we ordered a 4 meat platter, pulled pork, brisket, rib tips, ribs, cole slaw, beans. Portion sizes of the meats were a bit small for the price. Should be 8oz instead of 5. beans and cole slow were good, portion size again were a bit small. the meats were good flavor and decent quality, even though the wife said the pulled pork was fatty. This place was not good. I personally had the roll tide burger it took forever to cook. Then was so hot it was hard to chew. Just a couple things preventing this meal tonight from being a 5 star review; First of all the hush puppys were overcooked and dried out and disappointing to say the least. Secondly the restaurant forgot the tartar sauce for my wife's catfish dinner. Other than that the ribs were very good and the sauce was pretty tasty. Being a bbq junky, thought I'd try this place out. Have to say that this place is straight fire! Food was fantastic! Owner also came out to make sure everything was good. Had a nice chat with him and Wednesday is family day at this location. Wife and parents all work together which I thought was awesome. This will become a regular spot for me when I'm in the area. This is one of those diamond in the rough places! It's in a pretty sparse part of town and is very small. They have a picnic table and one table inside as well as stool/window seating. But probably better for takeout. I had an astounding terrific pulled pork sandwich. They have a full bbq menu. No indoor bathrooms so beware. But that detriment wasn't worth a deduction. I have been here a couple of times and have had excellent food and service each time. This time I tried the pulled pork and roasted chicken dinners. Both included a side and cornbread. I also tried the Carolina BBQ sauce with each. The Carolina sauce has a nice little kick and a lot of flavor. Both the chicken and the pork was juicy and tender - just the way I like it. I got coleslaw with each dinner - which was very good. The cornbread muffin that was included was very dry and did not have a lot of flavor. Other than the cornbread, everything else here has been excellent - putting Maude's Alabama BBQ at the top of my list for BBQ in the Flint area. Oh My!!! I love BBQ and our first takeout won't be the last. Smoked perfectly in-house for our brisket and ribs and the sauce and rubs they use are some of the best we have ever indulged in. It's a little pricey, but what isn't these days and at least you are getting meat on the ribs and not all bone like so many other businesses. Highly recommend. read more

This place is a hole in the wall. Not too inviting on the outside but the inside is a nice set up. I don't typically leave reviews but this is arguably the BEST bbq in flint that I've ever tried. The brisket was juicy and smoky, the ribs were sweet and tangy, the fries were perfectly seasoned and all of my food came out hot!! I have tried multiple things but my personal favorites are the 3 little pigs sandwich, brisket, Mac and cheese, and smoked wings. Try their array of sauces from the unique Alabama white and Carolina gold to the standard sweet and tangy. All of them are great. Even the fries were really good. I've had their food on multiple occasions and it's great everytime. Their ribs and brisket is great. The price is good for what you get. The different bbq sauces are really good too. They season their food well and do a great job with their grilling. Went into the store and had a meal with my daughter. A guy came in and was cussing and being a douche and they politely pointed out that a kid was there and asked him to watch his language. I really appreciated that. The wings must of come from the tiniest chickens on the planet! Catfish...not fresh and not tasty at all! Looked like someone had taken a bite out of each piece. Very small serving also.
