BUYER BEWARE! When I received my order there was a sheet of…read moreinstructions with 2 choices for returns. I started the return process per the instructions for the "QR code return to a drop off place with no label or box". I got a response my item was not eligible for return, so I called customer service and was told they couldn't provide a QR code right now and that I had to do the "pack, label, and ship" method. The shirt came in a plastic bag which got ripped when opening, and got tossed, so have to purchase a container to ship it back, pay a $9.95 return fee, lose the shipping cost and sales tax, AND wait up to 72 hours for a label to be emailed to me. So this shirt I am returning is costing me at least $25 to return. I told them I would never order from them again. I think I will take it to a resale shop or just donate it somewhere. Lesson learned.

Staff were so friendly and helpful; this is really what you want in a shopping experience. I fall at the bottom of their size range and because of my height sometimes have a hard time finding clothes that fit, but I found two beautiful coats (one a Tall!) and an amazing dress, and the total for these three items was less than $130, which is what a new coat might cost at Land's End (the brand of one of the coats I bought here)! I will definitely be back, and will check out the second shop in Rockford when I'm there for the Japanese Gardens. Helpful hint: my GPS told me I had arrived but I didn't see the sign and so circled the building needlessly: it's in the window!

Staff was very helpful and nice, and we both found a bunch of stuff! Their prices are very affordable: I got three dresses, a skirt, and a top for sixty bucks! You can't beat it. They also do consignment for items that suit their needs. Definitely worth a visit!

She called me and said there was a long line at Zara & she was near the front of the line. Out of curiosity I moseyed on over. We found out that Zara has their annual sale this time of year in January. Evidently a lot of people knew about looking at the line outside of Zara waiting to get in. When I got there she was a couple of people from the front (great timing). It's not like I needed anything but I thought what the heck why not take a look. When we got into the store I quickly looked around the store front to back and noticed that they had nothing but women's clothes? I asked someone if they had men's clothes. They mentioned that the men's section is on the other side of the cased opening. As I perused the clothes, shirts (don't need any), pants (don't need any), coats (don't need), Just kind of killing time while my wife was shopping or so I thought. That's when I saw a long hooded winter coat. I have a heavy wool coat that I use when I get dressed up and play adult to go out but it's seen better days. I wanted & needed a long warm winter over coat. I found a coat that I really liked and best of all the price was reduced to $69.99 reduced $100 from the original price. The only problem was the zipper was jammed & wasn't working properly. I tried 3 different coats before finally finding one that works. I did find a salesgirl named Adi that was very patient & helpful w/trying to find a coat w/a zipper that worked. When we came out of the store there was a long line of people trying to get in. Like I said this was the first time I had ever been to a Zara store, but I'm glad I stopped in despite the issue w/the zipper I managed to buy the coat and at the same time I saved $100

This store's staff is 75% of the time helpful, kind and happy to assist. The other 25% of the time, it's like they would rather be anywhere but there working. The quality of their clothing has gone down hill and not just a little...I mean, we have gone from jeans that would last me for years to "I think I could get the same quality at Walmart!" bad. Their corporate customer service is an absolute joke. If you have ever dealt with these script-reading-couldn't-care-less-about-the-customer fools, you know what I'm talking about. Bottom line, it's hard to find clothes that fit just right or lay just perfectly for a plus size woman and Lane Bryant used to fulfill the need in this industry that was severely lacking but much like other industries, I imagine, the cost of materials has increased, so they find ways to cut back and at the cost of customers, no less. I don't care what anyone says: you cannot buy clothes online! At least I can't. So if it's the convenience of online shopping that has affected this retailer or not, quality of the clothing and customer service is top on my list. Price is what it is. Lose the coupons, get your shit together and get back to the basics! I'm waiting but my patience is running out.

More people in your store won't do anything if your staff doesn't offer to help your in store customers. I asked 2 people for help and neither were helpful. I tried to ask someone if all the sizes were out and with her back turned to me, she barely muttered yes. I would have placed an online order, but decided not to based on my store experience today. Happy Returns decided that my order was a gift, and so would not allow me to get my money back, only a store credit. (Hello in there - even if it's a gift, if it doesn't fit, someone (the person who paid for it) should be able to get their money back.) Hmm. I call the customer service number. Rep says there's a discrepancy between my billing address and shipping address. I ask what the difference is. My name on one is Margaret M, and just Margaret on the other. My street on one is XXX Ave, and just XXX on the other. It's a pretty stupid system that can't figure out that the bill-to and the ship-to are the same person. Rep tries to start a return, and can only send a UPS label. I've read horror stories about that online, and so I hold on to the items until I can get to a store. I go to the store. No signage indicates that online returns are done at a little desk in the back of the store, but no problem, someone came up and told me where I had to go. Clerk lady tries to start a return, but can't do it, says it has to be sent to Dodgeville. I have to agree to this, there's nothing else she can do. I give her credit, though, she did try to help me. This is way too much to go through to return things. I've been a Lands' End customer, off and on, since the '80s, but no more.

I'm not a great shopper. I'm more used to wearing old bleach stained shirts with(unintentional holes). I was a bit out of my element, and slightly embarrassed. Both woman made me feel immediately welcome and at ease. They started by asking me some questions about my general style (non-existant)and what I thought I'd feel comfortable in. They both got to work pulling various items, like experts, with ease, and neatly placing them in a dressing room. They helped me through out the entire process. They made me feel comfortable, not rushed or pressured. I ended up buying several pieces, that I was thrilled over, and in addition, they happily help additional pieces I wanted, but wasn't able to purchase until the next day after I got paid. My one and only little downside, was I did feel the cost of the clothing was quite pricey. Unfortunately, that will keep me from being able to frequent the store as frequently as I truly would like.
