4/22/2026: Gleefully purchased glass spice bottles, a liquid food decanter, and stainless steel scrubbers. Reasons? Throwing away organic spices' containers purchased in manufacturers' packaging in PFAS BPA plastic wrappers, quasi-BPA free (are the containers truly BPA-free, eh?) containers, and disposing Scotch cellulose, chemical-laden sponges. Aside, I knew Home Goods would have air-tight, glass spice containers within their inventory; however, I couldn't find anymore glass spice containers. Still, I would have purchased more glass spice containers providing Home Goods would alert their Buyers purchasing as their high inventory turnover rather than low stock turn rate. read more

I rarely shop at Home Goods. Not because they don't have inventory or of the pricing. Totally opposite of that. The inventory is awesome, the prices are a bargain. The store is clean and organized. Merchandise is in excellent new condition. The staff is great. I can never go into the shop and walk out without buying or wanting to buy something. On my last visit, I was on a mission to buy a gift for someone that was not me. Mission accomplished for that. But gosh darn, I failed to walk out with just that. I bought other unattended items. Useful, needed items. The cashiering team was awesome. The cashier I was working with was a trainee. I asked for gift receipts, she worked with another to issue those. She wrapped up the fragile items and bagged them with care. I luv to shop here for kitchen, home decor, and organizational items. Prices are discounted from full retail. The merchandise is on trend. Current Shout Out items: ramen bowl and chopstick kit (Hello Kitty and Sanrio gang, Star Wars, and Night Before Christmas)$8.99. Peanuts (Snoopy and the gang) mugs $6, tumblers $8, and throw blankets $13. Halloween and Autumn decor. On 1/17/2025 at approximately 4:45 pm. in Folsom. I came to the store to find a new sleeping pillow. I left my wife in another aisle and came across the location of the pillows which was occupied by HG employee Yvonne Rupert stacking the shelves. She graciously engaged with me on my quest. She suggested a number of options and went out of her way to point out the various types of pillows HG had at the time. I settled on a product that I feel will benefit me. Is there really any other home and "everything else" decor store as wonderful as Home Goods! I think we all know the answer to that! Well by now you would have to be living under a rock not to know about the many attributes of shopping at Home Goods! I have never been in a store offering so much stuff! While it can be overwhelming you just have to enter with a sense of adventure. And plenty of time! I like to think of Home Goods shopping as organized chaos! It is astounding the items I have found which I forgot I even needed:)! With the holiday shopping already in full swing this already popular store will be BUSY!!! Regarding the inventory...in addition to lots of it and running the gamut from seasonal items, bed and bath, kitchen, pillows of every kind and color, pictures, artificial plants/trees and food items, it always seems refreshed and well stocked every time I visit! There is just too much to wrap your head around so if you have never been a trip is a must! And you can find top quality merchandise. Unique pieces too. Clean, big and bright surroundings. My last visit I found wine/champagne carriers I had searched for at every other department store to no avail. And not only did I find them here...they are so cute (photo included). I stumbled upon the most interesting looking bowl which I just had to have (photo of that too.). It currently sits proudly on my granite counter looking so chic! Yes, you want elegantly and stylishly fashionable...you can find it all here. And at such reasonable and fair prices. That right there is what brings in the crowds! Speaking of masses of shoppers...you might imagine grumpy, tired employees. You would be very wrong. Truly some of the best customer service and most helpful people I have had the pleasure with whom to interact. One of those special employees happens to be the store manager, Blanca! Wow! Talk about down to earth, organized, running a smooth operation and super nice on top of it! I don't shop at Home Goods very often, mostly because there is not one close to where I live. And maybe that is a good thing, for my pocketbook, at least. Unfortunately, for this visit, my husband was with me because we were looking for a specific item. So into the store we we went, and I'm all...like..oooh, look at this, look at that...while my husband is focused on ONLY what we came to buy. From what I got to see during the quick rush through the store, there seemed to be a good variety of merchandise at decent prices. We found two possibilities for the item we were after, so we bought them both. Check out was quick and easy. Friendly service, too. We had some fun at this HomeGoods location- this is our go-to store to find great deals on dog toys and we found a bunch on our visit here. Our dog specifically likes the soft toys that have balls inside so that we can throw them around the house for him. We found some great new options and even some snake ones that have tails for us to hold onto and a ball inside the head. We walked around the rest of the store and it was bright, well organized and we noticed a good amount of clearance deals while we were here too. They have a lot of indoor and outdoor decorative pillows as well as furniture and accessories. While we don't get out to this area often, we'll definitely keep it in mind whenever we're in the area. read more

I love Home Goods. The Folsom location is relatively medium sized-- not the biggest store around, but, they have a pretty decent selection. I've been here so many times that I could literally describe the floor layout by memory. Basically, they carry all kinds of home decor, including lamps, pillows, candles, paintings, kitchen necessities, pet supplies, linens, and more. I've purchased many items here over the years, including some of my living room pillows, Masterclass pots, tons of candles, canvas posters, and a little jade tree. On occasion, I've also purchased vitamins and Italian chocolates here. Over the past couple of years, Home Goods has started carrying a decor line called Jaipur in Bloom: A World Traveler Collection, which features all kinds of miscellaneous decorations from India. My sister recently discovered this collection, and now she keeps texting me pictures of all of her cute new purchases. Every time I've been in to this store, I've had good customer service. I always find good deals, and never have to wait in line for too long. I love this store, and will definitely keep shopping here in the future. read more

