I'd like to leave my review about Maxim Hair Restoration. I had a great experience with the FUT procedure he performed. I worked with Phuong and Dr. Contractor at the office and they were superb. This is my second FUT procedure. The first one was done at Hair Club for Men 10 years ago but since then they were acquired by Bosley and their procedure costs are outrageous. I met with Maxim Hair Restoration, Hair Club for Men (Bosley), Dr. Samuel Lam in Plano, and Dr. McGraft in Austin prior to making a final decision on who to go with. Dr. Abraham Armani charges $150 for an informal meeting to discuss hair treatment options so I decided not to go there. Dr. Joseph Yaker for Texas Center for Texas Center for Hair Restoration charges $100 for a visit to discuss options and I did not visit them either. I did my homework with costs, standard of care, and options for my second hair transplant and decided with Maxim because I felt they understood my expectations the most of the four places I met with and they were fairly priced for the procedure. I wanted to do an FUT strip procedure for the best outcome on graft survival and to save FUE as a later option in case I need a third hair transplant procedure in the future. They perform both procedures at this office. What I liked a lot was Dr. Contractor actually took time to speak with me at the initial meeting to discuss my concerns and what area to focus on. He matched my expectations with what he felt he could accomplish. I had a pretty big scar from my last FUT procedure 10 years ago and Dr. Contractor was honest and said there is a chance the scar could be bigger after but he would try his best to reduce the size. Well, a month after the procedure, the FUT scar is smaller than it was 10 years ago! Dr. Contractor took out the FUT stitches himself after 14 days. I followed his post-op procedure to a tee and I feel every graft implanted survived. The key is to not touch it at all during first 5 days even if it is itchy. I am happy with Dr. Contractor's work and all his staff during the actual procedure were professional and friendly. I would highly recommend him to any future hair transplant candidates. He was attentive and communicated with me well whenever I needed him for stitch removal and when I was getting propecia at the pharmacy. It will take about 9-10 months to have the grafts fully grown out. I remember this stage from 10 years ago and it's on schedule to grow as expected and in due time. =) read more

I am writing anonymously to keep my identity private, but I certainly want to publicly praise Dr. Contractor and his staff. I have had two previous FUT procedures from Bosley--my recent procedure at Maxim was, by far, the best experience I've had. From scheduling, to the procedure itself, to follow-up, Dr. Contractor and his staff were extremely flexible, gracious, and completely professional. They made me feel as if i were the only patient they had. In order to maintain my privacy, Dr. Contractor even agreed to drive an hour offsite to meet me to remove my sutures--that kind of patient service is unheard of. Dr. Contractor is an incredible surgeon and artist, and, whether it's your first procedure or your third, I recommend him without reservation. In addition, his rates are more reasonable than other places, so you get a better result at a lower price. If you're considering a hair restoration procedure in the DFW area, Maxim is the place to go. Dr. Contractor and staff are the best I've seen. Period. read more

Just had a 1800 grafts FUE procedure done at MAXIM Hair in Dallas 2 weeks ago. Amazingly, I am back to work now after few days!! Dr. Contractor patiently listened to my concerns and expressed his commitment to enhance my hair line and assured me of a natural result within 6-12 months. I had an excellent experience with Dr. Contractor and the nursing staff here at MAXIM. I did not have to take any pain medications after FUE grafts implanted into my front side. My donor hair area is healing very nicely. Dr. Contractor is a young experienced surgeon from a well reputable school in NY. He is very honest, reasonable priced and has great hands. Dr Contractor and his staff were incredible! I had the procedure about 6 weeks ago and everything went just as Dr Contractor indicated it would. I had approximately 1600 grafts and the process took about 7.5 hours. I did not experience any pain and did not take any pain medication after. Most of the grafts fell out over the following 3 weeks, just as Dr Contractor indicated they would. A few still remain. I will report back in a few months after the grafts are supposed to start growing. There have been a few ingrown hairs from the donor area as the hair grew back, again just as Dr Contractor indicated would happen. Overall the process exceeded my expectations and I couldn't recommend Dr Contractor and his staff any more strongly if you are considering the process! read more

Dr. Contractor is truly an artist. Best decision I have ever made. The entire experience was effortless and best of all painless! Once the initial numbing was over I was quick to fall asleep and only remember a short period of the procedure. I had questions and nerves to settle before hand and Dr. Contractors bedside manor was impeccably gentle and I could tell he loved what he did to change lives. His entire team was extremely effecient and were cracking jokes to soften my nerves from the start. When , I initially met Dr.Contractor I was little nervous as him being a very young Dr. I had my own apprehension but his gifted expertise won my confidence - his skills are top notch . He told FUT would be better option for my candidature, which I also got confirmed from other famous experienced Dr. I was amazed at the hairline that the Dr.Contractor drew was more natural .I had my procedure done last week,and everything went very smooth. I will start by saying that I 100% would recommend Dr Contractor. Every single one of my questions was answered, very straight forwardly. Phuong was very nice during my free consultation and calmed all the nerves and doubts I had. The staff couldn't have been any more kind and the procedure was very smooth and I personally think it went great. I'm excited to see how my end results will be like but only time will tell. Regarding the surgery and those free consultations, I highly recommend checking the place out. At least one should make time for the free consultation. There's not one question that went unanswered. I felt compelled to write a review for Maxim Hair Restoration after having an excellent experience with Dr. Contractor. The entire staff was very friendly and caring and I appreciate them ensuring that every aspect of my procedure went perfectly. I am very happy with the results and despite being nervous about strip surgery my scar came out amazing. It's barely visible and I experienced very little pain. More importantly, Dr. Contractor was able to harvest far more grafts than I imagined. He followed up with me several times to make sure I was happy. Dr. Contractor is one of best doctors I have ever met. His friendly conversation and hospitality provided me a great confidence about my surgery.
