This five-star review is for Ariane, the customer service associate...NOT the JAB Schaumburg location. I emailed my review to the customer service department. Within five minutes of receiving the email, Ariane called me. She received additional feedback from me. She was able to resolve my situation immediately. Since I had an unfavorable experience, she was able to ship the sportcoat directly to my residence. Ariane took a bad experience and turned it into a positive situation. My experience started out great. Brother and I stopped into a few places to get suits for a wedding (4 total). We received the best service and assistance here.....unfortunately that where the good ends. Two weeks after our initial visit I went in to order the suits. This part of the process should have been easy except all of the info (for sizes and style) could not be located. Finally worked that out and ordered the suits. I was supposed to receive a phone call telling me they were in....never got the call. I called twice and found out they never ordered them.....then they finally ordered them (except they couldn't get one in the proper size)...got them in a few days later (again I had to follow up, they didn't call me). 4 suits are in, 2 of the suits need to be shipped to other stores for the other gentlemen standing up in the wedding. Again, they dropped the ball, didn't ship the suits. Thank goodness I stayed on the ball and kept following up. Supposedly the suits were to be overnighted to the two locations...again that didn't happen. A few days later they finally made it to the proper locations. Once the suits were in the alterations could be done...and they were ready in time... But I am very disappointed that we ordered these suits way ahead of time, but if I wasn't diligent in constantly following up we wouldn't of had the suits in time for the wedding. Not the type of service I expected. I won't be back and I'd recommend going somewhere else. read more

I have more suits and sport coats from Jos A than I'd like to admit. Over the past years they have intro'd the new Joseph Series which has slimmer lines, side vents, higher side pockets and pick-stitched edges...it's fantastic, but at a price. Good thing is that Jos A is constantly running some sort of special so wait for the right time and then take advantage. Service and tailor department is adequate, if not a bit stodgy and lackluster at times....in a world where change is the only constant, they need to step it up in this department, which is why I had to knock off a star. read more

Brutal. The staff acted as though I was a bother. Limited sizes and they try to steer you to some website and send to your home if they do not have it. I understand the customer service here, but why not maintain an inventory that you can see? With all the inventory control software out there, retailers have no excuse anymore. Ok. I went back and guess what??? Same horrible service! How are these people paid? I am guessing hourly as they acted like making a sale was not very important to them.. bunch of clowns. read more

I was in here about late December, and Aapril Bobo, the store manager (I believe) helped me out with some of my stuff. She was extremely helpful with everything I needed. I had ordered the wrong size of pants online and when I came into the store to get it fixed, she understood my situation and knew what needed to be done. On top of that, she even re-measured me to make sure I got the correct size so there wasn't another error. She was really pleasant with her service and extremely helpful and helped me with a smile. Very pleasant atmosphere and the customer service was phenomenal. And as for the suits, they are the best bang for your buck hands down. I have three suits from them and I just love wearing them. Unfortunately, they don't have a store here in Hawaii, but I will be coming back to this store whenever I'm home in IL :) Excellent customer service, excellent store, and excellent suits. read more

The moment I walked in I felt welcomed and invited. I briefly described what my style was and what I need a suit jacket for and the gentleman took my measurements and pulled out one suit jacket. It was flawless fit and the style was modern and sleek. I was very impressed with his ability to not only choose a great fit but incorporate my personal taste in the suit. I'm not the type of person who enjoys shopping for suits. However, I do have a very particular style that I do like - slim modern fit, nice material, etc. I gave this place a call and spoke with Matt. I described to him what I was looking for just to save time and to see it would be worth coming in. I certainly did not want to just start trying suits off the rack. Matt quickly identified what I was looking for and was able to finish my sentences on the phone. That was a major green light for me to come in and I'm glad I did. Long story short, I can't say enough awesome things about the customer treatment I received from this place and specifically from Matt. I now own the exact suit I've been wanting. I'd buy another suit from him in a heartbeat and highly recommend this place. read more

I had a suit shipped there from another store that needed to be altered in order to meet a strict deadline. The tailor did a fantastic job and i picked up my suit in plenty of time. I had a great experience with them and would highly recommend them!!! read more

The quality of the clothing is good. However the service at this particular location is poor. I have given it two stars but in reality I should have given it only one. About a month ago I purchased 4 shirts. They carry very few options in a particular size and so I decided to pay ahead and get them delivered. At $80 a shirt they still wanted to charge for home delivery so I decided to not pay that fee. In addition to the shirts, I was interested in a rain coat that was located in my size (XL) at a different store. They were gonna have it transferred over so that I could purchase it once the shirts arrived. They were supposed to call me to notify me once the items had arrived. Well it's been a month and no phone call. I called today only to realize that the shirts are in and that nobody is even aware of a rain coat. The representative claimed that the individual that took my order no longer works there. Thing is ... I never told her who it was. read more

This is for the Algonquin location but they didn't have an entry for it, so I'm using this one, and this is an indictment of the company as a whole anyway. Their salesmen are more sleazy than any you will find. Their sole purpose is to separate you from as much of your money as possible. Their 2 for 1 sales or whatever are designed to sell you their cheapest, China made suits they have and overcharge you. They even charged $135 per suit for tailoring. When I returned to get the suits, the tailoring was the absolute worst hack job I've seen. They then had the nuts to say they would re-do them "for a fee". Will never ever buy anything from Jos Bank again, total rip off scheme. read more

Worst customer service. My fiancé and I are getting married in October, we went to this location to see what they had to offer. First off the salesperson smelled so bad of stale cigarettes I almost puked. His suit was so mismatched and wrinkled and not professional whatsoever. There's the first impression... the 2nd question we were asked was "are any of your groomsmen larger or extremely overweight?" Are you kidding????? Not to mention when my fiancé (who is by no means overweight) said no, I would say they're mostly my size... the salesperson said "oh yeah I think we have something that would fit you..." What is supposed to be a fun thing turned into more of a task... save yourselves the hassle and go to Formally Modern down the road, much better customer service. read more

My fiancé and I walked in and we were approached, we stated we were looking for something for engagement pictures. They showed us one shirt. We stated that's not what we are looking for and then he decided not to help us any longer. You are better off talking to a wall. Very snooty employees. We found a shirt we liked but decided we didn't want to give them our money and walked out! Would never shop here again. read more
