I ordered a mattress and it was delivered but then 2-3 weeks in the mattress sank in the middle. I called for a replacement and was told to take a picture of the mattress. Then I was told of their 120 day guarantee which sounded great until she said it's with an additional fee of 249.00!!!! This is insane. Any replacement or return mattress comes with an additional fee of $249.00. After only having my new mattress for a couple of weeks I now must pay 249.00 to get a replacement or a refund. Terrible service and obviously terrible selections of mattresses. read more

Just moved to Baltimore from Seattle and worst experience ever. We wanted to find a mattress for our new apartment without a clear idea about what we want so we decided to have a look at this place. Stepped into the store, a guy came to us and greeted us. We said our budget at around 800bucks then he took us to the very back of the store. All the mattresses there were leaning against the wall and we had no way to lie on them. My boyfriend and I then went to try the other mattresses in the store. The guy who greeted us then came by and told us that we cannot try the mattress and somebody had to be with us if we wanted to try them so that they can do the cleaning. Nobody has told us this rule in Seattle's Mattress Firm at all!!!! We said that we just wanted to find a mattress that we both like and there was no way if we didn't try it. And the guy just smirked at us and said "even its 10 times more expensive." I then looked around the store. There was a couple sitting on a mattress right in front of their front door with no salesmen standing by. And the other salesperson was not cleaning the mattresses at all after the other couple tried those ones. I was thinking about buying their "expensive" mattresses before but now I would rather go to Purple's or any other mattress brands' website and order there. Went in yesterday about 1 hour becore closing with my husband and 2 kids to look for a new mattress. Joe greeted us and seemed happy to help us. At first. I hv lived in the neighborhood for 6 years and has purchased 2 other mattesses from this store in 2014 without issues. I explained to Joe what we were looking for and started trying out matresses. I realized we were there for a while as he was helping another customer as well while we were trying out matresses. All was fine until the end when I had said that we would think about it and return. Mainly our kids were getting hungry and started to deteriorate. That was when the joking stopped and became quite hostile and rude. He wanted to look up a possible deal that he could get for us which we really appreciated. My husband asked if we could call back for the deal because we need to feed the kids and he snapped back saying that we "could wait a couple of minutes after (he) stayed stayed an extra 45 minutes after closing for (us)". I was taken aback. We complied. For the record, never asked him to keep the store open. When we asked about upcoming deals and whether there are other things that can be included, to which he could just easily said no to, he replied that this is not a "flea market" and that maybe we should just suffer a little more pain on our current mattress. He then started locking the doors. Wow. I'm sorry Mattres Firm. There is a reason people prefer online shopping and your company proved it. read more

Many, many thanks to Josh at Mattress Firm Canton Crossing! I needed to replace my boxed spring with a 5 inch depth boxed spring....following a fall and injuries last October, access to my bed was restricted as my boxed spring was 9 inches deep. That put it too high for me to get into safely. Not only was he totally professional, polite, knowledgeable, and a good representative of Mattress Firm, he was sympathetic to my plight. He seemed truly interested in helping me resume sleeping in my own bed instead of an uncomfortable hospital bed. ( I bought my bed at the Mattress Firm in Greensboro, NC a couple of years ago.) He quickly located the boxed spring I needed, set up the purchase and delivery, and we concluded the sale within minutes. I could not have been more pleased. Delivery took place exactly on time today! The delivery crew was quick, efficient, polite, and helpful. They removed the plastic covering from the new boxed springs and also removed the boxed springs being replaced. I am very pleased. It is difficult enough being newly handicapped and adjusting to new limitations. It is also often frustrating trying to get help to ease the situation of daily living. Josh made it so easy with his kindness and expertise. Please know that I am referring other folks to the Canton Crossing location...and telling them to "ask for Josh!" We had a very pleasant experience buying our Purple 3 mattress here. We'd visited the store five years ago when we were looking for a budget mattress and were disappointed with the options and service, so we were a little apprehensive this time -- but we ended up very happy. We'd done some research ahead of time and told Frank, the salesman, we were interested in the Purple or the Tempurpedic. He was attentive but not at all pushy and let us take our time selecting the one we wanted. (He was also very tolerant of our 6-month-old daughter who was in tow.) Signing up for no-interest financing was easy, and we were able to select a delivery date at our new residence in the D.C. area. Came here to check out their purple mattresses with the intent to buy online. Staff was super helpful and accommodating. They informed us that they would match any deals we found online and so I was going to purchase in store instead of online. Ultimately, we went with a different bed brand and model and purchased elsewhere, but I really wish I could have given my business to them. read more

We went to Sleepy'a to get a new bed after moving from California and was immediately greeted by Paul. He asked us what our budget was and the type of bed we wanted, and chose 2 different beds for us to try on. Paul hit it out of the park, gave us 2 great options. He let us try the beds out for a few minutes and told us in detail the difference between the 2. We ended up taking the spring air Arden plush. It felt like I was sleeping on clouds. During the purchase, Paul also gave us tips on city life and how to drive in the snow, which was super helpful! He was so nice and made the experience that much better!! read more

