My daughter had serious oral trauma from being intubated as a toddler, and with years of loving, patient, compassionate care they have turned that trauma around and we now have a girl who will literally trust them to do ANYTHING dental that she needs done! The most epic example is on Mother's Day this year, she knocked out a permanent tooth while playing. Dr Christina left her own children for hours on a Sunday/Mother's Day to come in and replant the tooth, with skill and respect for my daughter throughout the procedure. The tooth is now thriving again thanks to multiple check ups and little interventions she has done along the way! That experience could have scarred us all for life but instead my daughter happily skips into the office. THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS!

I chose this children's dentist based on positive reviews and decided to go out-of-pocket,…read moreexpecting a smooth experience. Unfortunately, after our second visit, things went downhill quickly. Our appointment was for our 1-year-old daughter -- a very simple visit with no X-rays or special procedures. Because I was paying out of pocket, I was supposed to be charged the full amount upfront, with insurance billing afterward for reimbursement. That did not happen. Weeks later, I received a surprise bill for over an additional hundred dollars. This was never discussed at the time of the visit and came completely out of the blue. While surprise billing is generally not allowed in California (with dentists often excluded), this felt like billing in bad faith. When I called the office to clarify, I was told I still needed to pay the balance and that because I had used a "coupon" on my first visit, I was "still getting a good deal." There was no apology, no acknowledgment of their billing mistake, and no accountability for failing to charge the correct amount initially -- just a demand for more money. I specifically chose this office instead of an in-network provider because I assumed they knew how to properly handle out-of-pocket visits. They clearly did not. Additionally, I was not given a choice regarding fluoride treatment for my daughter. She was only 1 year old, had no evidence of tooth decay, and there was no discussion about whether fluoride was necessary or optional. I believe parents should be informed and given the choice before exposing such a young child to fluoride, especially when the need is not clearly established. That conversation never happened. Overall, this experience was disappointing and frustrating. If you're considering this office -- especially if you're paying out of pocket -- be aware that you may receive unexpected bills weeks later and that important treatment decisions may be made without proper discussion or consent.

Absolutely magical experience at Little Cloud Pediatric Dentistry!…read more From the very first phone call, I knew we had found something special. Every single person we encountered was amazing -- starting with the receptionist who greeted us so warmly at the door and immediately made us feel welcome. Our hygienist, Irma, was beyond wonderful. She sang songs to my daughter, explained every step so calmly and gently, and truly helped ease any anxiety a first-time dental visit might bring. Watching my daughter feel comfortable and happy was priceless. And then there's Dr. Rachel -- hands down the sweetest, most patient, and kind-hearted dentist we've ever met. She has such a natural way with kids that you can tell this is more than just a job for her. But the staff who completely stole our hearts? Pearl and Onyx, the fluffy white cloud therapy dogs , along with their incredible trainer (Dr. Rachel's amazing husband!). They added such a special, comforting touch that made the experience truly unforgettable. The decor and overall warmth of this office honestly makes me wish I were a kid again -- I'd love to come here for my own dental appointments! (Sadly, Dr. Rachel only sees patients up to age 26.) My daughter has not stopped talking about her visit and is already counting down the days until she gets to come back in 6 months. As a parent who spent an entire year researching and searching for the perfect pediatric dentist for her very first visit, I can confidently say: you will NOT be disappointed choosing Little Cloud. We are so grateful to have found this place.

From the moment we walked into Little Cloud, it was a completely different experience. The team took the time to let our girls touch all the dental tools before they used them, and explained everything in a way that made them feel safe and comfortable. The TV and headphones helped distract them during their checkup, and all the goodies they received gave them something to look forward to. For the first time, they actually left the dentist excited to come back! Our youngest, just a year and a half old, recently had her very first checkup here. The staff was so kind and patient, letting her explore and get comfortable at her own pace. It made a world of difference and the appointment went smoothly without any tears. One of the most wonderful touches is the therapy dog! Our kids absolutely loved interacting with the gentle pup--it made the whole visit even more special and calming for them. We are so grateful to have found Little Cloud Pediatric Dentistry. They truly understand how to make kids feel at ease, and we couldn't recommend them more highly!

I went to another oral surgeon, Dr. Karas, who said he "...wouldn't touch me with a 10 ft pole" and told me to leave my 6 year old infection in my right lower back molar alone because if I try to pull the tooth, I will create a permanent hole in my gums leading into my sinus. Leave it until it starts hurting he said. I did for 2 years. I went back to my Oncologist and told him what Dr. Karas said. My Oncologist said his patients who are still on Zometa have their teeth pulled all the time without incident. He referred me to Dr. Gronbach. I cannot say enough about Dr. Gronbach. Not only did he pull the tooth (it's now been 4 months and is healing beautifully), but he listened to my whole ordeal, scheduled surgery and offered to give me general anesthesia since I was so scared, took 3d xrays and explained the entire process. It was the easiest surgery I have ever had and I did not have any pain. If I would not have found Dr. Gronbach, I will still have an active infection in my mouth. Dr. Gronbach is kind, intelligent, patient, sympathetic, thorough. Great bedside manner! He spent two visits going over what he was going to do and why. He even let me take pictures of the xrays and explained everything in such detail for my husband and I. Great oral surgeon - he will be doing all of my dental work from here on out.

This review is long overdue but I feel needed to help future parents who are considering Iron Horse…read morefor their kids.  Cons: I came to Iron Horse in the first place b/c of a bad experience at another dental office and was hoping it would be my "forever" dentist.  I was incorrect and should have trusted my gut. This place is very x ray happy and does so without your permission, consent or any heads up.  I had made it clear I wanted the x ray schedule to be more on the conservative side since we were coming from other offices who had also done x rays which I provided.  During the last visit I was there we weren't due for X rays for 6 months and I had to physically stop them from doing an x ray on my son that wasn't necessary (more nice to have).  I forced them to write on my file to get my sign off before doing x rays moving forward.  I also realized after leaving Iron Horse that they did a Panoramic X ray on my son which is only supposed to be done every few years. During another visit my son had a full set of x rays done for a routine check up and was told "he was fine and that there were no issues" by Dr. Hazel. 2 weeks later he returned to do sealant (something the office pushed that I shouldn't have done) and Dr. Hazel found a huge cavity in a previous filling that she said was "created in the last 2 weeks".  The whole series of events seemed strange b/c why didn't we see this cavity 2 weeks prior during the check up? Was the cracked filling created while they were doing the sealant? What are the chances of a cavity being created in 2 weeks? I was very confused and didn't get much clarity when I pushed for answers which didn't sit well with me.  This interaction + doing x rays without my sign off ultimately caused me to leave the office. Pros: Dr. Hazel is nice to the kids and makes the experience positive and the office has all kinds of fun bells and whistles to make it an engaging experience for the kids (massage chairs, toys, ipads etc..) At the end of the day if you're looking for a more conservative dentist who will only push required procedures, x rays and suggestions this isn't the place for you.
