We had one of our company parties here and we had an absolute blast! We had a group of 17. Bobby and Tamara were so helpful and accommodating. It was intimidating at first to come into this seemingly members only establishment. There were some obvious regulars there killing it in their lanes. However, everyone was so nice and encouraging to us novice bowlers. We could bring our own food. They gave us some tables to set our food up on. **No food is allowed past the benches!** The cons: It was a bit hot and you have to do your own scoring on paper. The pros: Everything was clean, the shoes were new and comfortable and it is such a fun place to spend time as a group. I'm so glad they offer open bowl hours as we definitely need more family friendly places on island! I will definitely be back with my kids! read more

There is a company bowling night with food here tonight. We've been before, but are now retired. Nice to get asked just because we are on island. We did bring ugly Xmas shirts to fit in with the crowd. This alley is old school and scoring is by paper and pencil. I think it was 12 lanes. Vintage. Should be fun... Update:10 lanes, normal old problems. Balls get stuck , pin setter freezes. Kind of a return to 50 years ago. Everyone had a blast. Great music was rocking. This is not a public alley. More like a paid club. And they hire out for parties like tonight. Lots of smiles, I had a decent amount of Strikes and got my Spares. Good time!! read more

Wailuku Lanes is a no-frills, old-school bowling alley with limited open bowling times, but it's a solid spot if you just want to roll a few games without breaking the bank. Shoe rentals are only $3, prices overall are very reasonable, and it's BYOB and snacks, which is a nice bonus. My Little Sister and I had a bowling treat with Big Brother, Big Sister who organized a fun afternoon for their mentors and keiki. So. Much.Fun!! We managed to grab street parking right outside, and while the building is old and dingy with a tiny little door for entry, inside it is retro with bleacher seats for spectators, no guards on the lanes which keeps the bowlers on their toes, and the music keeps you dancing along. There is a vending machine with snacks but no other food. If you take food or drink in with you it has to be kept on the bleachers. No auto scoring, but you can keep score old time way, with paper and pencil :) Everyone, adults and keiki, had a fantastic afternoon, enjoying the atmosphere and challenge of beating each other. I believe the alley can be rented for parties and functions, and it sometimes has lanes open for the general public. However it is mostly a club alley. I'm looking forward to next years BBBS event and another afternoon of fun. read more

In all my 30+ years on Maui, I have never stepped foot in this mysterious little bowling center that has been serving the community of Maui for over 70 years. Despite knowing about it for many decades, I feel like it was a little exclusive club of folks who only got to go here like bowling leagues and teams. I feel like it was always, "is it open to the public?" "When are they even open?" Lol. Imagine my surprise when we recently got invited to a child's birthday party here recently! I've seen social posts over the last couple of years where they started opening up to the public more and hosting glow in the dark bowling nights and posting when they have spots open. I had no idea they do kid's parties (not sure if it's a common thing, but doesn't hurt to check if you're interested). Of course I jumped at the chance to take a peek inside. There is a small parking lot on the side of the building, but street parking is also available. The exterior is old and worn and as expected, it seems many of the original fixtures remain inside as well with not too many updates being done over the years. You have to keep your own score, but the pins do reset. There's 'stadium' like seating with a few rows behind the bowlers. There are bathrooms and some vending machines with local kine snacks. They provided bowling shoes for the kids and were allowed to bowl for two hours. Despite not having guards on the sides, the kids had tons of fun! I didn't bowl myself, but knowing they have openings for public bowling -- I may just have to stop by sometime to get a bowling fix. As long as you know what to expect and set your expectations accordingly, this could be a fun activity for anyone. Hopefully they offer more fun events in the future and make kid's parties a thing. read more

I can't remember the last time I came here but it looks great! I heard it was renovated not too long ago. Yes it is a small, old bowling alley but the people who work there are so friendly and welcoming. I attended a birthday party there and it was so much fun. You can rent lanes for $22.50/hour. We didn't keep score but you can if you want. Shoe rentals are extra. They have lots of bowling balls available too. They even have a bowling guide that positions the balls for young children. And you can even bring your own food and drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). They play old school music to complete the retro vibe. We'll definitely be back for another blast from the past! read more

You can't come here. Seriously. Neither can I. The bowling center is only open to private leagues that are already part of the center. How do you get to be a part of the league? That part is just as elusive to me, as I asked, and they told me to ask around. ;) So I have heard this is a great bowling alley for league members. Unfortunately, don't even bother trying to ask to pay for use. They don't want that either. I think places like this are private because of their age, and also fear of letting best kept secrets out to non-locals. So, until then, you will have to head to Oahu for a Lucky Strike. read more

my friends and i were lucky enough to secure 4 lanes back in November and we had such a good time. it felt like we were all time traveled into the past and it was a blast - it's BYOB which was CLUTCH and they had snacks for purchase at a reasonable price. the AUNTY who laid down the rules for us played some jams that got us all in mood for bowling. my friends and i left knowing we wanted to do this again!! read more

One of the last remaining bowling alleys in the country that used to have pins manually set up! How do I know this? My dad used to "set em up" in high school!! This place is a time warp of a bygone era .... Don't let the hipsters find out , but it's a gold mine for any hipster looking for the latest dive! It's so cool to have to manually write scores with the plastic score sheets! Who makes those anymore??? Come in and if your lucky you can still bowl a game or two. The bowling balls actually return "old school style" in a track above the lanes! Maybe get a drink from the mini fridge and you are set!! This place is great and should be a considered a historical landmark ! Don't expect any high tech stuff here , but rather more like a game of "pong" on your old Atari system!! It's the only bowling alley on the island and it's been here for a VERY long time. Unfortunately time has taken its toll. However for the diehard bowlers it serves it's purpose and nowadays it is used mainly for leagues. Open bowling is during the day and the hours are sporadic. Hopefully one day Maui will get the always talked about never accomplished new bowling alley. Until then this will do until the lease runs out and this place shuts down too :( read more

This place is being remodeled, and has limited hours. I think they are only open Monday and Thursday, and closed all holidays.
