If you have to go to a Dr. why not have it be fun? Personal, professional and although i bought new glasses I was told i could get by with my old prescription. It's worth going just to fill out their medical history form online. read more
