Perhaps it is nostalgia, but it is nice to do business at a place you know you can trust. I often like the look of an older vehicle but have a strong desire to have more modern technology installed. (Don't worry, not the classic oldies, the newer old vehicles. heh) It is great that these folks can help with that! I am also way to old to be suspended upside down under the dash trying to manipulate wires into impossible places. I appreciate them even more as I get older. Now that I live in a much bigger city in a much bigger state, I do understand that the Lakewood Mall is surely lacking. However, I still see friends and family on Facebook talk about their experiences there and it always brings a smile to my face. I would love to see this mall thrive by getting some new stores that get more youngsters to come in. Many feel that Sioux Falls has great shopping, and compared to Aberdeen, that may be true. However, there are plenty of stores chains that can be found in small towns that have yet to hit Aberdeen. I remember as a teen, going to the Gap or to American Eagle was all the rage. I bet if Aberdeen got one of those stores, they would do very well. Perhaps the shopping power of teens and young adults is underestimated by the town? Or do those stores have regulations against where their stores can be located? You'll find the basics that you need just not the variety. And hit up Taco Johns - they don't have those on the West Coast and that makes me sad. Can you say "potato ole?" Bottom line, if you live in Aberdeen and want a better mall, do something to make it happen. And if not, then appreciate what you have because it could be worse - you could be without a Bath and Body Works and THEN what would you do??.
