But at the same time you could very easily leave with an absurd variety of things that are surprisingly sold in the same store and if you aren't careful spend a small fortune. I mean there is a reason for awhile there was a trend online where people film videos asking a friend if they had "fill in the blank bizarre item" with friend then showing said bizarre item that did actually exist here. My wife and I enjoy coming here for spotting the absurd things they have for sale but also do find useful buys as well. Some of the stuff I am unsure how it ever sells though, like some of the pictures I have added. Prices can be hit or miss with some good deals but some prices seem overpriced. This is a store where some items even have their price versus what the typical retail price would be. I am skeptical of these due to the fact they could make up numbers to make it seem like a deal. If you are a fan of seasonal based items you will find a lot here with right now being fall versions of everything you can imagine. Honestly a store visiting even if you are just going to browse, you will likely find one oddity you want to buy. Be warned though this place also frequently has extremely long checkout lines especially close to the holidays.

But the stuff here is so generic, I don't know how that can be true. It's full of home furnishings like lights, mirrors, rugs, throw pillows, bedding, and various furniture, kitchen products like cookware and dinnerware, wall art that seems like it's printed from stock photos, loads of cheap seasonal decor, and very random food like chocolates you've never heard of, off-brand hot sauces, and random pickled produce. And there's stuff absolutely everywhere, quite literally overflowing from bins. For me, all I see here is store full of things that will eventually end up in the landfill. As a person who is overstimulated easily, errs on the side of minimalism, and makes purchases intentionally, this is not a shopping experience for me.

What are you supposed to do whilst they are fixing it? #3 what do you get when you fix a piece of crap? A fixed piece of crap? #3 asked to speak to Catherine's supervisor, she tells me the only person she answers to is the owner Mr. Samaras, and he's not in for a few days. I already went to a REPUTABLE mattress store and bought a purple mattress. All I want is Portland Mattress Makers to come and get their product and be honest and at least give me a portion of my money back... ie mattress guaranteed for ten years... give me back eight years back! If you're choosing between Michael's in Portsmouth, NH and their Biddeford, ME store... Biddeford…read moreis a clear winner, and worth the drive. (It's close to the I-95 exit, not in downtown Biddeford.) The store's selection of fine art supplies is superb. The staff are tremendously helpful. (Yes, the store can be a little understaffed at times, but if you ask for help at the front register, someone will help you immediately. And they'll go FAR out of their way to help you find exactly what you need, answer questions, share honest opinions, and so on.) While we're staying around York (Maine), we choose the Biddeford store every time. (When we don't, we regret it.) Michael's has become one of the few remaining chain stores carrying a wide range of arts and crafts supplies, including fabrics. That's frustrating, since each store can stock a limited range of products within each niche. However, if you're around southeast Maine - or even in coastal NH - the Biddeford store is the place to shop, especially for fine art supplies. I spent a short and I mean short time looking up and down the aisles and finally decided, I was out of my league, and searched for an associate to help me. I found one and she dropped what she was working on and let me on, what I thought was a scavenger hunt. She knew exactly where to go and I followed like a lost puppy and In a short time we arrived in the correct location. They were out and she suggested I order online. Now, my visit could have simply ended there, however sensing my disappointment, she suggested an alternative. Perhaps they have something that I could use in the Cricut aisle and off we went again. She immediately identified the Cricut "chalk board" vinyl and I was delighted. You know the saying, "A happy wife, a happy life." With this in mind, why only four stars you ask? Well, their regular prices are a bit on the high end, unless you catch a sale or are lucky enough to have a coupon. The refrigerator that I purchased from them 10 years ago broke down and I called them to schedule a service call. They said it would be 6 weeks!!!! What do you do for 6 weeks without a refrigerator. I purchased these appliances from Agren because they claim they will service them. Again, I say they couldn't send someone out for 6 weeks! I called another local company and they fit me in the very next day. I will never again purchase an appliance from Agren. NEVER! Also, I had an issue with the ice maker on said refrigerator about a year after I purchased it and a burner on a gas stove I also purchased from them (over 5K for these two appliances). These appliances sit side by side and when I called to make a service call for both them they said that I would have to book and pay for two separate service calls. COME ON! Is this how you treat a loyal customer? In the last year I purchased a front loading washer and dryer. The dryer just doesn't dry clothes. I called them immediately to come take a look and the service technician simply told me to read the manual and that the dryer was fine. Didn't show me how it worked just told me to read. I read the manual before calling and long story short he was no help and the dryer still struggles to dry a load of laundry (already checked other factors like the vent etc). Overall POOR service once you have made the purchase and have the appliance. Great before that point. I will NEVER buy another appliance from them again!!!!!!!!!! I have already needed more and have purchased from other stores.
