When I first moved back to New York I was walking a lot and needed a small backpack to carry with some food. I spotted a pretty flowered cloth backpack in a pharmacy window. It was a exclusive old school pharmacy on the West Side. I went in to inquire. I figured it would be costly. I was treating myself for Mother's Day! It was $75.00 and that was 18 years ago. The quality of the bag is great. I read the tag which had instructions for caring for the bag. It's washable. I've thrown it in the washing machine and the colors did not fade for many washings. The stitching holds up too. I love to use it in the Spring. I'm sad looking at my bags that are not getting used. I never go anywhere in the Covid Winter. Since that time 18 years ago I purchased many Vera Bradley bags and wallets. I gave a couple to Goodwill recently since they weren't as functional as they were when I purchased them. The style was no longer suited to the size of my phone. I'm posting photos of the ones I still use. I'm not crazy about most of the patterns of material. The style and convenience of the pocket placement is what appeals to me. Plus the lightweight material doesn't add to my load. I appreciate the adjustable strap. I like the matching change purse and metro card holder too. My favorite is still my flowered backpack!!
