I would not recommend this firm if you need someone responsive during a Social Security disability appeal. I was assigned to attorney Matty Sandoval, and getting any real communication out of him was a constant struggle. Staff told me a letter about my case had been sitting on his desk and that he'd call me back -- he never did, even after I followed up. When I finally reached him by phone, I asked a basic question about managing income while my appeal was pending, and instead of any guidance, I was told "I'm not a social worker, I'm an attorney." No help, no referral, just dismissive. After I terminated representation in writing, I requested my complete case file -- medical records, correspondence, and everything filed with Social Security. I only ever received the medical records. Despite multiple written follow-ups (including one sent to the firm directly, not just Sandoval), I still have not received the rest of my file, and the firm has not submitted the required withdrawal notice to Social Security either -- leaving my case in limbo for weeks.
