After 4 years, I'm waking up with constant back and shoulder pain. The mattress has weird sagging, which they deemed not enough for warranty, but my body doesn't agree. I'm pretty fit and active, and to be this sore every morning is brutal. We rotate the mattress on schedule, follow the care instructions, and it's just wild how fast this thing wore down. The quality leaves so much to be desired for such a premium price. So many reviews are from the immediate aftermath of a genuinely great sales experience, but not years into owning a 3k mattress which should have lasted longer. Now we're looking for a new mattress and hoping we find something that will last longer than 4 years.

I had a mattress previously purchased from Urban Mattress and shared with Ken the photos of the mattress model. Ken assured me my existing mattress would work well with this platform which costs thousands of dollars. He also did not tell me the mattress had no return policy if it did not work once installed. After installation, I saw the mattress did not "bend" snug with the platform when raised in various ways. The installer and manager who they called told me it would work ok. The mattress and platform are incompatible as after 2 weeks there was still several inches of air gap between the platform and mattress. The comfort was not good and does not provide full use of the platform. I contacted the store and emailed picutres of the problem to the Boulder office as instructed. I was informed that the Owner denied the return request. I have purchased several mattresses over the years from Urban Mattress and am extremely disappointed with the Owners response and lack of concern. So I am out thousands of dollars with a very substandard product system. DO NOT buy the platforms or support this company unless you want to risk a lot of money.

James also personally oversaw the delivery, assembly and placement of all of the furniture. It was amazing to see our beautifully furnished home for the first time and sleep in our dream cloud beds after our 30-hour journey from Florida. James made sure everything was exactly perfect. When our sleeper side didn't fit down the stairs, James quickly swapped it out for a Queen futon that same day! The level of service was incredible. As such I took Thursday, April 2 off from work to make sure that I was available to receive my order in person once I was notified of the actual day of delivery which they never did. That Thursday I contacted Denver City Furniture to find out the status of the delivery of the mattress to my new location where I was moving. They contacted the shipper, presumably FedEx and they were notified that the mattress had been dropped off on Wednesday, April 1. This means that I took a day of PTO for no reason and my mattress was sitting outside possibly available for porch pirates and I was none the wiser. In attempting to get compensated for the monetary equivalent to my loss of a PTO day, I was given a $100 credit to the store which basically covers one goddamn pillow. Despite my frequent pleas for compensation that at the very least matched the monetary equivalent to my lost day of personal time off, I was stonewalled. This is a slap in the face and the message being sent is that my time my frustration and their lack of ability to effectively communicate logistics is only worth less than half of a day pay for me that I am now out. Suffice to say Ashley furniture, and Denver city furniture will not be getting any additional business from me. To be fair, Mark, the sales guy was a peach. Unfortunately though they'll never get my business again and I will be reporting Ashley furniture to the Better Business Bureau because they suck balls. Of course I contacted Ashley corporate and they were zero help and told me I needed to contact city furniture for any help with this. So in predictable form, one entity is pointing fingers at another entity, saying they need to take care of it. Meaning it's a vortex of lousy service.

Great bed and service!…read more We live near by and stopped in after doing a ton of research on mattresses. We were convinced after researching that we really wanted to feel what a latex mattress was really like. We spent 2 hours in the store with awesome help from one of the guys there (sorry can't remember name - started with C maybe). We ended up buying a Wazee Cal. King and they just happened to have one marked down because it had an old cover on it. Marked down substantially. We took it, a new frame, and box spring. It was delivered later in the week. After sleeping on it a few days, there was something odd with it. We felt like we were rolling toward the center and the firmness varied across the mattress, almost like someone had slept only on one side for a while. We went back in the next weekend and talked to the same guy who said that shouldn't be and assured us it was a brand new mattress. I read there are often seams in latex beds that large do get the proper dimensions so he suggested we unzip the cover and see if there are and seams in it. Sure enough, there were not one, but two seams longitudinally. We took some photos, went back to the store, showed him and within 30 second said that wasn't right and they would bring us another mattress, no issue. I emailed the photos to him for documentation and received a call later that night from Sean - the owner. Of course I at first thought he was going to try to reneg on the replacement mattress, but I was wrong. He wanted to come take a closer look at it and feel it himself since he would be out of town when the mattress was to be returned to the warehouse. I had no problem with that and he came to our place, on a Sunday no less, toe check this out. He stated for sure it was wrong and likely from their latex manufacturer trying to eliminate waste. He didn't seem pleased and apologized again for the issue. We got the new mattress and my wife said it is 100% better already. I'm travelling so I'll find out later. Thanks to Sean and his guys for an overall great experience. I, on the other hand wanted to know what I was buying and somehow Daniel was able to keep us both happy. Details for me and comfy factor for her. Daniel made us feel important and cared more about what we wanted and didn't seem to push a specific make on us. Extremely patient and seemed to know a lot. Daniel also had excellent communication and he's definitely the only one I'd deal with from now on. I recommend asking for Daniel if you're at this store.

