I took my vehicle there to have the sensors replaced in my tires. Very reasonable price since my vehicle is a BMW. I was very happy with the work. They did note on the paperwork and did tell me that I would soon be needing a brake job because the brake pads were wearing very thin. And, that I would soon need strut replacements as well. When I got home, I talked this over with my spouse and we decided to go ahead and call them and ask them if they could do it now. They said yes, we have the parts we can do everything for you. We returned and dropped off my vehicle and they are just about finished with it and it was a couple hours because it was a lot of work. I'm extremely happy with the service and the quality and the good price that they gave us. I highly recommend Mavis tires and brakes on mariner Boulevard. I came to Mavis bc it's closer to my house. Unfortunately, I had my oil change with no problem the first time. Second time I wanted to get an oil change and a price on tires, I ended up buying the tires and he told me my battery was going low, So, he talked me into replacing the battery. The 3 rd time I came in for an oil change, he rotated the tires bc I had just replaced them 2.5 months ago and he told me I will need to replace my rear brakes right away bc they could freeze up on me. I go the oil change and wanted to double check with Tires Plus bc I have been using them on my cars fit the past 10 years. I brought my car into Tires Plus and they told me I have another 20,000 miles on my brakes and told me I was safe. Now today my left rear tire was flat so I always believe in having everything I need, I had bought fix a flat when my car was less then a year old. I own a 2020 Lexus 300 NX. When I realized I had a flat, I put the fix a flat in my tire to make it back to mavis. My tire is was under warranty they told me for 60,000 miles. Anyway, now they tell me bc I put the fix a flat in the tire it cancelled the warranty. It's funny, they never said don't use fix a flat or it voids the warranty. I don't trust these people, I don't believe I needed a battery that cost me $250.00, then they tell me I immediately need to have my rear brakes done and that was NOT true. Now they are charging me $145 for a tire that was under warranty. If you go there, I wish you the best, it seems to be that was trying to sell you something. read more

They did no actual work on my vehicle but the service that they gave to me was honest, pure and relaxing to my brain and wallet. I told them I saw a metallic object in my tire and they pulled it almost right in to have a look see. The young fellow came back to me after possibly 30 minutes in there and told me that what I saw in there was a spiraled metallic metal shaving. No damage whatsoever to the tire. I was impressed with there in all aspects. I hope that I never get another tire woe but if so, I will go back to them. read more

One person in particular, the manager.. short over weight dude. "Not to be thrusted" at all. I called him up once I noticed gouges on the inner part of my rims. I said... I was in yesterday and one of your guys put Gouges and scratches in all 4 of my rims, and he's like... Yesterday, rims, gouges? And Im like... did I studder? He say bring it in to take a look, so I did. He admits he was the one who removed the balancing weights. Offers to take care of it for me by having someone he knows that does rim repair. As deliberate as those gouges and scratches look, no way in hell. And he say let me put it up on the jack to get a closer look and see if he can clean it up. What the hell? Brand new car, not one scratch (until) he got his hands on it. read more

I was very pleased with Mavis tires and brakes after my horrible experience with Walmart. I had ordered tires from Walmart and on two separate occasions. They texted me to let me know my tires were in and they were not. I gave up and I came upon Mavis tires. For about the same price. I got my two front tires replaced at what I would've paid at Walmart. I consider Mavis my new tire dealer. Great service and great product and great installers. I'll be back when I need more tires. I don't understand the bad reviews because my experience was 100% positive. read more

Today was my third visit to this location, and it will definitely be my last. The only reason I've come here in the past is that it's the weekend, and other tire repair shops are closed. Every single time, they've told me my tire was "unrepairable" and tried to sell me a new one. The first two times, I decided to get a second opinion elsewhere, and both times, another mechanic told me the tires were perfectly repairable. Today, I had two flat tires from commuting to Tampa daily for work. I already expected their response when I walked in. Sure enough, an hour later, they called to say I needed new tires. I told them not to touch the tire, went to Lube King and Auto on Anderson and Snow Road, and they patched the tire in under five minutes. The tire was perfectly fine! I can't recommend this Mavis location at all. It feels like they prioritize upselling new tires instead of offering honest service. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere. read more

