If you want to do business with a store and salesperson that does not follow through on its…read morepromises then The Brick in Canmore is the store for you! Very unprofessional customer service, they do not have the courtesy to contact the customer to advise that the delivery date provided will not be met. So a person waits at home for a delivery that does not happen. And when it finally does occur at a later reschedule date the delivery is not completed and promised. I would not recommend you deal with The Brick in Canmore if you want professional service. I would recommend Home Hardware in Canmore for appliances, they provide professional and helpful service and follow through on their commitments.

NO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, BUY THE WARRANTY!!!…read more I purchased a washer/dryer set from The Brick 2 years ago; at the time I was told they didn't do installations (this was a lie, management got involved and the installation was finally resolved, I wrote a review back then, as well, over how awful the sale process was). The same sales guy sold me the King and State Warranty; it was pitched as a no worries, replacement if they can't fix it, get it for the security of this big purchase, type of warranty. So we bought the warranty. The Brick website calls it their 'Famous Warranty' ... Infamous is perhaps a better word. Now, 2 years later, our dryer stopped working - I submitted a claim to King and State...and here is where the fun begins again. King and State doesn't return any phone calls, doesn't return any emails The service technician broke one of my floor tiles, looked at my dryer for 2 seconds and said it would 3 to 4 weeks to fix (I never heard from him again) After about a month of waiting and hearing nothing, I finally got a King and State representative on the phone and explained what had happened, they asked me to send a picture of my broken tile and said they would get this resolved quickly 2 weeks later - after not hearing anything - I followed up with more calls I was told they couldn't repair the unit and was offered a 'Pro-rated' replacement value of my dryer - Amount Offered $804, amount of comparable dryer today $1299 I refused this offer and was told I would receive a call within 24 hours to discuss more (that was 2 weeks ago) I have called the store and King and State and simply been told, you are completely out of luck. The Brick store say I have to deal with King and State, while King and State says the store won't authorize any other resolution. Now after multiple phone calls, emails, and an immense amount of frustration - I have a broken floor tile, and a broken dryer...and very few options. King and State is listed as a company in the Caribbean and The Brick doesn't even have a phone number on their website. I'm completely at a loss - NEVER SHOP AT THE BRICK, NEVER BUY A KING AND STATE WARRANTY!!!!!

Just bought my first couch from here today to go in my first house!…read more Furniture shopping, especially couch shopping is expensive and exhausting. I shopped at so many places before going here: LayZboy, Leon's, the brick, show home furniture, etc. etc. etc. I knew that shopping local was important to me as well as supporting the Canadian economy. I landed on Rossini's furniture store and found they had amazing deals but are going out of business but their sister or brother store is Furniture Extreme and on Monday all their pieces are being moved to Furniture Extreme so I decided to check this place out. They were very helpful and one nice thing is that they can order you a piece in but you have to pay 50% down and if it arrives at the store and you don't like it then you get your money back in full refund or store credit that can only be spent at the store. When we bought the couch they asked us how we found out or heard about them and we told them through friends and then they asked us the friends name and found them on their computer so because we had a referral we got $25 off which is pennies when your spending $5000 and the friends that referred us got $250 to be spent in the store. Overall, great experience and very friendly staff.

I ordered a brand new couch that was discontinued but I was told they could still order it new, my…read moremother ordered the exact same one and it took 8 weeks to be delivered. Mine was apparently ready immediately which was weird. When it arrived there were very obviously used felt pads with someone else's dirt on them and I was told by the delivery guys that this piece wasn't factory sealed it was shrink wrapped and sold to me as a new couch when it was used. Additionally it was all wonky and the arm rest made a clicking sound and the cushions didn't line up. I raised these concerns immediately with the delivery guys and was told to keep it as a loaner and talk to the store to find a solution. There are a lot of features I like about the couch that I couldn't find in another one so after numerous discussions with the owner Andy I agreed for them to repair it and if I was happy with it then they would give me a 10% discount as it is still obviously a used and damaged piece. Also in conversation here I learned that their supposed worry free warranty that I purchased doesn't cover any structural components it's just for stains. Again misleading and not what I was sold on. I have since decided that I don't want their warranty as it wasn't what I was told it was and this entire process of them fixing it has been less than desirable as I had to follow up multiple times to get anything done. It has now been 4 weeks since the final repair. I have spoke to at least 5 different people at this store about the refund on multiple occasions and had to explain this story 15 times yet I STILL have not received the refund I was promised. How many people do I have to speak to for this to be resolved when they have all called and told me that they will get it dealt with and follow up. Not one of them has followed up. I am a business owner myself and it is VERY simple to process a refund. There are no excuses at this point and I suppose I will have to file a dispute with my credit card company since they are clearly incapable of resolving an issue as they promised.

Avoid! Literally go anywhere else. Ashley furniture is corrupt and a scam…read more The incompetent staff member, Gemma from the NE location "measured" a clearance ottoman and said it would fit perfect. Gemma, the hollow-minded employee helped me and my partner build a modular sectional. She had our measurements and said this oversized ottoman will fit perfectly and said when it's pushed up against the couch it will be a giant bed. She pushed us to buy it and said it will fit, it will be perfect. When we looked at other options, she kept pushing the clearance ottoman. That should have been a red flag that she is conning us. Looking at the photos, does that giant ottoman fit and is flush like a giant bed? Absolutely not. We had it delivered on Nov.1 and I called immediately and told the delivery team to take it away and they refused and said to call the store. I have called nearly every day to try and solve this, and they refuse to return it, refuse to call me back, and refuse to credit me to find an ottoman that is small and will fit. I also made the grave mistake of ordered a sofa and love seat. The love seat came damaged. See the photos. They will not be providing me with a new couch but instead proceed with janky patchwork. I called November 1 right when the damaged furniture was unpacked by their delivery team. I followed the steps via text to address the damaged couch and they kept insisting I provide a serial number. Well, this couch doesn't have a serial number. After going back and forth explaining there is no serial number on the couch nor its cushions, I asked them if they want me to make up a serial number. After that, they ordered the patch (10 days since I submitted the claim) and insist it will be delivered. Once it's delivered I will have to be home from work to be here for when they "fix" the couch. So not only do I have a $300 ottoman that doesn't fit because Gemma doesn't know how to use a measuring tape or know how to do her job competently, I will have to be home from work for the semestres to patch up the damage that the delivery crew made. They did assure me that my brand new furniture, after the patchwork, will look like showroom condition. This comment restored my faith, knowing that my new furniture will look like the garbage in their showrooms that have thousands of asses distorting the cushions. Whatever you do, DO NOT BUY FURNITURE HERE!!! They are scamming honest customers. I should have listened to the reviews, friends and family that warned to avoid any purchases.
