How were we to know? After she passed, we had valuable items stolen from her apartment in the months while we were cleaning her items out of her place. Three watches were taken from her bedroom dresser. Two valuable brooches from her jewelry closet. And a heavy, 2 foot high piece of natural art was stolen from the living room. All of this was in her apartment when she passed but was taken while all us kids argued about her possessions. Management ignored the theft. Management accused us kids of improper use of the facilities. They sent a very rude letter complaining about us as a family. What does improper use of facilities mean? Aljoya cut off her mail delivery, her electricity to her stove and her phone. We cleaned and divided up possessions under strange circumstances all the while they never addressed the thefts. Staff was in and out of her apartment daily plus there were contractors working on the bathroom light. Mom had a strange bathroom leak where poop water backed up into her shower stall. Management accused us of doing something to the toilet. We did not. Also the dishwasher never drained properly even while she was alive. They never addressed any of the plumbing issues. Nothing was ever fixed! Her apartment was on one of the higher floors so I have no idea why she had so many plumbing issues. It was like tenement living but in a fancy building. She had a mouse problem in her dresser that wasn't there when she moved in. Twelve years in a tenement and us kids never knew. It was the theft of the $7,000 piece of natural art that hurts the most!

I reached out to Solista Bellevue and was assisted by Tabitha and later Nikki as well as the Executive Director, Gina. They made me feel very welcomed when I toured the property and I was impressed at the light and bright facility as well as the friendly residents I met along the way. I was shown a spacious "cottage" that would fit my needs as I was downsizing from a large three-bedroom apartment. The floorplan was lovely and it was on a special "Spotlight" discounted pricing. However, I had a lease and would incur big penalties to break. This is where Gina came to my rescue; telling me about a law that allowed folks in my age group (over 65) to break leases. That, along with a free month's rent, sealed the deal for me. Since moving to Solista (3 months ago) I have enjoyed a carefree lifestyle with inclusive chef curated meals three times a day in the lovely dining room, weekly housekeeping service, multiple daily activities and parties, snacks, coffee, and fruits available in the coffee center, and transportation options (although I do drive and have my own vehicle). On site management, maintenance, chef and kitchen staff and housekeeping teams are extremely friendly, responsive and motivated to serve the residents. In just a few short months, I have made very many new friends and acquaintances. While I am on the younger side, all the residents have embraced me and added a warm and enriched experience. I look forward to my daily encounters with my many new friends and I am treated as a valued member of our community. Solista's location in Bellevue, Washington, is one that provides safety, diversity, and convenience. Bellevue is rated as one of the safest cities in America with top rated police, fire, and ambulance response times. The community reflects a widely diverse population that enriches the community. Finally, Bellevue is located in close proximity to Seattle and all it has to offer in the way of recreational activities, shopping, and dining experiences. Bellevue also offers the same options in a more laid-back suburban setting. Just one mile from Solista is a vibrant shopping district with every selection of stores, entertainment, restaurants, banking and needed services. Additionally, the area is served by multiple world class medical centers including the University of Washington Medical Center and Seattle Cancer Care Alliance. Lastly, Solista can be my long-term home. While it is an independent living setting, as my needs for care change, I am able to contract for individualized care while remaining in my current residence and community. This provides me with peace of mind as I look forward to my senior years with confidence and security. A sign with our names greeted us in the lobby, a staffperson helped us unload and wheel our belongings up to the unit. The requested microwave was brought promptly. The staff made an effort to listen to our needs and sought our feedback on the visit. Great views and tasty food. Well worth looking into, especially as the entire building will be transformed with a major rebuild.

At Ida Culver you will be surprised to find a warm, welcoming place behind the serious facade on NE 65th. The majority of the facility is older with big picture windows facing either a meditation garden or a beautiful, large sunny garden. This won't fill your needs if you're looking for brand new, McMansion type living. But if you are looking for wonderful spaces, bright and cheerful views, top notch staff with absolutely great communication, you have found the right place for your loved one(s). Soon after our Mom moved into Ida Culver, her health started to decline. The staff of Ida Culver was right on top of it, communicating to us what we didn't always see on our regular visits. Not only was the staff great, the other residents looked after Mom, and communicated to the staff when there was a problem. They were with us in dealing with hospitalization, were with us in dealing with the hospital regarding her care, and were with us for the short term of skilled nursing in order to gain strength. Our Mom will be transitioning to full assisted living, and the nursing staff has been wonderful concerning planning, communicating, and meeting with us. Bravo Ida Culver. It's wonderful to find a place that truly cares about their residents and 100% advocates for the best care possible. They have made this difficult journey that much easier.