I have two mattresses from this store. I will agree with previous reviews that the customer service is very good in the sale of a bed. Unfortunately, the customer service after the sale sucks. We had to exchange a mattress and ended up with one even worse. After a year my wife and I can't even sleep on it anymore. We are now in the process of filing a claim, which you have to pay for. Most likely will end up in court or getting the States AG involved. If you think a 10 year mattress warranty is good, forget about it. The warranty has more holes then Swiss cheese. Once you exceed the return time, you're done. Stay away from the Ashway Plush and Hartfield Luxury Firm. Total garbage. Megan, I see you responded but did not leave any contact info. It's true what they say. Paul is great. I came in with very specific parameters, but he delivered! I asked about doorbusters and delivery, and everything worked out. Paul was very cooperative, allowing us to try out a number of different mattresses, always within the price range given. He wasn't one to try and extraneously up-sell, which I appreciated. He gave us a range of options, and in the end, his honesty and helpfulness is what cinched the sale. The best part was the delivery guys came the very next day (how's that for speedy delivery?) WITHIN THE TIME SLOT GIVEN. That's miraculous in and of itself, but they also came around 9a (we chose 8a-12p), which thankfully gave us the rest of the day to go about our business. This store has EXCELLENT service. Joe is the man. We were new to the area and were spending our nights tossing on a blowup bed. Joe ensured that we would have a mattress to sleep on the next day. AND THATS EXACTLY WHAT HE DID. In decision making, he never rushed us, let us try whatever we want however many times we wanted, gave us recommended pillows to make sure we would have a real experience, then was patient as it took us two days to make a final decision. Then he did EVERYTHING to give us a good deal on our hybrid beautyrest mattress. Armando was our salesman when my husband and I bought a new mattress, box spring, and bed frame a few weeks back. He was very kind, helpful, patient, and not at all pushy in helping us choose the right one, plus he got us an extremely reasonable price. My husband had just been diagnosed with a pretty bad herniated disc and we needed a replacement for our terrible Ikea mattress ASAP, so we were thrilled when we were told our new bed would be delivered the very next day. Our mattress and bed frame arrived quickly and easily the next day as promised--but there was a mix-up with the box spring (because it was a king-sized bed, we needed two box springs, and got only one). Since we had already gotten rid of our old bed, I was in a panic. My husband was in so much back pain that day; the prospect of having him sleep on a mattress on the floor was not a good one. I called the store and spoke with the manager, Joe, and though there was some initial confusion, he was able to get the second box spring to our home BEFORE THE END OF THE DAY with no extra cost. Joe even made sure to let me know that he'd be in the store until late, and let me know that I should call him if I had any trouble with anything. The guys who made the delivery were polite and courteous, put the whole bed together very quickly, and we were able to sleep in our new bed that night. Stopped in today (Black Friday) to check out some mattress deals. We had good service at first, and the sales guys were very patient with us, guiding us from bed to bed to find something that suited us both. As we looked at prices (at the end, only when we asked, most things aren't marked), we began to realize that we wanted to wait until we move, rather than now. When it became clear that we weren't buying that instant, the guy helping us seemed automatically disinterested. He didn't give us his card, offer to write down the mattresses we liked, or say goodbye. He just seemed so sad... poor guy... I'm not too familiar with mattress stores, and being in Baltimore for the first time, I decided to pick the one I had nearest to my new home. A gentleman named Paul "helped me" pick my mattress. At first he seemed nice, but once I told him my budget (college budget around 300-400), he didn't seem like he wanted to help me at all. I said I wanted something simple and easy to use and affordable since I came here to study. When he showed me a couple of mattresses, he seemed "okay" and showed me the ones the store had for my price range. When I picked out the one I wanted, he asked me sit down at his desk so that we could work on the paperwork. As soon as he sat down, he started texting and I knew it wasn't work related because I was able to see what they were chatting about. So while he was happily texting, he was also "filling out" my paperwork. Soon, when he requested my method of payment, he asked for my credit card, so we swiped it, and while he was swiping my card with one hand, and on the other one he was scrolling down an article. Without even extending his arm out or even looking up, he "gave" me my card back. After everything was done, he didn't tell me where to pick it up until I asked him. He didn't say a word and he kept scrolling down through his marvelous article. He soon printed out the receipt and didn't say a word, once again, he didn't even extend his arm or shook my hand, he basically had a paper on his hand for me to grab... Pompous prick. I stood there not knowing if anything else was needed, and when I asked he said: "No, you're done". This is my first review, and the reason why I'm writing it, is because they truly deserve this review. I wish this person changes his personality, or gets fired. I will post my review on various websites and even send it to the company's site as well. I do hope someone from the store actually replies and I hope it's Paul. Save some time, I'd rather go miles away for a better customer service than this one. read more

I'm not a big fan of sales shopping because salespeople are usually too pushy for my liking but that wasn't the case here. I went in knowing what I wanted but actually got the next best thing because they were able to work within my budget. They set up a delivery a few days later which was great, however the snow storm seemed to have an impact and I did not receive it in the timeframe they stated. Never again. Spent over $2000 getting a good mattress, sold a dud that's collapsed. having spins bifida I needed a firm mattress, mentioned it to the sales person as it is very important to me. Just over a year later mattress has had its day. It's like sleeping on the side of a hill the dips where we sleep are so bad. And here I am at 4 am again unable to sleep because we were sold a dud.
