This review was really hard to write and although I have put this off for so long I have decided to go with it. Mavericks is a great clinic. The prices are low and the staff is great especially doctor Jenkins, she's not only passionate at what she does but she also knows her stuff. Rumor has it that she might be retiring soon which is a bummer. Even though the prices are great you should prepare to wait. I'm not kidding. Here's some of the details... I took my little guy here for surgery on my birthday to remove a tumor hoping it was benign. Turns out it wasn't and even though he started getting better right after the surgery he began his stages of decline soon after. It wasn't long after that we had to make an extremely difficult decision to put him down because it was selfish for us to put him through this and he took his last breathe here. His ashes are now sitting in my living room with his favorite toy next to it. I don't really want to get into details about what happened on his last day but the staff was great through this whole process and did the best they could to comfort my wife and myself. We cried like a big baby especially me. I still miss and love you Rambo every single day.

I had to wait for a while but it's understandable. They're very reasonable in price definitely going back.

I wouldn't take my pets anywhere else, they do care and will help you any way they can.

Unfortunately, I had to bring my foster kitten here for an emergency that resulted in euthanasia…read more This was extremely depressing for me as it was a traumatic experience and I likely planned on keeping him. However, my experience here was as swift and kind as possible. The staff treated me very well and were quick to explain everything they could to me and were transparent about any costs I might be responsible for and kept everything open to me. They didn't push anything and were very calm and understanding about this difficult time. When I brought my kitten in, they were extremely quick to take him to the back before I even gave them any information which I really appreciated. I would highly recommend them, they were very sensitive to this situation and gave him the love and care he needed before he passed. Thank you

The young lady was getting ready to leave for the night and she dropped all her stuff and ran out and took Stanley in and to the back for treatment. You can tell they all care about not only the animals they are treating, but the people as well. It was truly appreciated and I can not recommend them enough. Picture of my Stanley...

This is a group of compassionate doctors who can help you guide your pet through difficult times…read more I have used this office for my dogs chemotherapy. I found each doctor that I met to be kind and they all took their time explaining my options to me. They were compassionate and they were cognizant about the impact that the cost of treatment could have on a family. For us thankfully it wasn't as big a burden as it could be for some families. For reference for our type of chemotherapy treatment we were looking at approximately $400-$500 a week for a few months. The options that were given were given with prices so that we knew what we were looking at. They provide end-of-life services if you need it. They were kind and understanding and willing to listen to my discussion about non-medical treatments such as herbal remedies and other types of intervention. We worked together to use both chemotherapy and the non-medical interventions and so far so good. My little girl has outlasted every anticipated outcome. We are done with chemo although she is not cancer free and moving on to palliative care however, she's still hanging arou doing good and I attribute that in large part to the careful care that she received from SEVO. Thank you folks so much.

I unfortunately did not have a good experience at SEVO. Dr. Haas prescribed my dog the WRONG dose…read moreof oral chemo. Dr.Haas gave my dog a dose of oral chemo 10x too low. He was suppose to get 250mg and she gave him 25mg and it went unnoticed for an entire month, in which his liver tumors spread and grew. She wasn't really apologetic and acted like it wasn't a big deal. She said "well if the tumors grew on the right dose (once he was prescribed the correct dose the next month) then it wouldn't have worked away." My dog had a terminal diagnosis, hemangiosarcoma and was given 4-6 months so we chose chemo to give him a fighting chance because he was still full of life. He had 5 rounds of IV chemo and during that time I didn't feel like she cared about his well being. She often didn't even ask how he was doing or have time to speak to us after his treatments. She would call at the end of the day. One time the vet tech said she was "too busy and would call later" in which we found out that she has given him the dose of chemo even though she heard that he had developed a heart murmur( doxorubicin is known to cause heart issues) that should have been a joint decision to decide if he got that dose. To give you context, after I transferred his care to BluePearl, I spoke with his oncologist in person at every single appointment. She treated him like he had a terminal diagnosis and it didn't matter what treatment we did it wouldn't matter even though he had a great quality of life most days and kept fighting the cancer. She kept saying "he'll be fine until he's not." . Once his liver tumors were discovered and kept growing it was like she didn't want to treat him anymore and after the wrong dose of chemo was prescribed, I could not trust her anymore. During that last meeting she spoke down to me and I left feeling incredibly disrespected and belittled for my decision to try to keep fighting the cancer. I transferred his care to BluePearl Oncology and he lived an extra 3 months with different treatment options after finding the tumors. I fought for my dog until his last dying breath and that's what I would have expected from the doctor taking care of him. My dog was my everything and for him to receive the wrong dose of chemo during the most important treatment of his life is beyond devastating and incredibly heartbreaking. We look for guidance from medical professionals and I felt throughout this journey Dr. Haas lacked empathy, compassion and guidance. People should be held accountable for their mistakes. If this was a human being treated, it would considered medical malpractice. I mean just imagine if this happened to your dog or cat. I hope by bringing awareness to the mistake she made, it won't happen to another beloved animal.
