There's a lot of selection. Its too pricey compared to other stores. Sometimes I wonder if you are getting double ring up. They just need to be more friendly they always look so mad while talking. My newest find having overlooked this healthy oasis as I make a bee line to Maui Specialty Chocolates for their awesome moci. The store is rather small and packed with many non perishable items up front. In back you will find the tables overflowing with fresh local produce. This is definitely the place to go to as a last resort for any filipino ingredients that you just can't find anywhere else. The only catch to this place is they charge a little more than other local filipino stores. Always check the expiration date on their items! I have experienced purchasing an expired product from them in the past, but if you notice it right away they usually will take it away and bring out a non-expired product for you. Also be aware of how much they charge you for certain items, they make mistakes but just reassure them of the correct price and they will gladly fix it. They are also at the swap meet by UHMC on Saturdays, they have delicious bananas which have always been sweet. They also have different types of bananas. Some good for eating and some cooking banana great for banana lumpia. Their vegetables are always nice and fresh. read more

My cousin told me of this market a few weeks ago when I asked her where in the world she found a specific veggie I've been searching high and low for. ATMOSPHERE: The market is located in the L-shaped industrial building across the street from Paradise Food Mart and Midas. Parking was plentiful. The inside is a no-frills warehouse space and isn't air conditioned. MERCHANDISE: The majority of the goods are Filipino-based, but they also sell a few Japanese and Hispanic items as well. But what I came for was the fresh produce and found what I was looking for. What was it? I am not telling! It's really a farmer's market so the produce was affordable and fresh. Great fresh produce, I drive from kihei to get it a lot better priced than Safeway or food land papaya 3-4 for $10

When you're looking for farm fresh veggies at a good price, this is the place. The best part is you know exactly what days they are here and where to find them, compared to some of the other farmer market stands. I've driven by here all the time (and for the record: their "we're open" sign seems to be on 24/7) and have always wanted to stop in. I finally had the chance since I was in the area. Parking is plenty in the big lot. This business is connected to others and sort of a strip mall. I came in and no one was at the register. I shuffled my way through the store to take a peek at all the things they had. There were things that I had never seen before. I made my way to the back where there was a man sawing the wall and a female employee. She asked if I needed help and I said no, I was just looking. They had a good selection of produce in the back but no Molokai sweet potatoes. I went back toward the front to check out the stuff that I missed. The employee came back up and told me that I could not take pictures of any of their items because they don't want me comparing prices elsewhere. I tried explaining myself but she wasn't having it. Dont shop here! They take advantage of old people who barley speak english. I seen them over charge my aunty for 2 bags of onions and tomatoes. My aunty gave $100 got back $60 with no receipt! Ask for receipt people and if your kapuna going there, go with them! The lady cons old people! I demanded my aunties money and gave the vegetables back. Maui Greens is our go-to spot for inexpensive vegetables that you won't find at COSTCO. It's not an organic market so just be aware of that. The selection and prices are what brings us back each time but the aunties that work there also make it a pleasurable experience. They carry dry goods too like crackers, chips, and sauces that are hard to find elsewhere. read more

This is a nice little market selling Asian foods; mostly Filipino that may be hard to find elsewhere. I was looking for Jicama for some Thai spring rolls I wanted to make and was so happy to find them at Maui Greens Market after checking Foodland and Safeway and not finding them. A locals market with a little bit of everything. I am so happy I found this place as I was driving through Kahului. They have local fruits and vegetables at great prices. Nothing better than home grown tomatoes, red and green peppers, and assorted fruits. They also sell great cheese rolls that are good for sandwiches or just with a little butter. read more
