Unfortunately didn't feel heard/acknowledged. I failed my glucose test with a few points. After checking the points, I called to ask about it since it's the first time I failed a glucose test out of my three pregnancies and they said that they could do virtual appointments so the doctor could go over the test with me. I made three appointments with them. The doctor either did not show up and had me wait 30 minutes or they just canceled it on me after that I called back to let them know and I never heard back it's been two weeks so I just decided to switch to a different obgyn I didn't want to risk being in a bad situation when having my baby.. read more

This doctor has an excellent bedside manner. Very informative and he explained and addressed all of my questions and concerns. I felt comfortable and reassured in the care of his practice. The office is clean and staff provides a friendly and safe feeling environment. There are bilingual and multicultural staff that are super sweet and helpful. They specialize in high risk and infertility OB/gyn. They are fast on call backs and prescription refills and appointment settings. They also work with all kinds of insurances and budget friendly. This place has me very concerned. They tried to charge me over $200 for my first OB appointment, stating that it helped pay for things ahead of time. My insurance clearly states I only am required to pay a specialist $50. They are asking for money ahead of time And this is unethical and should be reported to the Texas State department of health. I already plan on reaching out and letting them know this is not something they should be doing and they are taking advantage of those who don't know any better. This is coming from somebody who has a medical background and knows this is not right. I recommend staying away from this place if that's how they're going to do their business. read more

I've had nothing but great experiences here every visit. From check in to check out the staff is so friendly and pleasant! Dr. Maximos is cheerful and his assistant is super sweet. I was apprehensive about having a male doctor but his professionalism and bedside manner put me right at ease. I had an awful experience having an IUD placed in the past and let Dr. Maximos know prior to the procedure. He assured me he would be extra gentle and when he told me I could sit up I couldn't believe it was already over with! He definitely has a patient for life! read more

I was referred by my PCP. I arrived at the office and did have to wait a long time, but that happens at gyno, so I do understand. there was a dirty hand print on the wall. I have visited clinics in the past and been satisfied with the care I received, but this office looks dirty!!! The doctor was very nice-I'll give him that, but he administered my pap, but never felt my internal organs. I am going through menopause and he noted dryness. I told him I have been struggling with dryness all over my body lately. He sugg I could put petroleum jelly on my private parts or vitamin e oil. I would never put petroleum jelly on my private parts. The actual visit itself was rushed. After I left I started to read reviews online...and, then it all made sense. Today, I went to my pcp bc I developed pink eye-which I suspect I got from their office bc I used restroom 2xs. I shared reviews with pcp advising them of my experience. I was contacted regarding my Pap smear results. The office wanted me to pay $100 for virtual visit to explain results. I call BS. Then, they emailed results to me after I refused to pay. I booked an appointment with my former gynecologist which I will pay out of pocket for bc I wouldn't trust anything coming from this office. I will never go back to this doctor. I was 45 mins early to my appointment. New patient. Was not seen for over an hour after I arrived. Didn't even start my new patient forms till about 45 mins after I arrived. They did not take the time to verify my Insurance, so they made me pay the $100 office visit. Took the doctor over an hour to see me. And didn't seemed concerned that I was bleeding at 5 weeks. Took my blood and rescheduled my visit 2 weeks out. The ladies in the front had no idea what they were doing. It was filthy in the rooms. I would not recommend this doctor or his office to anyone. I verified my insurance within 10 mins and now they are not wanting to refund my office visit fee. Never called me back. Very rude! This office was referred to me by an old friend due to my and my husbands unexplained delay in conceiving. Most OB/GYN write you off unless it's been longer than 1 year in "young & healthy" couples. However, upon going in this morning.. not only did I have quick service and promptly called back, vitals taken, roomed, and seen by the APN in what felt like record time. However, the APN was wonderful, listening to me thoroughly before inquiring with questions of her own, was reassuring in offering all baseline testing options and got to work right away. The staff member that did my blood work was GREAT! Painless quick stick. And check out was a breeze as well. They had information I needed waiting at the checkout desk, and were so quick in getting me back for ultrasound & follow up for results of everything. It's like FINALLY a well oiled, functioning, kind, and efficient office! So thankful for my friends recommendation and looking forward to my patient/doctor relationship with this office. read more

