Maven came highly recommended by the The Best Restoration folks who started the cleanup and damage mitigation work. Maven provided the best contractors for each area of work and everything was completed with high quality results. Leith and Ryan of Maven handled everything, carried the payments of contractors until insurance covered costs, and although the extensive damage took over a year to complete , with permits and inspections, to complete, the results were excellent. Two representatives from this company came to my home to estimate a complete kitchen remodel for what we thought was mold. One talked us into filing an insurance claim since the cost would be over $10,000. We placed numerous calls to both of those men and left eight messages for the owner over a 2-1/2 month period. Wasn't until we left a message saying we would be calling the BBB did the wife finally return a call. This woman actually told us they ONLY work with insurance companies even though her own project manager and insurance expert representative that was at the home never - NOT ONE TIME ever said that NOR does their website. If you're reading this review because you just walked into a major water, fire, or mold issue with your property, pick up the phone and call Leith and Ashley at Maven Construction ASAP. My wife and I recently had a second major water damage claim caused by negligence from our previous restoration contractor; I'm happy to say we made the correct decision this time around. The owner Leith came in and got right to work, mitigating further damage to our home and starting the restoration process. Leith and his devoted team carefully wrapped and packed our belongings up and moved them into safe, climate controlled storage before the demolishion and remodeling began. Leith the owner was at our home nearly every day and truly took a hands-on approach to ensure the job was done in a timely fashion and was completed to our satisfaction. He is also an expert at dealing with homeowners' insurance, especially given our situation. I really can't recommend Maven Construction enough. If this wasn't enough, several months later on the 4th of July a huge tree near our property line fell on my neighbor's garage, damaging their roof and totaling one of their cars. The owner Leith was there within 30 minutes, chainsaw in hand. While he could have been at a family barbecue for the holiday afternoon, he spent his Saturday working to mitigate and repair another home disaster. Dishonest and expensive. Ended up paying WAY more than originally told. There was some new "unexpected problem" around every corner. Unexpected problem + more money out of pocket. This was a simple restoration job in my laundry room and garage. They ended up charging me literally twice as much as they estimated for. If I could give them zero stars I would have. read more
