I came here for an event - Royal Change Fitcation. My review is not of the event, just of the sportsplex. Decent amount of free parking. Bathrooms had a decent amount of stalls. However, at some points, the sinks and toilets had some issues. Grounds are well maintained. read more

This place is HUGE! We've been to several regional lacrosse tournaments here and the only thing I find lacking every time is parking spaces. Fields are great and there's always enough space to set up lawn chairs, tents, blankets, etc. There's also nice, generally flat walkways between fields which makes it easy if you're dragging carts full of stuff. Restrooms are generally clean. There's plenty of trash receptacles and they're emptied regularly. But the parking situation can be horrendous when there's a multi-state/regional tournament and then it's quite a walk from where you end up parking to the field you want to go to. read more

Fantastic sports complex! We were here for a Rugby Tournament - "Ruggerfest". The fields are al turf and maintained beautifully. The bathrooms were maintained by the staff on a constant basis. That's always nice at a sports complex. They have a massive parking area which is needed due to the massive size of the tournaments that are held here. They had a food truck on site which was great due to the fact that we were there all stinkin day! They do not have bleachers so make sure to bring your bag chairs as well as a pop up tent if you're planning on being there the entire day. Really cool place! read more

Such an awesome spot! I've been here on a few occasions and it seems with every visit the location is expanding. There is a full soccer pitch with an incredible stadium, tons of parking and absolutely beautiful turf fields. The facility is extremely well maintained and is in great shape, always --very clean and free of trash. There are many amenities from clean restrooms, snack booths, picnic tables, chairs and covers areas, and a great park for kids. There are also a handful of walking trails, too. CSA often host their Matthews camps here and those are fantastic --highly recommend. It's very easy to get to from I74 but can be awkward if entering from downtown Matthews. Overall a terrific place. read more

Great fields! Clean. Easy to navigate. Most of the time the parking is easy, organized and convenient. Tournaments can get complicated with parking but I haven't been to a sporting complex where big events don't get a bit complicated with parking. read more

Since my 3 years of being a soccer mom, this is the best soccer field I have ever visited. We had 3 games here and the accommodations were multi-team friendly, spacious, clean. They have actual bathrooms and no porta-potty. There is ample parking and signs to direct you to the various fields. There are seats for the players on the sidelines. Best of all...they have reasonably priced mobile food vendors on site = WIN WIN WIN!!! This was with the commute for this weekend's games and I hope we play here again or the Triangle areas builds something similar. read more

Really nice artificial turf fields, brand new facility in Matthews. I believe field access is rental only for now but nice flat pavement around fields would be good for walking, very nice playground for the kiddies. read more

It's a nice sportsplex overall with playgrounds, a nice trail, a stadium and like 12 fields. These soccer/football/rugby/lacrosse/field hockey fields have lines and goals/goalposts for each sport so you can come and play whatever you want. The turf is not the best but fairly new so it's not bad either. Instead of those black rubber pellets it's a weird brown sand-ish filling and the fake grass isn't the best quality. However it's a large complex so you can usually have a field to yourself. The other thing is especially in the "B" area the turf is not even (I'm not talking about a crown on the field) but one corner of the field is probably 5 feet higher than the other side or the penalty kick area is pretty indented etc... overall it is a nice facility though and I enjoy coming here read more

Went to my first Independence game here last night and it was great! Not only did they win, but th facility is first class! Nice and clean bathrooms, staff was all friendly and the whole place is just nice and clean from he parking lots to the stands. Can't wait for Saturday's game! read more