First experience here and I was impressed with selection and then extremely offended by the service. It was so crowded with items stacked on top of each other that it made it difficult to shop to unstack it all. As for the service, this is the second time I've experienced this exact situation (first time was in Fremont). I'm a TJX credit card holder and it seems to be a trend that the person in front of me gets offered the credit card and then I get excited to be able to say I have it, only for the cashier to not offer it to me. I feel as though I'm being profiled because I look younger and have tattoos. That's simply unacceptable and I know that's what is happening bc you JUST OFFERED THE PERSON IN FRONT OF ME!!! I wish I had the cashiers name but I'm so offended this happened twice that I will be calling corporate bc they need better training. As someone who is a retail store manager, I always train my team you offer every perk to EVERY customer and not make an assumption on their behalf of if they're interested. If this happens to me again I'm going to ask the employee flat out why I was not offered and make them realize the effect it has on a customer bc that left me feeling really upset and hurt. read more

My mom got a framed picture and when she tried to hang it the clasps were loose and the frame fell. I went to return it and the manager Rebecca was extremely rude saying "I will allow it this one time" and when I told her that this was only broken because of the poor quality of the frame she told me "I'm doing you a favor" she was very rude and condescending and I will reach out to the district manager to complain. read more

HomeGoods is one of my favorites and I like to check out the HomeGoods in the cities for the items that may not be available or sold out in the HomeGoods close to my home. This one in Folsom is one of the better stores I like to shop at. This store is less crowded than most of the other HomeGoods in the Sacramento area. I can find some of the headers found items here. The customer service is as good as their sister stores. I love to check out the HomeGoods stores when I am looking for anything used in my home or when I have free time and wanna see what they have there. I have found a lot of new items or new ideas from their stores. The parking lot is very clean and looks safe to me. Very easy to have a parking space in front or not far from the store. This is the next reason I like to shop at this HomeGoods. I hope you'll enjoy your shopping here too! read more

I want to recognize the outstanding customer service I experienced on my recent shopping trip to Home Goods in Folsom CA. All staff were great, especially Maria, the store Manager. She was most helpful in completing my big purchase of 2 reclining chairs. She went over and above when I could not get a connection on my cell phone to access my Rewards account to retrieve my coupons. She simply offered her personal phone to me so I was able to access my account and get my discount. It was a Sunday and the store was busy but she was very patient and helped me complete my purchase. This HomeGoods location is located right next to Target and just across the parking lot is a furniture consignment shop. If you love all things home. then you should definitely be in the area! I love this HomeGoods location and get excited every time im here. they have such great finds! The employees are oh so helpful and have wonderful customer service. Shoutout to Jojo! He's awesome. Service was horrible.. I asked an employee if they had a blanket in stock that is popular on TIK Tok. The employee answered " I can't give that information out"! I said okay I understand not being able to talk about upcoming shipments. But thinking we were miss understanding each other. I love home goods! It is absolutely my go to for so many things in and around my home that I'm looking for, gifts, and just because type of things... The Folsom location is actually better than I expected and makes the drive out to the store worth the effort. I love the fact that this location is larger than most, and is also attached to a TJ Maxx store that allows the shopper to walk from one store into the other. The fact that both stores are owned by the same company makes it easy, but it also allows the consumer to purchase so much more in one quick and easy stop. I must've spent a couple of hours walking through both stores looking, shopping, and just in all of the tremendous selection that both stores offer. The customer service is great here. They do need more sales force on the floor, and they definitely need more register personnel because the line gets long and the wait is even longer. I love the fact that they constantly have new items coming in on a weekly basis, and as we roll into the different holidays they have merchandise that arrives in the store several times a week. What I truly love about home goods is the fact that it's a great place to shop for any and all holidays. Halloween has been one of the most spectacular holidays that they have stocked their respective floors for. They offer much more than any other store than I've ever seen in around the local Sacramento area. As we move into Thanksgiving and other holidays I know that they will have even more beautiful decor, table top pieces, and anything and everything you could possibly want or need for meal service. They really have everything! They offer top quality merchandise at extremely reasonable prices. They even go so far as to let you know what the original value of each item is and what they're currently marking it at. Who doesn't want a great bargain?! The stores always kept clean, fully stocked, and it feels welcoming every time I walk in. They even have this great area where they offer a variety of different snacks, teas/coffee's, and even have some amazing oils and vinegars that would make any chef go crazy and want to buy it all. Worst customer service I've ever had! Tried to return an item because it was damaged and the guy says: "why did you buy a damaged item?" They were bed sheets, folded, and in a sleeve. So obviously I couldn't see the hole pal. When I opened them up when I got home I noticed there were holes near the bottom and when I went to return them I couldn't locate the receipt. He was argumentative, defensive and refused to offer me any solutions to a problem that was of their doing. I will be escalating this to corporate. Absolutely disgusting behavior from this so called " Assistant Manager" on Saturday afternoon September 30, 2023. Definitely a store to checkout. I've found some great items a here! My favorite, a blue half shape storage ottoman for under $100. It was a bargain, and didn't fit in the basket all the way but perfectly in the car. It was waiting for me . The golden brown was cute too but I went with the blue. read more