Anyway, overall after a few months when we visited my MIL, I hardly see the 'office' folks and the ground staffs were lovely. It looks like they took care of my MIL well. Place was well staffed in the memory care unit and facility was well lit and well cared for. MIL looks comfortable and respected. It is not inexpensive but we are happy if our family is happy.

Yes, it is!…read more I've been eyeing this property ever since I saw the posted sign and learned an Aegis Living will be built here. What a fantastic location. I've heard in the past that Aegis is one of the better chains of assisted living facilities in this region. We more or less knew we wanted to be at one of their properties in our future. We received an invitation to tour the facility, and we jumped on the chance. After a light lunch, we saw many of the amenities and two of the available rooms. Frankly, we're blown away. Our guide says they are the cruise ship that never moves, and it sure looks like it. The basic plan includes the meals, some drinks, and most of the activities. When one moves here, other than the room, the other available facilities and amenities are: - Dining hall - Private dining hall to reserve - A Grotto, aka Solarium, to enjoy the sun - A bar - A movie theater with candy and popcorn - A gym with guided trainings - A spa - A salon for the ladies and a barber for the gents - A coffee and smoothie bar - A lounge with outside balcony - Once a week live music - Guided games There are probably more that I'm forgetting. We certainly like what we saw. They offer different levels of medical care packages including memory care on an as-needed basics. If our parents weren't out-of-state, we'd be signing them up for sure. Hopefully, there'll be a room available when we're ready. Awesome location and awesome facilities. 4 thumbs up.

They both state that they really enjoy the meals and the dining facilities, also the opportunities to socialize with others in a variety of dining options. I am unable to address the costs with any accuracy so I will say I only understand that fees are 'hefty'. But that includes all expenses. The family members support each them with frequent visits and supplement anything they need. At times, the staff is not 100% on the ball and require that we keep check on doctor's orders. It is important to do this since health issues are involved.  There are a variety of activities offered and many residents take advantage of the offerings and state that the choices are outstanding. These activities offer so much, friendships, socialization, enjoyment and much more. The programs are high quality and open to all. So far, the individual apartments are pretty basic. The windows are large and open onto lovely landscaping. Moving in required that each family member had to leave much behind and only bring in a few treasured items to fit into the small apartments. For our family members it is important that we 'supplement' their lives with our support. We do so with love and affection.

My husband and I have lived in a Mirabella apartment since July 2019…read more (I just happened on a negative review that shocked me. ) I initiated a search 5 years ago after falling down stairs twice in our wonderful Ballard house. the transition was fairly easy, much to my surprise. We had an easy move-in and live very comfortably here. There are staff dedicated to moves. The move-in fee was big, but we sold our house, so not a problem. If you move or pass away, a large % of the fee is refunded. We get the equivalent of a big meal a day per person (or 2 small ones) included in our monthly fee, as well as fairly thorough housekeeping every 2 weeks. I don't own a vacumn. They gave us new carpet and I chose to have wood floors for part. On move in, you choose things like wall paint colors, etc. The dining rooms include a casual one where you can pick up meals or choose baked goods etc. I love the staff here. I hire someone to help me above and beyond, but could comfortably manage without if needed. I love to be surrounded by books and have built- in shelves. Maybe you will be lucky and move into a place like mine where the previous occupant did so. We have an electric fireplace. You can move in your furniture at your own expense or find helpful relatives. Parking is an extra fee, tiny if you compare it to city charges. We have a big swimming pool, a smaller warjacuzzi and hot tub, a " Restore "  of items donated or left behind, where I like to shop. It was created by and staffed with wonderful resident volunteers. Lots of programs of all kinds, classes like a writing class I'm fond of. Many other services help, like packages delivered to your apt door. During Covid, they delivered our food. I think you get a certain number of such deliveries a year/ free. They are NOT paying me for this review.
