Even though it's far and few between when a mattress purchase is necessary, one still should go where the service is outstanding and the sales crew is friendly and knowledgeable. All of this was found at Mattress Firm Folsom. The hubster and I couldn't understand why there were two within walking distance, so we chose the one with the higher reviews. We were not disappointed. After trying almost all of the TemperPedics, our decision was made. Additionally we bought the adjustable frame and the allergen mattress cover. A sale was occurring as well and that was the clincher for our purchase. Removal of our old mattress and setting up the new made the price even better. When I walked into this shop, it was my third mattress shop I visited over the Labor Day weekend. Melissa was the sales associate that helped us. She was great. She was knowledgeable. And most importantly she listened to our needs and concerns to help us find an adjustable mattress base that suited our needs and within our budget. She did not oversell other products or allude to the sales price not being guaranteed past the close of the business day that day as many of the other local competing mattress stores told us. She even gave us a printed itemized estimate with the date that the sale ends. They price match as well. The other mattress shops only provided verbal estimates and low and behold, the estimates changed the next day. We went back to the shop, in a couple of days, to purchase the base. They had the lowest price including the delivery fee. Even the delivery drivers were top notch. Their drivers actually drove a Mattress Firm branded truck and they wore matching uniforms. This gave them a professional look. But the customer service they provided, was proof of their professionalism. They provided terrific customer service. William and Carlos took extreme care with the base. They carefully moved the boxes out of the truck, then took the items out of them to carry into the house to assemble. They were cautious not to bang up against the walls. William adjusted the base level to our liking and showed us how to operate the system. He answered our questions and made sure we were satisfied prior to leaving. He was very quick and accurate with his assembly. He provided us the paperwork and manuals to the base and took all the packaging with him before leaving. The delivery service fee included a mattress haul away also. read more

My experience with Mattress Firm was excellent from the beginning to the end. Dave was knowledgeable, polite, and courteous in choosing the mattress. He asked about the way I slept, such as on my back or side. I said mostly on my back and that I was having back problems with our current mattress. Dave mentioned that if I sleep on my side the firm mattress I wanted would not be comfortable. I purchased the Silver Chill firm mattress anyway. After a month, I realized that I do sleep on my side more than I thought I did. Today I was in the showroom to exchange my firm mattress for the softer (plush) model. There were no issues at all! Convinced by salesperson to buy the $16,000 split, top of the line Temperpedic because "you can return it if you don't like it" What they meant to say is your stuck with the frame and have to pay 10% to 20% to return the mattress. The whole system isn't worth $6000. read more

We previously shopped at Sleep Train which was purchased by Mattress Firm, when we walked in we didn't know what to expect but Dale Crawford was right there to help us out. He was able to find our previous purchase, which we loved and show us compatible mattresses. He then arranged to have our new mattress delivered out of state to our new home. We couldn't have been happier with the service including price, delivery and set up. Really I'm just embarrassed it took me this long to post this review. I purchased my bed on September 1st and scheduled the delivery for Saturday, September 5th. I made sure to ask if a headboard could be attached to the adjustable base, the store manager Suzanne assured me that was the case. I need a headboard for the layout of my room, my bed cannot go up against the wall because the wall has windows on it. The delivery drivers were very professional, wore masks the entire time, and set up the adjustable base and mattress no problem. When they were leaving, they handed me a box with headboard brackets to install on the base. If those brackets fit, and that was the end of it I would have been happy. The brackets did not fit, which I understood, mix-ups can happen. I called the store, Suzanne informed me that there were no headboard brackets in stock for the brand of base that was delivered to me and that I would "just have to wait." To spare you, the reader, every detail of this entire ordeal I will just tell you that I got five different boxes of brackets to try over the course of four weeks...none of them fit. I even bought a universal set on Amazon; those also did not fit. Finally, Suzanne informed me that her boss approved a delivery of a different brand of base and that the delivery folks would set it all up...headboard brackets and all. I canceled an appointment with an esthetician so that I could finally have the issue resolved. It was insanely hard to get that appointment because of the recent COVID restrictions. The delivery drivers brought the same base and all three of the same brackets I tried. What frustrated me the most about this entire process was that I would call and leave voicemails for Suzanne that would go unreturned for days at a time. When I would finally get ahold of the store, they would act like I was a bother and just repeat the same "I'm waiting for an email back" line. There was no sense of urgency to solve the problem. Spurred by their lack of action, I called the warehouse to see what I could do to try and find a solution. The customer should not have to make several calls to find a solution to the problem. That is the company's job. It is also incredibly frustrating that you cannot get help from another store. As of this writing, I am giving up. It is clear to me that Mattress Firm is not capable of fulfilling this order as its sales associate communicated it could be. If you are in the market for a mattress, please consider going somewhere else. Mattress Firm is not capable of providing a good customer experience. I lost several hours trying to find a solution and install the wrong items they provided. Now, for a brief note on the price match policy: After the delivery, I found the same mattress from J. C. Penney for $500 less, so I initiated a price match. I called the store and spoke with another associate Carlos who told me that I got a good deal, and that they were not sure if they could do it because I got a free base. Mind you, the website said at the time of my purchase that you get a free base with a purchase of over $1000. The mattress, as price matched was still over that amount. There was no fine print anywhere on the receipt or the website starting that it could not be done because a customer received a free base on the promotion. For them to honor that price, I had to initiate a chat on the Mattress Firm main site to ask if they would honor that price and still give me the free base. When they said they would, I informed Carlos and they honored that price. This was less of an annoyance than the lack of follow-through and customer service, but I still feel it's worth mentioning. If I had to do it again, I would bring a printout of the mattress I found at a cheaper price and have them price match initially. That way their sale is contingent upon them honoring the policy. read more

