Maurice Mauner did me and my wife's taxes only to forget my income on the return. We happened to notice this, not him. Which Im glad we did because we would owe the IRS much more had we not. I sat down with him and he explained to me the money I owed to the government to correct this issue. 6 months later I received a letter from the IRS saying I still owe hundreds to them, despite him saying I did not. Now If it were just me listening to him, I can understand. But my wife was there also, and she explicitly remembers the situation also.
Why did I pay him to do my taxes only to incur such a headache? Its ridiculous to think that a simple tax return could become such a mistake and escalate to this much frustration.
Also the women that work there are dreadful to speak with on the phone.
I doubt at this point in his career hes getting new clients, however just do yourself a favor and use turbotax or find someone else. read more
