Under Dr. Robeson's care, I've always been taken care of. Let's see how this visit turned out. I was able to check in 30 minutes early since I made to drive from Norfolk. Once I was called up, they were able to weight me in (lost 9 pounds since my last visit), give a urine sample (results were good) and have my blood pressure taken (lower than my last visit). Overall, the blood results were good. Dr. Robeson, my primary care, suggested for me to start taking Mounjaro which'll help with weight loss for diabetics (me included). Of course, I'll have to incorporate exercising and changes to eating meals since it'll make myself full fast with increasing doses. So I'll have to see how the process is going this coming November for an appointment. So far, I feel fine using the product. We shall see what happens going forward. Just like that, another great appointment here. They will continue to have me as a patient. Till next time :)

No one wants you there and they can't wait to kick you out. The nurses treat you like trash and actually look for ways to make you feel unsafe for their own enjoyment. They're malignant and confrontational if you express your discomfort for anything at all. I'm afraid to write the specifics for fear that they will know who I am. I have since moved on to a different Dr, but it took me forever to develop the courage to leave. That's called something...you can fill in the blanks. I never felt cared for and I never trusted anything they said because I had come to realize that they don't give two sh*ts about me. They never even remembered me when I went in. I'm not even kidding. I had to remind the nurses and the doctor of who I am every single time I went in. So, either they super don't care like beyond anything I had ever experienced or they're complete psychos who love to make people feel unimportant and insignificant. I cannot begin to imagine why people such as these are in the medical field. The type of care they give is not care at all. You are on an assembly line and just another pain in their rear to process and get out of the door. They think that the "new decor" and fake happiness is fooling people...it isn't. They can't hide the disgust they feel for their patients. It oozes from their pores. You know that feeling when you absolutely know 1000% that you are disliked? And, you know that feeling when you know someone wants/NEEDS to make you feel fearful and small? If you answered no...just make an appointment.

When he became openly insulting and antagonistic I stopped seeing him to protect myself and left word with one of his nurses, at which point he called me and launched a several minute rant at me, yelling on the phone non-stop, almost at the top of his lungs until I just hung up on him. It was abusive. I think I should have reported him to his licensing board. Good medical care is a partnership. No doctor should ever treat a patient this way. You can do way better.

Atheist in a super religious office…read more If you can get past being slapped by a bible with every breath, all the staff are extremely courteous, welcoming, and knowledgeable. Honestly at first I was extremely nervous coming from a bigger, 'fancier' office and the lack of an 'upscale' interior and basic daily items (see also: urine sample cup being a plastic small solo(ish) cup you have to write your name on with a sharpie vs an actual urine sample cup, memos in the waiting room are put in sheet protectors and hung on the wall instead of laminated or in a frame, just to name a few) I was extremely hesitant as it seemed this office was in the Stone Age versus what I was used to. Now they appear to be switching to electronic files so I am optimistic for what is to come. (Sadly still no automated text or call appointment notifier) Jesus music plays on the speakers so I highly recommend adjusting that off in your room to keep your sanity. Blood is drawn while basically sitting on a counter next to more religious propaganda while staff walk back and forth in front of you (the low counter really threw me the first time). Staff are extremely genuine and knowledgeable. I cannot stress that enough! Medical assistants are top notch. Speaking to the insurance department was one of the least stressful experiences of my life. Such a nice lady! So far the care I have received has been nothing but positive. My husband and I are pleased with the sincerity exhibited. With confidence I can say I have and will continue to recommend to all -- with an added disclaimer of course. All in all, as long as no one tries to pray to Santa over my body or sprinkle holy water on me instead of providing real medical care, I will continue to give 5 stars. Even though realistically I wish it could just be a neutral office...I will continue to try to ignore the uncomfortable elephant in the room. For my future OB needs I may seek another office based SOLELY on the awkward, tense feelings that are inevitable on my end during each visit.

I would rate this zero stars if I could. A few years ago, I had an IUD put in by this clinic. Even…read morethough I had a consultation to ask questions, I was never informed about the extreme pain involved in the procedure. Because of this, I didn't take any pain medication. The staff asked if I had any questions, but as someone getting on birth control for the first time, I didn't even know what to ask. That same night, I played 3 hours of national-level volleyball--something that could have been detrimental to my health. I never considered returning to the clinic until recently, when I experienced severe, 10/10 razor-blade-like pain in my pelvic area for days. I went to urgent care, then the ER, where I was told I had an ovarian cyst, BV, and fluid around my IUD, though the IUD was still in place. The ER instructed me to see a gynecologist and have another ultrasound as soon as possible, since it was outside their specialty. I scheduled an appointment with Peninsula Women's Care for the next day. At first, the nurse practitioners were kind as I explained my situation, and one commented that the fluid was most likely blood. I got undressed and sat on the table for 30 minutes until Kelcey St. Amand, MSN, CNM, came in. She immediately assumed I was there to have my IUD removed--which was not the case--and refused to look at my ER records. I explained that I came per the ER's instructions to check my ovarian cyst and discuss the possibility of removing the IUD, though my main concern was the extreme pain. She dismissed my concerns and said, "Well, cysts go away on their own, but we can remove your IUD." When I asked about an ultrasound, she said it would take 8 weeks to get an appointment with an ultrasound tech. I asked for a refund because I wasn't comfortable having my IUD removed and felt the appointment was a waste, especially since no exam was done as a precautionary measure. Kelcey rudely told me I could not get a refund, and when I asked why, she said it was because I "showed up for my appointment." I told her I had scheduled an appointment for an ultrasound, and she said I could speak to a manager. Tiffani Nelson (practice administrator) came in, tried to reassure me, and said Kelcey wouldn't suggest removing my IUD if it wasn't safe. At this point, I was extremely upset and holding back tears of frustration and disappointment after hoping for real help with my pain. I asked Kelcey if she could give me pain meds, and she prescribed the exact same anti-inflammatories the ER had already given me. I ultimately decided to have the IUD removed, and since then, I haven't had any pain--but it was clear the staff didn't understand why I was there or what medications I was already taking. After the removal, Kelcey simply asked, "Do you have any questions?" instead of explaining the healing process. I had to call urgent care later to get pain medication because no one at the clinic would prescribe anything stronger. Tiffani did schedule an ultrasound for two weeks later, but I was returning to school. If the pain had continued, I would have gone back to the ER for immediate care. I will absolutely never return. I'm extremely upset that a WOMEN'S CLINIC feels so rushed and invalidating. To make matters worse, my school gynecologist told me today never to go back because of malpractice. She shook her head when I explained how little I was told about the IUD insertion.

Doctors are great with giving out referrals and working along with the parent about their kids' health; Dr. C.H. Lim is super fun, and very cooperative with the kid. :) The clinic is really good with taking same day appointments and sick appointments. They are always willing to work with the parent.