They owe me $1500 for a faulty mattress and have no intention of honoring the agreement I encourage anyone not to waste your time with this company. I bought this from the state fair and the brick and mortar store in Folsom is no better. The sales person's name is Rusty Hammond and he is apparently well known throughout the local brick and mortar stores and everybody just laughs when you try to get a hold of Rusty and his voicemail is Full and nobody knows who the supervisor is it's a scam. read more

He was friendly, very knowledgeable and patient. This Mattress firm has lots to choose from. We quickly decided to look at the Beauty Rest Black, since we already own one that we bought several years back and is now in a guest bedroom. With so many choices, options and upgrades- Dave patiently explained them all to us. He was not pushy and let us take our time laying on the mattresses and trying to make our decision. We settled on two Beautyrest Black Hybrid Mattresses with adjustable bases for both beds. While checking out the rest of the staff was equally as friendly as Dave, chatting with us and sharing some laughs. I have been promised a call with a 2 hour window - not holding my breath. Will update this again with the results of the third scheduled delivery day- if it actually happens. So far not holding up to customer satisfaction promise listed on the receipt email. Buyers beware. I tried to purchase 2 mattresses in the folsom store but the sales people were so unhelpful, directing me to call back the next day when someone could help me buy them? So I ended up purchasing from mattress firm online. The 1st mattress delivery was horrible. No window of time given so I ended up stuck at home all day until they finally showed up at 7pm. Hey, at least they showed finally. The second mattress was to be delivered to my mother in laws house in a different Bay Area city. Mattress firm got the city wrong during the first scheduled delivery attempt so no mattress. Mattress firm promised to delivery the following week, the sales person promising to personally call to give my mother in law a time window. This was scheduled for today. Nothing. No calls, no delivery, no mattress I'd paid for weeks ago. I've since called, emailed and followed up with mattress firm directly. As I'm writing this review, mattress firm has my money in full but I still don't have a mattress or follow up on when or if it will ever be delivered. I can not believe the insensitivity Mattress Firm has. I ordered a Fourth of July sale mattress and looked forward to receiving a firm, new mattress for my husband who is confined to bed through his medical disability. when my son asked the two delivery people to wear masks and even gave them masks, because there were seniors with immune compromised health conditions, one delivery person was happy to comply, the other scrouched up his face and made a spiffing sound and refused to do that. The mattress arrived in terrible condition, the delivery people confessed that it was "broken", and my son refused to accept it. In the meantime we had the old mattress carried away by a neighbor as a courtesy to us and our circumstances. No mattress meant a very critical disability for a medically bedridden senior. I called four different people about the situation. They were not only rude, they were impatient and inconsiderate. The manager of the Folsom store told us we should drive to Natomas to pick up another mattress, or just get a motel for a few days until another mattress was ready, meaning he would be away from his medical equipment, medicine and help......and who was going to pay for their mistake? Curt, insensitive, inferior product all add up to never wanting to shop or to recommend their mattress store ever. I am saddened! I always shop local and try and boost the economy and keep the money here where I live, but this goes too far and even farther in being disappointed. Just purchased a new bed from Sleep Train today, and couldn't be happier with our experience. James was extremely helpful, he listened to our needs and helped guide us to a bed that was extremely comfortable and well within our price range. Came in to look for a specific mattress. I ended up trying several and learning a lot from James who is really incredibly helpful and nice. Didn't purchase a mattress this time, but did buy a pillow. Unfortunately the store doesn't keep the pillows in stock (get on that please) so James told me it would take a few days for it to come in since I wanted to pick it up instead of delivering to my home. Excellent service! Joe was very helpful and did not rush my decision. He showed me many mattresses and let me decide based on the perimeters I gave him which were I wanted the best quality I could get. I bought a Tempurpedic which many people say are over priced. Well after sleeping on this mattress for a period of time I can say it is the best mattress I have ever owned. I have slept on other foam mattresses and have felt like I would fall off when sleeping near the edge, not so with Tempurpedic. To top it off, they price matched! I Found the same mattress online for $700 cheaper, they matched it! Awesome store! Just bought another Tempurpedic "Breeze" elite King. Yes I know, that's two in about six months, but I wanted a king a gave the queen to my son. Love the mattress, the cooling features are fantastic. What a rip off this company is.... sold us a mattress that is too firm under the assumption that our mattress will soften up quickly once we sleep on it! When it wasn't working we same in they told us that it was too late to switch mattresses!!! We went for the free financing which has cost us so far $130 in fees so far this year! These guys were great. Needed 2 new sets of low profile box springs - one cal king and one queen. We did it all by phone. The person that we talked to on the phone was professional and knowledgeable (oh - and she was friendly). Called on a Sunday and had delivery on Monday. They have an excellent tracking service so you can track your delivery on line - no sitting around waiting for half a day. The two guys that delivered were careful and thorough - they replaced the bedskirts and made sure everything was good to go. Definitely recommend. read more