1st off my review is solely on laser hair treatment. This is a doctors office that specialize in OB/GYN but, they offer laser treatments. I purchased a groupon & went only for 3 of the visits. I realized after 3 visits that the medical assistants that perform the laser treatments are inadequately trained. They are working under the physician license as long as one is available which they can in the state of Texas, but I was never seen by a physician or seen a physician during any of my visits. I have had laser many..times before at other facilities & know what to expect. First off visit 2 & 3 they entered the exam room without my chart asking random questions which If they had my medical records they would know the answers. One of my visits was at 8a.m. & the doors was not open. I observed her outside standing by her car smoking a cigarette & yes she was the one to open the door 10 min late & the one to perform my laser treatment smelling like a carton of cigarettes. Also, I go to check out & the front desk staff eating breakfast at their desk which was not professional. And no the facility is not too clean. Also, I noticed all the positive reviews are from staff member's & the recent pictures posted are of the facility but, quite old. I was originally led to believe I would receive prenatal care and birth care from the midwife who worked here. Then without notice all of my appointments were with Dr. Maximos or Dr Ahmed. I finally asked when I was going to see the midwife again and they told me that she had been fired and they didn't want her delivering babies. So then I started asking questions about my birth with either of them (it was my first one so I didn't know what to expect at all). I was basically dismissed and they both refused to answer my questions, saying that we could discuss my birth preferences or ask questions about what to expect in the hospital once I reached 36 weeks. They only told me that they would attempt to give me a natural birth but no guarantees. Talking to other moms, it seemed like they had a much lower rate of natural births than other doctors. Neither doctor spent much time with us during any of the appointments and finally when I was 35 weeks I decided to leave and find a midwife who was supportive of a natural birth and would provide real care. The midwife immediately noticed that my baby was breech (which Dr. Maximos and Dr. Ahmed failed to notice) and I had to take quick action to schedule an external cephalic version with a specialist. If I had stayed with Maximos OBGYN, the breech would've been overlooked until I went into labor and I would definitely been forced to have an emergency c-section. So thankful I trusted my gut and transferred to a better provider when I did. read more

I was about to start my third trimester when I began to see Dr. Maximos. I was devastated to be switching to a new doctor that late but my insurance forced me. He made me feel so comfortable from the very beginning. His staff was always kind and accommodated me on my appointments. I had two scares and he answered the phone himself after hours to tell me what to do. I was very nervous to give birth since this was my first, but Dr. Maximos was so patient with me and gave me the easiest delivery possible. I now have a healthy 6 week old baby. This place is a joke of Dr offices. I don't usually write reviews but I am beyond discussed with this place. I took the day off from work to get my well check up. when making the appt I gave all my ins info and made the appt for 1115am . I get there 10 min early to get paperwork done and get checked in to be told that my ins says it is not covered. Iknow it is because I got this office name from there website and I have a ppo so I can go anywhere. they call the ins company and I hear the lady say im covered at 100%. 10 min later they call me up and say they cant see me because Dr and nurses go to lunch at 12. it is 11:55 at this point. Not we can see u after lunch first thing ....just they cant see me. At this point I let them know that I work at another Dr office and know this is not how things are handled and she still says they cant see me. So I left and was proud that I didnt make a seen. But I wanted to. im almost homeand get a call from the office manager that called the ins and said she was so sorry and that it should not have been handled that way and she was miffed..... really? after I left! she tells me the Dr was not happy either and he will see me first if I come back. I've been going to Dr. Maximos for 9 years and he is absolutely the best! He delivered all 3 of my kids & always made sure that I was well taken care of. I'm sure he does get called out a lot for delivery so people need to understand that their is only one of him and he can't be in 2 places at one time. I give them 1 star because some of the staff members were very sweet. Other than that, I would NEVER go back. The toilet in their restroom had a ring around it, pee cup ring stains on the toilet paper towel holder. The equipment they use had what looked like dry blood, and some yellow crust in the base. Obviously the equipment hadn't been wiped down in months or at all. The pictures speak for themselves. Dr. Maximos delivered my first baby girl. Despite the bad reviews about the wait time and unprofessional staff I still took the chance. The first time I met with him he was really professional and nice and I felt some comfort. I did not meet with him again until I was in my third trimester which I thought was weird but my mom said it is normal for the staff to take over since they are busy taking shifts at the hospital and delivering babies. I was taken care by Mrs. Cynthia, I never felt rushed, never shamed me on my weight (she did tell me once to slow down) and always took her time to answer all my questions. I never was put on a hold for a long time while on the phone and the wait was never more than 5 minutes. I did make my appointments mostly in the mornings. Closer to my due date I felt like I was going into labor and they monitored my contractions for 20 minutes and said they were still very far apart and then Dr. Maximo came in and talked to me and asked what I was feeling saying I was probably close but not there and both him and my nurse helped me and never had a bad face always with a smile, he is a really smiley doctor. I felt really comfortable going into labor with him and I did have a scare once and got admitted to the hospital around 2 am and he came and talked to me both days I was there. A week after I had my baby girl perfectly healthy!! read more