Im tired of places stringing you along to get your business. I walked in and wasnt expecting to be brought right in so he told me to come back at 11 and will get me in. I had asked him about the time bc I had an appt to make. Then when I came back at 11. I get that it will be atleast another 30 minutes. I highly recommend this location! I called after having my valve stem snapped off in a car wash. The team didn't have my stem in stock, so they called another Mavis and arranged for me to pick it up. They didn't even charge me for the part! I took it to this location and they promptly resolved the issue! 10/10, highly recommend! read more

We had a flat out of town. Almost exactly 25,000 miles on car. Salesperson says treads worn out and would need to replace all 4 tires. "New car tires only get about 25,000 miles, he said. I asked him to show me but, upon inspecting car, it was obvious there was lots of life left on all tires. Then said I needed to replace because of imbalance with 4-wheel drive system if I only changed one tire. That could cost me $15,000, he said. Not exactly happy as I feel he was simply trying to get a much bigger sale. (Indeed, the dealer later confirmed it was probably not necessary.) Anyway, I am especially upset because I believe they did not balance tires correctly. Getting vibration on highway. Salesperson said it would take 1 hour but after 2 1/2 hours alignment check not yet complete. We left knowing we had been ripped off and that work wasn't done correctly. read more

They destroyed my oil filter housing on my Toyota Corolla. They will blame everything from rogue mechanics to leprechauns. Coming underneath your engine at night. I remember the mechanic looked Like he was going to cry. Because I came in at 430 on my way home from work. And they close at 5. These guys are a legit joke. Went in for a standard oil change and to get a plug in my tire. Almost 2 hours later and $130!!!!! not sure why this takes 2 hours!! Girl at the register had no idea what she was doing, how to ring up stuff and the guys in the shop just standing around. Walmart charges $20 to plug a tire. I could of went across the street for an oil change for $30. Never going back to these crooks again. Also asked if they had a veteran discount they said no and continued to talk shit about the store across from them that does oil changes and offers discounts to vets. I made an appointment for 10AM today. When I arrived at 9:55AM, they told me it would be at least two hours before they could even look at my tire and it would be better to just leave my vehicle there. WHAT WAS THE POINT OF MAKING AN APPOINTENT?!?! I left and told them I was going to another tire shop, they didn't seem to care one bit that they were losing a customer. I went to their competitor and they got me in right away with no appointment and had my tire repaired in less than an hour. read more

$14 labor on an oil change. Never heard of such a thing! Plus $4.95 for the oil filter and $2.50 shop supplies on the oil change. When you call and ask how much an oil change is and they say $74. It should be $74. I guess the tire rotation is not free after all. Never going there again. read more

Worst experience ever! Set appointment, drove all the way there to be told they couldn't even service my vehicle that day. Why set an appointment if you can't even keep them? As a business owner myself I understand the labor shortage these days. No biggie, rescheduled my appointment for two days later. Came back to have matching tires installed on the front of my service van as I had another location replace the rear tires already. I wanted a matching set. They pulled van out to me when they were finished to find they installed a totally different set on the front. Asked the tech that did the work why were there different tires installed? " That's what my manager told me to do. I just do what I'm told to do ". Baffled I asked the manager why they installed tires I didn't ask for, he replied he didn't know as the same tech walked in the door. When the manager asked him why he did this, his response was " I couldn't find those tires"! Totally different story he just gave me outside. The manager made him go back up and get the proper tires and reinstall them. I also paid for a front end alignment, ha what a joke! My steering wheel is nowhere near straight, and my service van is worse than how I brought in to them. I just paid my bill so I could end this nightmare, a few miles down the road I look at my bill I got that I never even seen until after swiped my card and found charges for tire pressure monitor sensors that my van isn't even equipped with nor did they install. Made the mistake of going there for a tire. while waiting the 2 1/2 hours, they said I needed a power steering flush. I said ok. They later said no, as my car (a Toyota Camry) had electric steering do didn't get flushed. several days later, I looked at the receipt and saw I'd been charged $79.99 plus fees and taxes for the flush. When I called the manager I was told I needed to return to the store for refund. Today I sat at the store for over an hour while they "called corporate" for refund approval. I was finally advised to go home and they would call me when they heard back. It's now 4 hours late. No call. I contacted the 800 number listed on receipt. It's obviously some guy sitting at home. He put me on hold for 5 minutes then disconnected. I called the store again and was told they were "still waiting." WARNING!! DONT GO THERE!!!! (They'd also just left all the spare tire tools etc in my trunk, didn't bother putting it away). read more
