We specifically chose what was marketed as the highest tier of furniture quality available--the most expensive and supposedly most durable option Ashley sells. We were excited to invest in something we believed would be long-lasting and high quality. But within just 2-3 months of normal use, we noticed that the wood veneer on the bed frame had started chipping and peeling--without any damage or misuse on our part. It was immediately clear that this was a manufacturer defect. Even more shocking was discovering that what we thought would be solid wood construction was actually a very thin veneer over a lower-grade material. For the premium price point and Ashley's claims of quality, we expected much more. This only reinforced how far Ashley's product standards seem to have fallen. We reached out to Ashley's customer service team expecting them to stand behind their product. Instead, we spent nearly six months going back and forth--waiting for updates, following up repeatedly--only to finally be told that our warranty claim was denied. The reason? They said the issue had to be reported within 72 hours of delivery. While we were informed of this policy for delivery-related damage, our claim was not about delivery damage--it was about a clear manufacturer defect that only became visible with time. It's disappointing that Ashley refuses to distinguish between the two or honor their product warranty in cases like this. We're incredibly disappointed--not only in the subpar quality of the furniture but in the lack of accountability and customer support from Ashley. For a company of this size to dismiss a long-time customer with a legitimate concern is truly disheartening. Bottom line: don't be misled by the price tag or the "premium" label. Our experience shows that even Ashley's top-tier furniture may be made with cheap materials--and their warranty process is designed to protect the company, not the customer. I simply cannot tell you how helpful, sweet, knowledgeable and just overall GENUINE Lina is. She explained everything to us and helped us make the right decision, all without pressuring us. We felt so comfortable dealing with her and we trusted her. We had a great experience and I feel very confident about our final decision. To my understanding, Lina isn't always there but if I were you, I would hunt her down and go in when she's there. The competitor buys all their stock on credit requiring interest, so when you purchase from them you pay for the initial interest as well as the interest of your purchase, (you get a credit card from a bank for your payments.) Tim explained Mattress One is family owned and buys all their merchandise for cash, so there is no inflated pricing. Our first purchase for a Serta mattress has been through three mattresses and still wasn't the correct size or undamaged. We purchased a Stearns and Foster mattress (been in business for 175 years I believe Tim said), from Mattress One. Tim explained the individual who builds it is the only one to touch the mattress. If the dimensions are more than 1/2" out of spec the mattress is thrown away and started over. I have to ask, if Customer Service and Quality of the product is non-existent at time of purchase, what happens a year down the road? I would rather have both along with peace of mind from day one. For the prices of new mattresses now-a-days, I expect this to last the entire 10 year warranty period without issues. Tim also mentioned these mattresses can last up to twenty years and most do. If you purchase the PureCare mattress protector they also provide a lifetime warranty on their product. We had our last mattress for twelve years, to me this is a win win!

He told us about the different mattress they had, the pricing and at the same time making my daughters laugh which is very hard to do. I purchased a cologne from one location and needed to return it to a different location. I visited this location which was full of staff and every counter had someone available to help me but I was literally told to go to a different counter after speaking to about 3-4 people until someone told me to go upstairs into the men's section to make the return. I hope they create a better system for returns because I should have been directed to customer service or even just been assisted by anyone to make a return. Needless to say, I have been discouraged on making purchases from Macy's since their return process is so time consuming and difficult.