Dr. Maximos doesn't even deserve a one star. When I was pregnant I decided to go with Maximos. The first 3 visits I saw him. I had to wait 1-2 hours in the waiting room every time. On my 4th visit I saw his partner. I did not like this doctor and requested to only see Maximos. So every visit after that when I would check in I would ask if Maximos was in and every time they said no he's in surgery you can reschedule and I did. It was a joke. I expressed my dislike to everyone for the other dr and no one seemed to care. I was scheduled for a c-section because I had had one before. I was ok with that. When I get to the hospital they do blood work and tell me my blood count is so low they don't know if they can operate. Well if Maximos would have done his job and actually showed up to my appts then maybe they could have caught that. I had to have a blood transfusion. After realizing that I needed to do something about my heavy flow during my cycles he recommended an ablation. I was ok with that. Made the appt and showed up. Waited 3 hours in the room because he was in surgery again. Once he showed up he gave me a shot for pain. Then he started the procedure. Mind you I was completely uneducated about this procedure. Did not have any friends that had it done at that time. He started the ablation and I felt every thing. I was screaming and he asked do you want me to stop. I'm like no I've gotten this far. He said 30 more seconds it was like 3 mins. I was in so much pain I was crying. He gave me a shot in my arm for pain. It didn't even touch the pain. As I was checking out the front desk person said were you the one screaming and I said yeah it hurt. Shame on Maximos for doing this procedure this way. I trusted him, he is the medical professional and should do it correctly. I've since had pain and will be having a hysterectomy in a few days. read more

Other than my marriage, Dr. Maximos has been my second longest relationship, I have seen him for all three of my pregnancies and he delivered my oldest and current youngest. If I have questions or concerns, Maximos or his staff answers them in a timely matter. Yes, I've had to wait a while to be seen before. But that happens, people before me have questions and they need answers too. When I am in a room and he comes in, am I given Dr. Maximos full attention? You bet! I honestly couldn't ask for a better OBGYN, if I have anymore babies, he'll be the first one I tell. The front and back staff have always been a pleasure to work with, front staff handles appointments, insurance, etc. Just make sure you have all of your information, and things will run without any bumps. All in all, they have been incredibly kind and helpful. I will admit, six years ago, I would not have said this, but since, they have really locked down a great and positive team! There is one thing is one thing I would like to mention. This in regards to Dr. Maximos and his growth over the last 8 years. He has changed but only for the better, 8 years ago he was like a newborn lamb, when he talked he almost whispered it. Let me start by saying, I HAD to give this place at least one star to post. I wouldn't have if given the chance. I am currently 16 weeks pregnant with my first child after a miscarriage and quite a few years of infertility treatments. By the grace of God, we were able to conceive naturally. With that said, my primary care doc referred me here and I ended up seeing Dr. Ahmed, his partner, once. I saw saw either her nurse or nurses' practioner the other two times. After my first visit, I was simply satisifed. My second and third visit made me want to change doctors. I have/had pretty bad morning sickness and they kept wanting to prescribe me meds that were Class C or worse and I was NOT comfortable with that especially after a miscarriage. It was also unsettling that I couldn't see the actual doctor after my first visit. Their staff was nice and all, but they all seemed either super fresh out of med school with little experience or not experienced at all which again was unsettling. The nail in the coffin came when I decided to switch doctors. I received a referral to someone at Methodist that came through family friends that I trust. They needed my records from Dr. Maximos in order to assess what kind of appointment I needed next in my pregnancy. No problem right? Wrong. Here is the tale of my 2 week process to get MY records. It begins with me having to take off work to go sign a release form; inconvenient, but okay. Then over the next week and a half or so, I continue to go back and forth calling to see if they've sent them and then calling Methodist to see if they've received them. Here is an array of what the staff of Dr. Maximos told me; "we're waiting for the doctor to close out some of your appointments," or "I will send them over as soon as we get off the phone," or "did you sign a release because we don't have one in your file," and then my favorite "i'm watching her as we speak fax them right now." After that last one, I called Methodist and the lady that had been helping me this whole time said she STILL hadn't received them. She asked me if SHE could call Dr. Maximos' office and of course I said yes. She called me back about half an hour later and told me she had FINALLY received them and they had told her they didn't have a fax number this whole time. Really? So they were lying to one of us. And I'm sorry, if your staff can't even be honest about something so simple, how can you trust them with your unborn child!? One more thing, during this trial, I had asked if I could just come pick up my records in person to alleviate all this back and forth, they said yes but that it would cost me $25 for the first 20 pages and then 50 cents for every page thereafter. Who charges for records!? I know for some people reading this may think this is petty, but when you're pregnant with a risky history, this is the LAST thing you want to deal with. It was frustrating and made me upset quite often. After all this, I don't recommend this place; not just because of the records thing, but I just truly didn't feel confident in my doctor's knowledge. read more

