"The house that fried chicken built."
This slogan tells you immediately the reason why people keep patronizing Max's. But this house has expanded into several branches and has developed delicious dishes other than the fried chicken. It's hard to find a mall or a city without a branch of Max's. I've tried several branches and the food is consistently good, but my favorite branch would always be the one in Marquinton/Blue Wave Mall.
The reason is not gustatorial, but interpersonal. The staff there know how to make their house feel like a home to the customers. They go about serving you in a friendly and cheerful manner without sacrificing efficiency. It also helps that they are all well-groomed. The ladies look very neat and pretty in their designer created uniforms and the men, well, Coco Martin, they claim, used to be one of them, and that says a lot about their charm. In Max's - Blue Wave, they are happy to accommodate special requests coming from the health needs of the patrons like reducing the amount of salt they would put in the dish.
