I would really like to thank Mavis Tire & Brakes on Little Road in Hudson. They totally went beyond to help me. I was at my Pastor's home picking up some packages that were delivered while they are gone. For some odd reason I put my keys on the lid of the bed of the truck. I lifted the lid and before I could react, I heard the keys slide between the bed and cab of the truck. I couldn't see them on the ground or anywhere. I had a friend come get me so I could get my spare keys, and I went to Mavis to see if they could put it up on the lift and see if they could find them. Kamron and Eric both looked and finally reached up and felt around and sure enough there they were!!!!! I want to say thank you so much to these 2 guys and their great business for helping me out. I wanted to share my recent experience at Mavis Tire in Hudson, FL. On December 22nd, I drove from Boca Raton, FL to Hudson, FL, a 4.5-hour journey north to visit my sister over the Christmas holidays. Within an hour of my drive, my tire pressure warning light came on, which was quite concerning. Upon arriving at my sister's home, she highly recommended Mavis Tire in Hudson due to their excellent service and knowledgeable staff. She has always had positive experiences with this location. I made an appointment for the Friday after Christmas and was immediately impressed by the cleanliness of the location - you could eat off the floor; it was that spotless! Perry, the manager, was extremely knowledgeable, particularly with the model of my vehicle. He quickly identified that the issue with my tire pressure light was likely due to a tire sensor, and he was right. Fortunately, they had the part in stock and were able to replace it while I waited. While waiting, a very nice mechanic informed Perry that my vehicle was a quart low on oil. This came as a shock because I had just taken my vehicle to a Mavis location in South Florida the day before arriving in Hudson, and they should have informed me of this, so I'm very glad that the Hudson Mavis informed me. By the time I left Mavis in Hudson, my vehicle had been repaired and even test driven, which was very impressive. In addition to Perry, all of the employees at the Hudson location were incredibly kind, patient, and knowledgeable. I had a call with William in customer service and discussed issues. He was understanding and agreed with my concerns. He agreed to take it up with "John" Regional Manager. I suggested I was willing to pay but expected some concessions on price. John called back and defended their work with no regard for my time or issues. I interrupted him to say they didn't need to check other 3. I was rude but even worse customer service. He also interrupted me several times. I would never recommend Mavis to anyone. read more

Stay away from this place! I took my car in a month ago for overheating because the check engine light came on. There was plenty of Radiator fluid in the reserve, so I thought it was low on oil. I put 3 quarts in. After they inspect the car, they said it was a crack hose that the radiator fluid was not getting into the radiator. They made the proper repairs and I told them to make sure they empty 3 quarts of oil before I pick up the car. They ensure me it was done!! Literally a month later oil got into cylinder three and the car had half power and all kinds of light came on , check engine light, stability light, traction control light. I brought the car back to them, told them that the oil was still in the engine and explain all the issues I just had because of it. Barry called me and explained all the issues and all the repairs that needed to be done including the water pump and he said that the oil level was fine. A coincidence all this happened a month later!! Barry also said that he didn't wanna work on the car and just put a Band-Aid on it And he wouldn't touch it unless I did all the repairs which was a total of $2400.!! When I brought the car back the manager, Mark, Barry, and Larry were all there and not one could make eye contact with me! Very unprofessional and signs of guilt all over their face!! I took it to the dealership where we bought the car, they fixed the problem and said to much oil when Barry just said oil was fine!! Repairs were done at the dealership with a couple other things that were not on Barry's estimate and the grand total was around $1100.. ZERO stars. I've purchased tires from Mavis for my truck, car, and travel trailer. I've had a couple very poor customer service experiences and I can no longer give them my business. Having planned to buy new trailer tires I was told they were in and set up and installation date and time. I showed up with the trailer and was told the tires were not there after being told they were. Very inconvenient having hooked up the trailer and making plans. They did get the tires in a few hours later and told me to come back. Mavis had 2 days to order in the tires and they should have known they weren't there BEFORE I drove down. Then on Aug 6, 2023 I take my truck in for a tire rotation after again spending nearly $2000 on tires. I drop the truck off so they can have it when time allowed them to rotate the tires. After 3 hours I called and asked if all was ok and if the truck was done. I was told "all good come get your truck". I get there and I see my truck is parked in the exact same spot. I walk in, the clerk grabs the tag and says "it's all done". I said "are you sure?" I had marked my rims with a blue marker before I dropped off the truck so I would know they were really rotated. When he said "yes the ticket shows they were rotated". I said let's walk outside and let me explain why I KNOW they were NOT rotated. I asked "how do you think I would know?" He said "you marked the tires?" EXACTLY! He said he would immediately rotate them. I said not a chance. Very frustrating to receive such POOR CUSTOMER service after spending thousands of dollars at Mavis. Sooooooo.... I call the corp office and "John" (who refused to give me his last name) says he's the area supervisor. My discussions with him went nowhere. I said "do you guys still want me as a customer?" He said yes but he did nothing but argue with me. I wanted to know what Mavis was going to do to keep my business and what was his plans for his employee lying with respect to service. John said I can't tell you what we will do with the employee. Fair enough, what's your plan to address the issue? I asked him to investigate and call me back. No return phone call. I went to Mavis as a "convenience" rather than driving to Costco. I SEE I MADE A BIG mistake because the amount of my inconvenience has more than made up for the time it would have taken to drive to Costco. Bottom line....avoid Mavis. It's not worth your time. I'd sooner go to Walmart. Terrible customer service and my next set of tires will be from Costco or anybody else except Mavis. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME THINKING ITS CONVENIENT. YOU WILL BE SORRY. read more

I have had a few bad experiences with many of the tire shops in the area. this place is the BEST!! they alway go out of there way to make sure you are satisfied. I had 2 flats in one day. the first one was "fixed" at another shop in the area. the second was FIXED here. the patch that the other shop provided on the first tire failed after a day and I kept losing air. frustrated with them not wanting to fix their poor work, I came back to MAVIS and they took a look at the patch that the other shop put on and they fixed it properly! have not had a problem since! I was in and out in 20 minutes. their guys actually take pride in their work and work as efficiently as possible even when they are extremely busy. read more

This team takes care of business. They even rescued a small child strolling the streets. I witnessed the care for the child until the police arrived. I am satisfied as a customer and member of the community. My Pirelli tires were close to a price match, and available much sooner than anywhere else. I will be a returning customer. read more

I went there to get my ac fixed and they told me to go get 200 dollars and a compressor and they would hook me up I said no I want warranty and I would just pay the 1300 and they only replace half the parts that I paid for and had to go there 6 diffent times to get it fixed I will never go there again period ac still not working I have now asked for a refund no response yet read more

On a Saturday morning, I went to my horse barn to prepare for a trip I was planning to make on Monday with my two horses. As I was checking my trailer one of my tires had slipped a belt and the tread was coming off! Being new to the Hudson Florida area, our friend recommended Mavis Tires and brakes. Don't buy tires with this company. I called what I thought was this location and I got a call center. They never identified themselves at call center and had me go all the way to Dunedin to pick up two tires and that manager was yelling and screaming that he didn't have any racks and nobody to put the tires on. So I called back to this location and this guy named Austin was the worst manager I've ever spoke to my life!! He had a serious attitude and I was upset because I drove all the way to Dunedin and back. he wouldn't even give me the price that they quoted me. He didn't want my business.
