The highlights are the wonderful Annapolis Professional Pharmacy on the ground floor and an imaging center for MRIs and X-rays. I've used all of these personally. There is a footbridge to the Belcher pavilion too. And from there to the main hospital building, but you will need to exit to the street and walk all the way around (unless you're an employee with a badge). It is really only for staff. Parking is not too bad if you just go to the roof. It is a big garage. Elevators are slow. Use the steps if you can.

However, even when you're the first appointment of the…read moremorning, you are looking at at least a 2 hour wait in the waiting room, and probably another 45 minutes of waiting in the exam room, just to see the doctor for 10 minutes. It's just not worth it if you dont' have at least 3 hours to kill (and there's no cell phone reception in there, so it's not like you can continue your work day) Also, I asked the stand-in doctor (as my real one was out sick one day) if she would sort of explain my new insulin system (I'm diabetic) in terms of alcohol. She refused. She said that alcohol was bad for me, and that she would not help me mitigate that by telling me how to do it. I pointed out that if I was going to do it anyway, as I refuse to not enjoy life, she would be helping me, and that she took an oath to do no harm, and that not telling me was harmful. She stormed out of the office--not what you want in a doctor. Last time I was there, I saw Heather, who was lovely.

I reccomend reading BOTH of Joani books. If you want to be an interventionist or if you want to learn how interventions work, I also reccomend it for people who work in addiction. Among other people, Joani Gammil inspired me to be an interventionist. I look forward to collaborating with her and maybe either working together or to talk about the field. Joani also includes her own stories in her books. I also reccomend reading the one on opiate addiction, even if you DON'T have an addiction it's a very important book to read.

They ensured that everytime I called to inquire where we were in the waiting process or finding us the right cousnelor, I felt heard and that they were hunting answers down for me. I was able to get my son in with a provider, that we think is okay, but with the demand right now, we didn't have much of a choice and he needed to be seen (directed by school). We have had fortune getting appoitnments and talking with the counselor between appointments and that's more than some do. The waiting room is clean, the parking is easy, restrooms in the builing in Arnold is nice.
