Nice neighborhood barbershop. 8 chairs, 4 barbers (including Mauricio). I had about 5 people ahead of me (not including those already in the chair), and it took about 30 minutes to get into Mauricio's chair. Excellent haircut. Actually asked how I wanted my hair cut and he did as requested. Best haircut in long while. Will definitely return. read more

Waited almost an hour for a haircut. Cost $25 with 20% tip. Had haircut by the guy the end of the row. Awful and I'm actually sad-upset at how badly it turned out. Not even angry, just sad. In short, I have longer hair, wavy (kind of 80s retro/surfer cut)... and I left looking like Curly from The 3 Stooges. My barber seemed new and if you're a customer to this shop, the end of the line is what you get (this was my second and FINAL haircut here). I'm Latino and even I didn't feel welcomed here (maybe it's because I don't live in Palm Bay). The barber spent most of his time trimming around my ears and using a razor blade to do all this detail work I didn't ask for. I asked, in part, for it to be thinned out, but he never once used thinning sheers. I asked for the sides to be brought in and they are still poof'd out (I have thicker hair). Why I tipped I have no clue but I'm so bummed my hair looks like $H!T for an Independence Day party I'm attending and that I'll have to fork out another $25 on Friday to try and get it fixed with another shop. read more

Just left and extremely upset, said don't cut the front I like it long so what's he do cuts the front cause he wet it and it curled and he just chopped 3 inch off front most important part to me said don't cut it twice showed a pic a few times. My coupon for $7.99 at the hair cuttery had expired. First time in a barber shop, with my 4 year old. Needed a haircut prior to school pictures next week. Crazy long wait (I guess all the men want to look good for the weekend?) Mauricio has lots of toy Cars for the kids to play with. Edgar cut my son's hair (who hates haircuts, by the way). He was quite good and really tolerant and patient with my little man. All haircuts are $14 which I feel like is a lot for a kid cut? But I haven't proved Kid cuts since moving from Seattle a couple years ago so maybe I'm mistaken. Definitely would bring him back though. read more

Mauricio's guys do a nice job taking their time and making sure they get it right. I've taken my boys to a few places in town and this is one place that will trim my boys hair short enough without complaining about they're to young and won't sit still (they were 6 first time we went). My kids are well behaved and know how to sit still for a haircut if you give them a chance. Just makes me think that other barbers around town don't understand or know what a high & tight is. Also got a good beard trim there for myself. Jose really trimmed it up nicely and listened to what I wanted. I was referred to Mauricio by a friend at work after my barber retired. I looked everywhere for a barber that could do a regulation Marine Corps flattop. When I first walked in to his shop, Mauricio greeted me with a huge smile and was very happy to hear that I was referred by one of his clients. I now get a hot towel shave and a flattop every time I go in. The shop is always clean, with an air of 50's / 60's nostalgia. It is always busy, definitely not the place to go if you are in a hurry; these are professionals who take their time and do it right. The feel of a straight razor hot towel shave and a flattop with the hand massager is an experience that most Marines will remember well. I have never seen an old-school barber take so much pride in his work and his team than Mauricio. I leave his shop feeling PHYSICALLY and mentally better. I suggest you report to Mauricio asap if you are in need of a true gentleman's barber. read more
