It is called Mattress Firm for a reason. All of the mattresses in here were hard and firm. I was looking for a much softer one. There is a little bit of an ongoing debate of which is preferred a firmer or softer bed. People say a firmer one is better for your back, I think they may not priortize sleep and dont want to be in bed for long. Me on the other hand, a softer bed will cause you to fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer. What good is a bed that youre laying on without falling asleep just for your back? Aye. The saleslady Shari was nice and very considerate, why this experience got any kind of a high review. I prefer working with women in every capacity. It was just me and her in the store trying each one, but unfortunately they were too hard and firm. The one thing i would like to add in general on behalf of mattress stores, they should price in or even accept your trade-in of a previous mattress like a Car Dealership does. This is a business and they handle mattresses better than we do. If i was an employee there, this would be a Board Meeting winning idea id enter in with before joining! Consumers would shop at the mattress store knowing they'd take their previous mattress as far as discounting the price. Always wise to be conciliatory to the consumer securing more sales that way too! :) read more

Very sad that I purchased a $1600 mattress here and it SUCKS. Has a huge lump in the center after only 2 weeks and we are thin people. There "was nothing the store could do about it" as it was up to the manufacturer to make good. It was a Beautyrest and now I will not buy that brand again but certainly not from Mattress Firm or stores like that. I think you are better off purchasing from a place like Macys or other reputable retailer that values your business long term. read more

Read the return policy before you buy from this company. Ordering directly from the manufacturers online store is always going to be a better option - especially for potentially not liking a mattress and wanting to actually do the return without loosing money you shouldn't have to let go of. Restocking fees are a joke. I am not happy about many aspects of this purchase I made and I will never buy from this company again. $200 to return a mattress that wasn't touched is theft in my eyes. Update after management comment to my review: The salesperson was in contact with me the day of the delivery and has all the information you requested. Your attempts to publicly seem interested in customer feedback are disingenuous. The sales person apologized for the shoddy service and disruption the delivery experience caused but it's out of his control. Again, you need to do some benchmarking and understand the best businesses care about the customer experience at every contact point. Good luck, I'm out! read more

Super service on purchase #2. Purchase #3 a few weeks later not so much. Co. messed up the shipping, additional delays, and request for call back never got a callback. Be prepared to do your own follow-up. My impression, aside from great f2f sales, was back office didn't care much for customer service. And bought there years ago and purchase #1 was impressive. Nice selection of comfy mattresses! However, the lady at front desk was not particularly kind or friendly. She didn't make good eye contact and was doing computer work while we were speaking with her. She was also not wearing a mask when we were speaking with her- made me feel uncomfortable. I would choose a different mattress company or location strictly by the service. ALSO, this store has an awful return/exchange policy. They charge you $100+ for returns even within the 100 day try out period at home. read more

This is the review Mattress Firm felt didn't meet their criteria. I feel it's important to post my entire review because they refused to publish it. First of all, the mattress is fine. I loved it the first night, but since, it's definitely a medium to firm mattress. I had hoped for better pressure relief but, having Rheumatoid Arthritis, I've long stopped looking for miracles. I'm keeping this mattress since it's much better than the previous one that wore out. The main problem was the shipping. Mattress Firm used FedEx. I received an email stating the tracking number. I signed up for text messaging for notifications of logistics, and delays, and delivery since it's supposed to be all this no contact stuff with Covid-19. FedEx texted me it was scheduled to arrive on the 15th by the end of the day, which for them, is 8pm. I made my preparations, washing mattress pads, sheets, moving the old mattress out of the room, and the biggest task was the 3" memory foam mattress topper. That thing is like moving a queen sized giant amoeba! This was a long difficult day for me. Well, the mattress didn't arrive. FedEx was no help. I ended up having to call them 12 times between 8:01pm and again the next day to find out where my mattress was. Horrible, horrible service. Those people on the phone are rude, obnoxious, unprofessional, and the most useless pimples on the keister of society. Maybe FedEx SHOULD outsource their Customer Service overseas. This is the third time in as many years that FedEx has failed to deliver on time. As far as Mattress Firm, I couldn't reach them either. That ended up being a phone tree that kept circling back around to the same place I started. I had to check into a hotel since I now had nowhere to sleep. I knew I wouldn't be able to sleep on my couch and definitely not on the floor. FedEx ultimately insisted they weren't wrong; each person I spoke to giving me a different story. The final result? An ok mattress, especially for the price thanks to the Labor Day sale, but horrible customer service, and if I every order something online that I find out after the fact that FedEx is being used for shipping, I will cancel the order and find the item somewhere else so as to NOT give FedEx business anymore. read more

My mattress is great. However, I ordered a bundle which includes 2 pillows, sheet set and mattress protector. I received this in January minus the sheets. I called and spoke to a woman who said she would get back to me. Never did. I then called again and spoke to another woman and she said she would call me back. When she did, she was kind of rude and said the other woman was looking into it. I did not understand why it would take three weeks. It is now the end of March so I send into the store and spoke to Cory who informed me that not one of his employees brought this to his attention. He gave me his email address and said I need to send a pic of what I did receive on March 19th. It is now March 27th and still have had no communication as to where my sheets are. I will never order from this store again. read more

Dr. Shari went above and beyond to help us find a mattress that fits our needs. She was approachable, friendly and her chiropractic experience assisted us greatly in selecting the proper mattress. She helped find us a mattress within our price range, that we are happy with and made sure everything we were looking for in an adjustable base was there. She was available for follow up questions and gave us a donation site to drop off the previous mattress. Just bought a Sealy Posturpedic Optimum.. have slept on it for a week and LOVE it!
