My wife and I headed out last night (9/2/16) to checkout what American Mattress had to offer. We were welcomed by Bill, a salesman who has been with the company for ten years. We had our two young daughters with us and he made sure they were perfectly situated in some bean bag chairs and found a Netflix program to keep them occupied while Mommy and Daddy tested out the mattresses. Bill made us feel very comfortable and was nonintimidating...he kind of just let us check everything out and was there to answer our questions as they came up. We really liked the selection...they had every big name brand represented, from Simmons to Serta to Tempur-Pedic to Sealy, etc. Although it wasnt our plan to buy on that visit, we found what we were looking for in a Serta and decided to take advantage of the killer Labor Day deals! Now, we just can't wait until the mattress is delivered next week! I highly recommend this store and will definitely be a returning customer.

I feel like he took advantage of us because we are old. We got another mattress, which is also too hard for us. Went to mattress firm in Crystal lake and talked to Tim. He was very nice and wanted to fix the problem for us. Unfortunately we would have had to spend more money and just couldn't do it. Let me say, I was presently surprised by the very "human" approach at this location. I felt respected, even though my purchase was not going to be a big commission payment for the sales rep. Yesterday was a super cold day and everything was icy and unpleasant, but our rep, Donald, helped get our mattress strapped down and kept a cheery, welcoming disposition the entire time. The prices are clearly indicated on each mattress; whether mattress alone, with box spring (which by the way was free right now with the purchase of a mattress, and pricing for an adjustable. Another plus; delivery is free and also includes free removal of the old mattress and box spring set. When you order, you can do so on their kiosk which is very user friendly or you can call an associate who will take care of the ordering for you. Delivery is as soon as a day turn around, or you can schedule a later date. They will notify you the night before as to the 3 hour window time for delivery ( you cannot choose time frame, so be aware of that.) Ours was from 1-4pm, our delivery came at 1:10 which was great and the set up and removal was quick and professional. Lou stated, "They had a sale starting tomorrow (Saturday) and that he could sell it to me for $651.00." Great! Lou said he could have it delivered next Tuesday. I explained my mother's situation and asked if it could be delivered tomorrow, on Saturday. Lou said, "I'll make it happen." Now that is exceptional customer service! Josh Hoffman was the technician who delivered and set up my mother's new Samsung TV. Josh programmed the Xfinity remote to the new TV, and my mother accidentally hit something that made the TV verbally announce everything she did. Josh asked if she wanted that, and my mother said no. Josh was quick-witted and a comedian; he had my mother laughing. You certainly can tell when an employee loves their job!