You can't, like, go to a store and lay down and mattresses during this thing -- at least not during lockdown, when I happened to need a mattress -- so I decided to try calling Andy to see if he'd be able to coach me through a purchase by phone. I wouldn't think that "mattress-by-phone" would work, but Andy is freaking brilliant. We spent like an hour on the phone, talking through my wife and my sleep preferences, and he explained how all of the different materials worked, sent me links to a few options, and then helped me make a final decision about how to customize the firmness of the mattress. Frankly, he nailed it. That's the wizardry of a nice guy who knows how to listen -- and who has been helping people find mattresses for a long, long time. Yeah, the mattress is awesome and organic, and that's great. We chose one that has three layers of foam, so you can continue to tweak the firmness over time. That's also great. But Andy is the real star here -- he's a great dude, and he knows his stuff.

GO ELSEWHERE~ Bad integrity with warranty!…read more I purchased a VERY expensive wool\spring mattress from Urban Mattress with a 20 year NON-prorated warranty. $3,095 + tax. The mattress is failing and there are sunken areas in which my body now sinks in around 25% (I mostly sleep on my back)! I weigh slightly over 100lbs. I'm not a heavy person putting undo stress on the mattress. Based on some comments from Urban Mattress, I've discovered this mattress is failing for many people, not just me. The customer service lady first offered to replace with a USED display mattress! That's not what the promise of the warranty is! They are refusing to replace it with the same despite the NON-PRORATED warranty, unless I pay an additional $900. They want me to participate in their replacement cost! I even offered to let them substitute with a different but similar brand of wool mattress that costs less. They said no. They said they'd replace (for free) with a latex mattress. I did not purchase a latex mattress! I purchased a very expensive wool one because I'm allergic to latex and also chemical sensitive. Wool mattresses have no toxins, no latex, do not off gas, and have no toxic fire retardants. The customer service person (not sure, but I think she's the daughter of the owner) said her mother and sister have latex allergies and were OK with their latex and asked me to try one of their organic latex pillows. I agreed in hopes of compromise and getting this resolved, even though it's not a wool mattress. I tried the organic latex pillow and broke out in hives. Of all the crazy off the wall things, after breaking out in hives from the latex pillow test, they offered to give me a free box spring instead of a new mattress to replace my failed mattress. I have a platform type bed that I bought from them when I purchased the mattress. It is 100% complaint with the mattress warranty and in very good condition! My 20 year non-prorated warranty is for the mattress! It's not for a box spring, not a latex mattress... it's for a wool\spring mattress. Shop elsewhere! They don't stand behind the warranty's for their mattresses.

I came in on a Saturday with very little idea of what I wanted besides a new couch and a new mattress. I said I was a side sleeper with lower back problems and would like a mattress on the firmer side, and Cary had me try out several different mattresses, increasing in firmness each time so I could find the one that felt best. Next we started in on couches, and based on my feedback he directed me to one I had originally ignored. As soon as I sat in it I knew it was the one, it just felt right, and even trying other options none compared. He called me on Monday to confirm a delivery window on Tuesday with a third party moving service. Due to an issue with the delivery company's website, they never got the order, and he called me on Tuesday as soon as he realized what happened. He tried to get them to still deliver same day, but they didn't have availability until the following day, which worked out fine. He even offered to deliver the items himself out of consideration for my work schedule. All-in-all a fabulous shopping experience.
