Two different Mexican restaurants we like crapped out…read moreclosing early with the upcoming holiday so we search Yelp and find Yevette's gourmet Tacos, which is a food truck. Yevette's location was only 5 minutes away from the restaurant we went to but it was unannouncingly closed, so we gave her a shot after seeing her 5-star reviews. Her trick was open, and her menu is very basic but we were pleasantly surprised with how good her food is. My wife got soft shell, I got hard shell and we loved her taco's and will be back. Options were beef, turkey, or collared greens vegetarian taco's. If you are in the mood for food truck taco's you will not be disappointed. I added just a touch of salt to mine but we both thought her meat was wonderfully seasoned, and her hard and soft home made shells were delicious. Try her! You won't be disappointed!

If you spend a few minutes chatting and see them at another event, expect that they'll remember you, that's the kind of people they are. Don't leave without trying their bread pudding. So far, it's the star. You could probably share it, there's enough and it's pretty rich. You either be full or sweeten out by the end. It's served nice and warm, perfect on a chilly fall day. For cheesecake lovers, you'll enjoy theirs. It's smooth and creamy, sweet, and not over the top. After eating it, you won't sit and regret it. At any food truck gathering, this is a must stop. Usually parked curbside on Saginaw Street in front of Cafe Rhema or in the flat lot across the street, this local ice cream and coffee vendor on wheels is nothing short of delightful. They serve Ashby's ice cream and can make a good cup of joe while they're at it. They even threw a "Free Ice Cream Day" recently, handing out cones to everyone who stopped by at no charge. Cones are generous in size and the Ashby's ice cream is tasty to boot, featuring lots of flavors! Around for about two years now, the trolley is always out during Art Walk and other notable events downtown and seems to have finally found a more permanent location near the flat lot on S. Saginaw Street as of late, so it looks like the trolley has a definitive spot to call home these days. The trolley is usually open til around 7 p.m. or so, sometimes later if it's during Art Walk. Five years ago, something like an ice cream and coffee trolley (or any food truck, really) hitting the streets of Flint would have seemed unheard of, but fortunately, times have changed.

They came with celery and blue cheese or ranch, we got the blue cheese. I like that the ribs came with a veggie, good choice not to only do carbs as sides. I am sad that I did not try the lobster roll, but I felt that I should get what they are know for first before venturing outside the box. The people working here seemed friendly and helpful. We were able to order and pick up in a reasonable amount of time, it was packed here in general. I am not sure about using the QR code, I just went to their trailer and ordered in person. This place is a big expensive for what you get, it is typical of food trucks to have small portions and high prices. But, if you are eating here, you are paying for an experience. This is a party atmosphere for all ages. You can eat outside, which we did, or inside. They have lawn games outside and arcade games inside on two levels. I would eat at this place again. I would just like to see perhaps a larger fry portion or slightly cheaper burger price.
