Madison Park is where the rough kids who went to Emerson Middle School (Steve L.) hung out in the 90's. I saw Big Chuck and Little John play celebrity softball in the park. There is a decent community pool complete with a slide for thrill seekers. There is a lot of chatter around town about Gordon Square, North Collinwood, Ohio City and other neighborhoods getting hip. I hope that Birdtown in Lakewood can make the same transition. Madison Park serves as the anchor.

All play areas are visible from closest picnic area, except the bottom of the turf slide hill. 4 stars due to it being on the smaller side, but my kids really enjoyed it. Mostly stayed at the turf hill though & the tractor. Wouldn't make a long trip here as kiddos might get bored after awhile. But def nice if close for picnics, short play, or dog walks!

This is a full restroom with fully functioning toilets. If you're at the nearby beach, this is basically the closest restroom (until the Main Street Beach comfort station finishes construction). It's not the gross public restroom you're probably thinking of. Dare I call this restroom...cute? The Comfort Station is the original Vermilion Police location dating back to 1912. It has an old-fashioned look to it, so if you pass it on the street, you probably won't immediately comprehend what it is. Exchange Park is a little gem in Vermilion, and the Comfort Station adds a nice necessity for those beaching, biking, etc. Its super clean and maintained well by the city. I love Public Square in downtown Cleveland. It is an open space where alot of people gather to eat their lunch during break time from work or simply just to walk by and admire the big water fountain that shoots water out from the ground. ACTIVITIES -- Ice Skating rink in the winter months, speaker series in the summer months, I think festivals too, etc. The Soldiers and Sailor Museum is right on Public Square too - you can look up my review of that museum on Yelp. The tall monument that you see sticking up on that small structure is the museum. It is small from the outside but it has a lot of history including an underground section to tour. ICE-RINK -- Join Downtown Cleveland's email list to get updates on Public Square and downtown activities. The update email from 8 January 2025 stated this: "Open on the weekends through Martin Luther King Jr. Day (Jan 20th) the ice rink and magical lights at Public Square make the perfect destination for a friends and family outing. Tickets are $12 and include skate rentals." FOOD -- There are food options around the vicinity. Rebol, a healthy food spot, is one of them which is located right on Public Square. The owner of Rebol also owns Townhall. I haven't been to both restaurants in a long time but I remember enjoying the food when I previously visited. In the summer months, food trucks and farmers markets park around Public Square plus the surrounding area. Parking is street parking or a nearby garage including the Tower City garage. Street parking is hard to find most of the time so beware. Public Square gets packed especially with children during the summer months. This review is for the tennis courts. The tennis courts are called COULTON COURTS and it is located in Bay Village. There are 4 tennis courts covered by a fence and it is a "first come, first serve" deal so the sooner you arrive, the sooner you'll be able to get a court to play on. The courts are a hard court surface and they are well maintained and kept clean. The surface feels good to play on. Just outside of the courts are some benches/seats and a dustbin (trash can). While I only spent a day or two walking through and around this pretty 16-acre park, I can tell locals love it. I saw everyone from 5 year old t-ball players to guys in their later years playing pick up basketball. With grounds that are maintained nicely and a very friendly neighborhood encompassing the area, Bradley Park is a great pick if you're cruising around Bay Village!
