***UPDATE All it takes is one person to drop the ball. I have been a customer here for many and many years. Before I arrived I called to see if I needed an appointment because I know how busy this place can get. I walked in about 5pm and talked to the front desk help named Lucy. I told her I wanted to do my taxes and gave her a specific person I would like to do them with, She told me to have a seat. After 45 min of waiting I go back up to the window and ask if I'll be seen or if they will be taking my paper work from me to get my file started. The other front desk girl said "unfortunately we aren't seeing anyone today." She gave me the options to leave my paper work and they will call me back when they work on it. At this point I was so upset because I was told to sit and wait for nothing and funny thing the gentleman that was being helped at the moment by Lucy said out loud "yeah she forgot about me as well, I waited 2 hours". As a courtesy they said I could be seen anywhere between 7pm till midnight, you must be crazy if I'm gonna wait till midnight to pay over $150 to have my taxes done. Mind you they are asking people to leave their paper work, they will call you back and all you have to do is come in to sign it but they are also seeing people in the office because you can clearly see people coming in and out of the office's and waiting in the hallways to be seen next. I replied as nice as I could and said unfortunately you guys have lost a customer, I will never be returning to do my business here and you can let Martha and her daughter Jessica know that I'm very disappointed that every year this get more and more unorganized and very unprofessional, the girl looked at me and said "OK, bye" Sad to say this place is all about making money (cash business) so they can care less if they lose a long time customer. The person who does my taxes knows her stuff. However, a hugh negative point is they don't keep up with their appointment times, they'll call you the day of to rearrange or cancel you. If I could rate with zero stars I would. Honestly the people on the phone are rude and unprofessional. I was told an appointment time and waited 90 mins in hold for my tax lady. I waited and Martha finally did my taxes. She was very kind. My taxes were filed incorrect and I did not get my state return. I contacted them to let them know and it took 2 weeks to get them to fix the issue. I asked for them to email me the documents showing the change and they said the would . I called every day for 2 weeks trying to get the email and nothing. The girls are rude on the phone and never would let me talk to Martha. A year later finally got my email and I am still waiting on my 2020 state return. Smh ! Run! Don't believe the reviews. read more

Second year I have done my taxes with MAV Service and both times it has gone fairly smoothly as far as the wait. I know they have a lot of customers but if you sign up ahead of time and bring your correct documents it goes by fast! At MAV I feel like I am getting the best return possible, they always go into depth about the possible deductions and other important factors regarding my taxes. Thank you so much for all your hard work. Very friendly staff and helpful. We got our refund within in 5 days and the price to file them was well worth the outcome. Jessica did a wonderful job. Yes they get very busy so my husband dropped off our paper work and a few days later Jessica called and did them over the phone then we went thin to pay and sign the paper work. You do have to have patient they are crazy busy but that's because of the great service. Very well organized when we went in to pay and sign we went in and out in about 15 to 20 minutes. When it comes to keeping an appointment this office just took 7 hours to just have me seen to prepare my documents. My appointment was at 3 pm it's now almost 9 pm and I haven't been seen. There has to be a better way of doing business. I undestand being in tax season, do understand that not everyone has time to waste. Yes we have to have our documents prepared and understand the timely way those have to be prepared. I've heard so many good things about this place from my sister who's a long time client. This weekend I decided to give it a try. Apperantly they are extra busy during tax season so it was recommended I sign in a night before. (A Clip Board with a sign in page) is left hanging outside the door. I signed in on a Thursday Night & I was the 1st - on Friday Morning I signed in & was greeted by the receptionist lady. Very nice lady by the way. My sister said I must do business with MARTHA who apperantly is the Brains of this operation. However that particulat day Martha wasn't in... But Jessica her daughter was. Jessica is very Friendly, extremely knowledgeable & made me feel at ease. She help me file my taxes, answered all my questions & went beyond her duties to help me... I must say Im extremely satisfied. I've already recommended her to all my family & friends who are doing taxes elsewhere. STOP WASTING TIME & MONEY & DO YOUR TAXES HERE. Horrible service !!! I was referred by a Family member and I am so disappointed I. My partner had a Similar experience.The service they provide is so unprofessional. I dropped off my Taxes in April and all I get is the run around, every time I call the receptionist Gabby or Adrianna say "Martha said she will call you today " The day goes by no Call from Martha. There has been numerous calls to this business with the same response and the same result. Martha be professional and own what you say. I understand you are busy but your office should be calling clients back to keep them in the loop. If you don't call the day you say you will, why don't you call the next?? I don't know how you run the business is there a process? Or just random.? Poor customer service and lies. I finally decided to pick up my paperwork and go else where not worth the stress of having to call them constantly and get the same result. That is not caring for your customers.
