The finish lasted two years and then completely peeled off. Realizing the warranty had expired, we spoke with Mr. Major who tried to obtain a new chair on our behalf. The mfg refused to do anything but Major offered us a new (different) chair at a nicely reduced price and also gave us a break on the price of delivery and haul-away. Under the intense advisement of the salesperson, we also bought the $570 4 year extended warranty..... with them proclaiming it will cover absolutely everything. After an electrical storm, both sofas stopped working. After trying to put in a claim for the extended warranty, we were told electrical storms are not covered. They are not willing to reimburse for the warranty that they sold with false promises. We have bought thousands of dollars worth of furniture through Ashley, but never again. Go anywhere but Ashley and do not believe what they say about the extended warranty.