Home goods has a sign when you enter the store saying you must wear a mask. There were 2 women in the store today completely maskless and I asked the store manager to speak with the women. She said she did ask them to put on a mask but they declined. So the sign means nothing. Too bad corporate allows store managers to let customers roam the store maskless. I work in healthcare and feel the rights of the covidiots should not be more important than the safety of everyone else. read more

Home Goods is the sister to TJ Maxx and Marshalls, but imagine the home and kitchen aisle expanded. You can find multiple items from kitchen needs, bedroom furniture, the works, and it's all for a great price! This particular location gets two stars from me because nothing is ever organized and the people treat you horribly there. No one greets you, asks you how your day is and you just showing up to the register seems like an absolutely inconvenience. I like Home Goods, just not this one. read more

Whenever I go to HomeGoods, I make a mental note that I will likely spend about 1-2 hours in here looking from aisle to aisle, department to department. This place is a great go-to place for my everyday home needs. I come here for anything from cute napkins, to decorative accents, to candles, kitchen gadgets, and more! I love their kitchen area. You can find anything from a good pot/pans to serving plates and dishes to host your next party. I love the baskets section. You can find wicker baskets, cotton/fabric baskets and so much more for your home organization at a great discounted price. I've found a ton of things for my personal vanity (cute jewelry trays, makeup organizers, storage containers and more). They have a rich assortment of departments including a stationary department (albums, notepads, notebooks, calendars, wrapping paper, etc), pet department (sleep beds for your dogs, scratching posts for your cat, etc, etc), children's department (boys and girls). You can definitely feel overwhelmed. There have been a few times when we have gone here for a specific thing (I.e. bath mat / rug, accent rug, clock, etc) but have not had much luck. It's really hit or miss. I definitely stand by the rule that if you find something you love here, purchase it now because you will not find it again when you come back. I have shopped for many years at HomeGood stores all over. My very favorite is the Folsom store. The staff and manager are absolutely fantastic! The store is very clean and so well organized. I just bought a large new home in Folsom and furnished the entire house with most of my home decor from the Folsom location. They were so helpful and patient with my large purchases and several exchanges. I highly recommend this particular store if you're in the area. I can't say enough of the great customer service this store provides. The most impressive thing is, new items are constantly put out and displayed so nicely. An okay store for home decor, needs, and other knick knacks. If you're willing to push past people in narrow aisles and rummage through poorly displayed items you can find some nice stuff here. The pricing isn't super cheap. They are sisters with TJ Maxx and whatnot so you see some of the same things. This location in particular has horrid customer service. No one greets you. I can't say enough good about this place! We always spend way too much money. Which I guess is a bad thing, but also good because I love everything I leave the store with! As soon as you walk in, it's very seasonal. I love that. It really gets people in the mood for the time of year. Also, if I'm looking for holiday decor- I know it's going to be right up front. After the holiday stuff comes the garden area- they carry everything from garden plant holders to outdoor statue decor. After that come kitchen, office, bathroom, and laundry room. The middle portion of the store carries furniture, and the right part of the store is pictures and wall decor and more furniture. This store can literally redo you're entire home no matter the size or what you have going on. I personally feel that this company holds up to the latest fashion and trends giving anyone the best possible stylish home available. Hey if you've been in one Home Goods you've been in them all. If you haven't well they are worth checking out now and again. Essentially what you have is a Bed Bath and Beyond discount store here. You can find just about everything from rugs and furniture to pots/pans and glassware. The trick to Home Goods is you need to check them over and over because you never know what you are going to find. On one trip you may find absolutely nothing, but the next you come in you will find treasures. You do have to do some digging and paying attention because the store can be a bit disorganized. I don't actually think anyone works in these stores besides the two or three cashiers in the front. I can't say that I have ever seen anyone on the sales floor, but then again what do you really need people for in home Goods? Screeching into the store's PA system about who has donated money to the latest cause -- talk about irritating. I really like their merchandise but stopped going during Christmas because of the constant screaming into the microphone about who has given money to whichever non-profit. Now, here in June 2018, they are doing it again. I have several problems with it -- 1. I think donating should be a private affair. 2. I'm trying to shop - usually with a specific problem to fix - and I can't concentrate with the all this loud forced joviality descending from the ceiling speakers every 30 seconds. 3. If HomeGoods doesn't stop this, I can't go back. It's all just so counterproductive. The solution is easy -- stop announcing every time someone donates. They can still collect money for a good cause.