Been a loyal Sleep Train customer from the start when Dale Carlson first started his first store. Dale's value proposition was always that buyers would get same or next day delivery with a smile. Over the years our family has enjoyed that value proposition with over 15 mattress orders. Monday 7/23/2018 was the first day I ordered a mattress from the new combined company of Mattress Firm. I needed next day delivery per all of the ads that run on the radio. While the salesperson was very professional and polite I could tell that he was frustrated that he could not get a delivery scheduled until 3 days later and I would get a call the night before. I never heard from the delivery department and had to call them after 9:pm. All of the excuses from Mattress Firm employees is that they were taking inventory which is absurd. Let me start off by saying I had a decent experience in the store in my home town. We donate pjs and Christmas gifts almost every year. I figured I'd buy my new mattress from them since they help the local foster children and I felt a part of it. I was pretty low on cash being a single mother but we needed a good mattress ASAP. My daughter and I tried out a few and ended up going with a floor model to save some money. My purchase was on the first on this month (January 1st) and we set up delivery for TODAY (January 8th) of my mattress, box spring and frame. I received a call from the salesman and he informed me that there was a bit of a problem and that my frame and box spring would be delivered between 2:15 and 4:15 and the mattress wouldn't be here til between 6-9pm. I told him no problem, long as I have my bed tonight. Well 4:30 rolls around and I still have no frame or box spring and haven't heard from anyone. I call the store and my salesman said he would call me back after he found out what was going on. I get the call back and he said that "the guys they use don't really know what they're doing" and that I would only be getting a mattress and frame tonight by 9. NO BOXSPRING. Won't be getting the boxspring tomorrow (hopefully) I was obviously upset after the promise of delivering my bed as a whole TODAY. He said, "you can go ahead and cancel your order if you want, but there's nothing i could do for you since i basically "gave" you the mattress." Sleep Train sold us a Sealy Posturepedic AP 704 plush queen mattress set in May 2013. It was very comfortable in the store and cost about $1,000. The salesman, Mr. Grant Faulk, told us to turn the mattress often. But later, we learned that it has only one side to sleep on, and cannot be turned over. After one year, we found that the mattress was becoming less firm in the center, but the sides remained very firm. The manufacturer touts the firm sides as a benefit for sitting on the edge of the bed. With two people on the mattress, it is now depressed so much that the edges are uphill and one tends to roll toward the center, which now feels like a trough. This affects the positions one can and cannot sleep in and therefore is now a big comfort issue. Can anyone sleep on a hillside? But this didn't show up during the Sleep Train's 100-day comfort satisfaction guarantee. And Sleep Train's customer service said that the manufacturer's warranty test is determined by measuring the sagging of the mattress when no one is on it. Our mattress, with no one on it, already sags 1 1/4". But I'm told that's not enough to trigger the manufacturer's warranty, and it doesn't matter how much it sags when you're actually using it. So, after spending a thousand bucks at Sleep Train for a mattress that has failed in a year, it's just tough luck for us. That was not expected of Sleep Train and is no way to take care of a customer. How could we ever go back? 506750372 read more
