Every year my sister would utterly destroy the pot she used to make the ham. We all knew she wasn't following the recipe properly, but that ham was so darned good we were willing to sacrifice the pot. The thrift boutique doesn't offer a lot of kitchen stuff. We made a quick lap of the store and left within 2 minutes. Its a small shop and could possibly have something you'd like... Unfortunately the front entrance is a huge hassle. Two doors - making it impossible for someone to hold them both open simultaneously for a wheelchair user to enter. There's no way to get through the second door without running over the door holder and being slammed with the first. I suggest removing the second door for easier access. Happy hunting.

I've been beefing up both my work and normal wardrobe on the cheap here, since the clothing selection is not exclusively 1990s shoulder pad blazers and crepe skirts (although there is that, too, if you need a hot purple [and i mean the color 'hot purple'] dress with puffy sleeves for something). As with any thrift store, you have to sift, but if you've got a reasonably good eye and aren't averse to trying things on over your clothes in the dressing area, you'll probably find something you like. You can also find a large selection of used books, videos, small appliances, dish sets, shoes, quilts, cheesy framed holographic unicorn prints, etc. Don't expect Williams-Sonoma up in here, but if you're not picky, the stuff they've got is great. They have the usual "certain price tag colors = 1/2 off" thing going on all the time, and on Saturdays, everything else is 1/3 off as well. Pretty sweet!

I brought in a brand-new pair of Badgley Mischka shoes (retail value $139) that I received as a gift but couldn't wear because they were too small. They offered me $9, which I declined--no big deal. I planned to sell them elsewhere. The issue happened when an employee placed a pricing sticker directly on the shoe. When she removed it, it ripped part of the finish and left behind paper and adhesive residue. I pointed it out immediately, but I was told it was "just paper" and that it would come off. When I got home, I realized the residue wasn't coming off, and the sticker had actually damaged the shoe. I returned to the store to explain what happened. The owner looked at them and told me it was "no big deal" because the damage was barely noticeable. She offered me $40 for the shoes instead of taking responsibility for the damage her employee caused. These shoes were brand new, still in the box, and were only damaged because of how they were handled in the store. What disappointed me most wasn't just the damage--it was the complete lack of accountability. There was no apology, no acknowledgment that they had caused the problem, and no real effort to make it right. When I asked if they could offer $50 instead, I was told they would lose money. At that point, it was clear the focus was on protecting their profit rather than taking care of a loyal customer. I'm still shocked by how this situation was handled. A simple apology and an effort to make things right would have gone a long way.

This dude was so instantly nasty to me, dismissive, condescending, just awful. I literally don't even know what I did wrong but try and buy a stack of books and try to get a discount cos I was buying a whole stack! Never ever before met a rude person here in the twenty years I've been coming (since before ravens stadium was built and they were across the street). I've bought thousands of dollars worth of appliances here (2 $500 stoves, a $1000 fridge, two dishwashers, and two washers and dryers), not to mention hundreds upon hundreds worth of lumber, trim, windows, doors, miscellaneous hardware, etc. I bought 400 dollars worth of upholstery cloth one time alone. I come in, I don't mess around, I know what I need and I am a friendly nice customer. (Because they use your phone number when you buy, also? they should be able to SEE this). I was buying BOOKS. Books are not their main business (and to be honest their prices are so out of scale it's crazy compared to thrifts--10 dollars each for a used hard over cover book from the 80s? I think there was one vintage item or two--I collect golden book kids encyclopedias) In the past they've basically tried to GIVE me books I wanted to buy! I wasn't buying anything from the "special glass cases. I asked Josh what they could do for me on these 20 books that I promise no one wants. (I promise). I picked up so many cos I have always been given a little break on stuff here! It's literally the way I thought they do business!!!! Nope. Not a single red cent. Off ANY book EXCEPT one they wanted 20 dollars for that didn't cost 20 new! (No it was not old or vintage!) I had 100 bucks of books in my cart he couldn't do 80? He wouldn't even discuss it and when I was frankly totally taken aback by this since it's so counter to EVERY EXPERIENCE IVE HAD THERE FOR OVER 20 YEARS--he threatened to call security on me!? For trying to bargain?????? These were all crap books. I want them for myself and to show my husband AND I make art from them. I'd have paid literally 10 for every set of four of these books at thrift. They wanted 10 and 15 dollars EACH. It wasn't just he wouldn't deal at all on price. He treated me like a criminal for no reason at all. He had his hand on his walkie talkie and when I kind of laughed just thinking he was driving a bargain he said he was going to call security on me!!!! He did this because I had the temerity to say "come on, not any discount at all? I'm buying in bulk!" And I mentioned I've never had them not come down on price on anything ever! I am a short, friendly 53 year old mom. fyi. What the living heck is going on with this place? It was SUCH an unpleasant and weird experience. I feel horrible. You can donate clothing, toys, books, household items, etc. The store sells all these items and donates the money. There are volunteers there that staff the house. If you have time you can rummage through the clothing and find some bargains. It is a hit or miss kinda of store but it is for a good cause. if you don't mind your child in used clothing you are sure to find something. Since kids are made to get dirty and messy it was always nice to have some clothes you don't really care what happens to them. Tide and spray and wash can't get everything out! Of course you can always pick up some gently used books to read them a bedtime story!
