What a great place for a hike and super close to both Sandusky and Huron! It's nice to have somewhere this preserved and peaceful so close to town. There's a long, wide paved path that's wheelchair friendly with many little observation decks along the way to try to catch a glimpse of a turtle, egret, or *gasp* snake! The path goes all the way back to the water and has beach access. If you right onto the beach and across it, there's a nice shady area with plenty of picnic tables for relaxing.