I had finished completing new patient forms and was trying to turn them in to the girl at the front desk but she was to busy texting. I waited over an hour before being taken back to a room. They told me to pee in a cup with no lid and walk it back to the opposite side of the doctors office. They check my blood pressure in an open area with no privacy. Dr. Maximos literally was in and out under 5 minutes. After all said and don't they called at the end of the business day and told me Tricare Humana did no cover my birth control and to go to a different doctor. I wish I could give negative stars. Today I went to this place because my former gyno recently moved her practice. This place was close to me so I decided to give it a try. When I called to make the appointment I got hung up on twice. The outside is a dump, it's next to a smoke shop and Pizza Hut. The inside wasn't too bad but when I went in they said my appointment wasn't until the following day. I wrote down my appointment date and time while I was on the phone with them MAKING THE APPOINTMENT). I go in the next day and fill out paperwork (which has slang terms on it: example: do you do crack? When was your last mensies ?) wtf? They end up denying putting me on birth control (that I've been on for 5 years) because I drank an energy drink before I went in and my heart-rate was elevated. Even after I told them this they tell me to come in next week (so you can get paid twice?). Then as I was leaving, stating to the clerk I would find another doctor, I overheard the doctor sarcastically mocking me to the nurse! Extremely unprofessional! I don't know how this practice stays open. My suggestion? Find a doctor with more than ONE decent review before going in. read more

Dr. Maximos is wonderful doctor with an amazing bedside manner, always smiling! I've been a patient for about 8 years and his bedside manner is always the same, always takes the time to answers all my many questions. He was the doctor that discovered my hypothyroidism with a tsh over 50 and started my road to recovery. One week ago today he did a hysterectomy with anterior and posterior repair and I am already feeling so much better! I'm wishing I would've scheduled this years ago when he recommended. Absolutely awful!! The staff and nurses are impossible to deal with. It took three weeks to get a prescription called in and filled for me. That was for morning sickness, which is was struggling with greatly. I was sick all day and night every day until I was ten weeks along. So taking three weeks to get my prescription called in, is unacceptable! After being fed up with that, I decided to switch doctors. I have found a new office, with wonderfully staff and the doctor here is amazing (Bassem Tawadrous). So I get to this new doctor appoint and they fax off a request to have my previous labs and records sent over, five weeks later when I come in for my next appointment I find out they still don't have them!! When I called over to the office, all they could say was that I must still be on the waiting list of people needing paperwork faxed.... Seriously?? Do not go here! read more

The tech was very nice and patient but there is no way she can do her job on the antiquated equipment in this office. The machine does not take the pictures/video you are expecting for the cost. I was so disappointed! Save your money or go elsewhere. Also, it is worth noting that they are running an offer on Groupon which claims to save you $100. Don't go to this place even if you have to drive 2 hours to go to another Dr. There is absolutely no respect for patients here. My appt was at 9.30 and I was there at 9.15 and around 10-15 people were already there and ahead of me and the funny thing is they start working at 9! They accept too many people as they dont care how long people should wait! I was in the middle of my school's exams and extremely busy. If I did not have a lot of pain I wouldn't go that time. The funny part was when I got there they told me the doctor is in a surgery and would not be here today. His assistant will see you! They charge the same amount of money for the assistant! Is it fair?! Is it legal at all? I got there at 9.15 and got in almost 2 hours later only after I started complaining several times! Then they asked me yo sit in a room and wait. I waited for another 10-15 min and then I started complaining again that I m missing my exam! The assistant said do you want to leave for the exam and come back later? What? Are you serious? I love this place!!! You walk in it smells good they have a tv to occupy your time it's also across from Pizza Hut if you get hungry. The staff is super friendly they make conversation with you help you out as much as you need. Midwife is great makes you feel comfortable and you can call her 24/7. They give great advice especially for your itchy belly. An Dr.M is great also only reason I'm giving 4 starts is it takes a while for the midwife/Doctor to come see you which is pretty annoying when your pregnant. But overall I love it ! read more

I switched to a new doctor because I didn't want somebody that told me to go to the ER over something stupid, then didn't address my concerns except to say we could just do a c section no big deal. I have a video of him being a complete jerk and telling me to be quiet during the first ultrasound where I heard my baby's heartbeat. Then today 8 months later I get a call saying I owe $150 and they are going to send me to collections. I hadn't received a single statement. I will gladly pay for those three office visits. Dr. Maximos is an amazing doctor. He was my OB while pregnant with my daughter. I will tell you he takes his time with his patients. He always sits down and listens intently. I always felt like he cared and never felt rushed. I had A LOT of questions and concerns as a first time mother and he was so patient. I also had a birth plan that we walked through together. Most things he was comfortable with and other things we compromised on but he educated me on what he does things the way he does. He is kind, he is gentle. He is Christian and I always felt supported. I would have given him 5 starts if his staff was more "on it". I had to make several phone calls for something's before his staff took note which was a little frustrating. Most of his staff is young and don't realize it's the full experience we are looking for, not just the doctor. All in all, I love him and will continue to see him. read more
