The Director of nursing Amanda is entirely incompetent and uncaring, as he received the wrong medications, jeopardizing his health and well-being. It was appalling to witness such negligence and lack of attention to the welfare of him and of other residents. And since he has continuously complained about the food not good or cold, wrong orders..and it has never been corrected. And having to wait and wait to get help... then when reaching out to the social worker Scott , he was no help at all and it is known throughout the residence that he doesn't care and doesn't want to help them. Furthermore, the building itself was in a state of disrepair, with cracked walls, leaking ceilings, and a general air of neglect. It was clear that no effort was being made to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for the residents. We were told for over a year that they were going to start remodeling, but nothing has been done except touchup paint. And the elevators are out of inspection date, over a year. They shake, the doors open close then elevator doesn't move. Once my father got on the elevator and it dropped about a foot. I complained to the administrator and he said nothing is wrong with the elevator... I said everybody complains about the elevators and wanted to see it get fixed. It wasn't safe. I asked for a return call on progress of getting it fixed, no return call. I called their headquarters and no return calls there either. The elevator finally broke down, so everyone has to use the freight elevator and all the residents are on the second floor. And that elevator is shaky too... In conclusion, I would strongly advise against entrusting the care of your loved ones to this abysmal nursing home. The blatant disregard for the residents' health and safety, coupled with the dilapidated state of the building, make it a place to be avoided at all costs. Steer clear if you value the well-being of your family members.

While I've tried to maintain a positive attitude, my experience has been one of alienation, lack of individualized support, and, frankly, a deep misunderstanding of neurodivergent needs. From the outset, my communication challenges--clearly documented in my file--were misinterpreted as behavioral issues rather than manifestations of my condition. Instead of receiving support or accommodations, I was met with inflexibility and judgment. Staff routinely failed to recognize the social and cognitive differences that shape how I process group dynamics, stress, and interpersonal feedback. There is no medication for autism. It is a developmental condition that requires patience, understanding, and tailored engagement--not punitive responses or indifference. When I tried to advocate for myself respectfully, I was often dismissed or met with tone-policing rather than dialogue. If you are neurodivergent or seeking care that honors individual differences, I strongly advise you to ask hard questions before choosing this program. Recovery should not feel like survival. It should feel like being understood.

The therapists were compassionate, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in my recovery. My therapist, in particular, helped me work through challenges and develop the tools I needed to move forward with confidence. While I did not stay in the housing program, I saw firsthand how much effort the staff puts into supporting clients at every level of care. From transportation to AA meetings and recovery-focused activities to team-building events and recreational outings, they do an excellent job creating a supportive environment. One of the unique aspects of the program is its location--the beach is only a short walk away, providing a peaceful place for reflection and healing. Recovery is never easy, but Footprints Beachside Recovery gave me the structure, support, and encouragement I needed during an important chapter of my life. I am grateful for the experience and would recommend them to anyone seeking help and a fresh start.

I have loved seeing Riley as a therapist…read more My fiancé and I have been to couples therapy at McNulty counseling and did not have positive group counseling support from our therapist so I was slightly hesitant about finding a new therapist, but upon giving it another shot I'm so glad that we found this office and Riley specifically. his soft nature makes it very easy to talk with and very calming. He makes you feel heard, understood, and like he is going to truly try to get you to achieve the goal it is you're looking to achieve. He is super supportive and actually is interactive with trying to find the core issues. regardless of if your relationship works or doesn't work his efforts to actually solve the issues that are there and give you different books and various outlets are so helpful. I would recommend him to anyone. he goes above and beyond ( at least hugely from my previous experience ) for his client and greatly appreciated. Thank you !

I am a huge proponenet of "old school" doctors that actually listen to your concerns, share their expertise, and together come up with a plan that will work for you not only in that moment, but also in the long run. His office staff is caring, and gets you to where you need to be. It may take some time, but you will get there. All in all, he's a very kind, compassionate human who wants the best for his patients. Yes it may be a long wait to see him once you're in the examination room, don't worry, the wait is worth it!!!

I am being excessively generous with the second star here and the only reason I am giving two is…read morebecause I like Dr Carlson. He's a very nice person and the staff in his office are also pleasant. But from a quality of care perspective, you should find another primary care physician. I made my appointment as a new patient a year ago. As is the case with US healthcare, I had to wait months for my appointment. My initial appointment, even though I had health concerns, was mostly just a meet and greet and filling out paperwork, including records request for prior doctors and specialists. And that was it. Paid a copay, and they billed my insurance company. Second visit was 4 months or so later. This was to give Dr Carlson time to review prior records. When I showed up, again, no exam at all. Dr Carlson spoke briefly about the records he received and wanted to send me out for blood work, even though I had blood work already. Turns out they didn't receive records from everyone, including a specialist who had just done an extensive blood panel a month or so prior. So, Dr Carlson sent me on my way while they attempted to get that paperwork. Had me schedule another appt in 4 months. Copay and insurance billed again, for nothing. Fast forward to this past week and my last appointment. Dr Carlson spent most of the time talking about all of the data he received from the specialist. And while he did ask me if I had any health concerns, he told me my questions were good ones for the specialist and I should ask him. He also suggested getting another opinion on my issues. But that was it. Once again, no exam. However, this time he said he was going to bill this as my annual physical because then I won't have a copay. I don't know why I didn't say anything then and there. I should have. But that's 3 visits. 3 times billing my insurance company and two copays. And one of them billing as an annual physical without giving me any type of exam. What kind of doctor or medical practice is this? How do you have me come in 3 times without giving me any kind of exam? Apparently, they are just here to bill your insurance as much as possible. People come to primary care doctors specifically to help find any issues early, but you can't detect issues in advance of them becoming problems if you don't conduct basic health exams. Moreover, the visits he had me come for could have all been handled in advance of any visit. The office could have contacted me at any time before my first visit to have me fill out records releases. And if any records didn't show up timely, they could have contacted me to follow up with those other doctors. That would have eliminated the need for those first two visits. Instead, they were inefficient - presumably because they just wanted to needlessly and endlessly bill my insurance. Anyway, long story short, Dr Carlson is a nice man and maybe a good doctor, but the way this practice is run is horrible. It's clearly more about billing your insurance and collecting your copay than it is about your health. Don't waste a year of your life like I did. Go somewhere else for your PCP needs.
