I stopped in when I bought a 2008 KTM450. They got me all stocked up on parts and talked me into racing in their series called SECCA. After one race I sold that bike and bout a 2009 KTM250xc. These folks have gone above and beyond to keep my race bike running, and Im now in my second season. When I turn 40 in two years I am buying a newer bike from these good folks. Great dealership. Great salesman. The result was worth the 7 hour round trip! A quick report on my new Husqvarna Svartpilen 701. I love it! It is exactly what I've been looking for. I've always owned and ridden Thumpers, since high school. They have all been Dual Sports. But the older I get, the less I enjoy off road riding (especially, the deep, powdery sand in our area!) And I enjoy the occasional "get off," when riding in the woods, even less. I had been wanting to at least put my eyes on a Svartpilen - BEFORE I sold my Africa Twin, but the nearest Husky dealer is 3 1/2 hours away. Long story short (somewhat shortened) I sold the Africa Twin, drove to Pelham Alabama, test drove the Svartpilen and brought a new 2020 home with me. It has real Brembo brakes with Radial Calipers, a quick shifter (that I never thought I'd find useful - I was wrong about that) and several other premium features. It weighs 355 lbs, has 75 hp and it's a relatively small motorcycle. It has dual counterbalance shafts that do an incredible job of canceling out those big thumper vibrations and has a wide, flat, HARD seat, which is actually comfortably (it's a mystery) for 3 hour rides (and longer). It likes to wheelie, go around corners fast and even though it's not a superbike - it "FEELS" fast and it's comfortable cruising at 75-80 mph. Probably not most people's choice, but the perfect bike for me! I'm keeping my Goldwing for longer, 2-up trips. read more

Much much better costumer service, tried to by e bike at max cycle shop, paid, 2000.00 for it, did not have key, too home hour drive, tried to start but would not turn on, called service at max, they told me to do something, I did, did not work, brought bike back, waited an hour, asked if I could then swap bike out, they agreed, gave me another bike after 40 minutes, bike tech brought out, turned bike on and got an error notice, tech brought new bike back to shop, 2 hours later with no from max coming to tack with me, I wondered back into there shop, walked right past guy sitting at desk, he did say anything, saw tech working on bike, he looked a me and said he had never seen anything like this, he was very frustrated, at that pint, anther person who had witnessed that then jumped on my case and told me to get out of shop, them another big guy jumps in and escalated, the problem by also very harshly yelling at me to get out of shop, ended up asking for full refund, which they gave then me. I wanted to surprise my husband with something really special to celebrate his nursing school graduation, so after scouring Google reviews, I called Max Motorsports and picked out a Husqvarna 701 Enduro LR. We arranged everything over the phone, it was easy and quick, and Tom delivered it all the way to Atlanta the next day. Unfortunately, I hadn't realized that while my husband loves the LR, he had his eye on something more lightweight. We called Max Motorsports and they graciously worked out a deal with us, even though they were under no obligation to do so. They're a family-owned small business that isn't open on weekends purely to allow their employees to spend time with their families. I generally don't write a review, however my recent experience with Tom West of Max Motorsports, Pelham, AL. was so unique I'am compelled to share it. In my search I found a motor scooter that checked all the boxes. After checking with several Vespa dealers for the model and color there were none to be found. In my search I had the good fortune of meeting Tom, of Max Motorsports. After a lengthy conversation Tom walked me thru the purchase and arrangements to ship the scooter the 700 + miles. The price was fair and my interaction with Tom removed any anxiety I had for a long distance purchase. The trucker was delayed making his arrival on a day Max is closed. Tom came to the rescue by opening the dealership for pickup. My experience with Tom, and Max Motorsports was extraordinary. I purchased a 2018 KTM 250 XC-W from Max Motorsports in December 2017. I shopped other dealers and even the out of state dealers did not beat the out the door price. Since my purchase I've been back several times to buy supplies, oil, parts, etc. They have been extremely helpful and attentive at each visit. They will allow you to look around on your own when you walk in the door. I think this is probably intentional, as most people don't want a salesman following them around all of the time. As soon as you ask for help or walk up to the counter they are more than willing to help you or answer any questions you have. Their service manager has also been very helpful and knowledgeable. The bike I purchased is my first 2 stroke bike and he has answered all of my questions without hesitation. read more
