Waited to do my review until after my 3rd visit. The first visit was the week they reopened after Covid. I had no loyalties to a salon since just moving here and they had a spot for my desperate roots to get done after being locked down! Well what can I say? I love this place! Leticia has worked with me every step of the way since I started coming in! She has seen ideas of what I'm working towards with my hair and has made sure I leave beyond happy! They are very well spaced out so you do not feel like you are too close to anyone. Everyone there is very friendly. I would recommend Leticia in a second! Very happy customer! read more

It's not even service I received but I still think it should be noted--my daughter went to Maxx Salon for highlights and booked online. She hasn't had anything done to her hair in years because of anxiety. Renee did her highlights and told her the price was more because she had to use toner! (Don't highlights usually require toner?!) My daughter came home with wet hair and once she dried it, she has two heavy streaks that are only semi-lightened and nothing else visibly different. I told her she totally wasted over $100! She won't speak up so I'm doing it for her!! Not recommended from someone who's been getting highlights for many years. read more

I'm really glad my friend knew about this place. We had an event where multiple girls were getting hair, makeup and nails done. The business handled it smoothly! Everyone took their time getting us ready to make sure we liked our styles. Personally, I loved mine! When I told my stylist (I didn't get her name! I need to get better at that) what I wanted (Mohawk style curls), she seemed a bit unsure. But then thought and played with my hair....and voila! She got confident and was like this is what we're gonna do. It turned out amazing! I received so many compliments! I came back to get my hair cut and was again impressed. I love my cut and I will definitely be back again! These people care about you! They care about your happiness with their work and they will do what it takes to make sure you're happy in every way. The only reason I went here is because my hairdresser worked there. In my opinion they are entirely over priced. Also every time I went in it seemed like I would get charged more then I did the time before (I always got the same thing done). When I first started going I got charged $165 for a root color, full set of highlights a wash, cut, and blowdry. The last time I went in I got charged upwards of $300. But they claimed they never raised their prices.. thankfully my hairdresser left and went somewhere else. On a positive note, it is clean. read more

If i could give ZERO stars I would!!! My fiancé left there wanting to literally cry because of how bad Melissa Aspat ruined his HAIRCUT, EYEBROW WAX AND BEARD TRIM. After I stepped in to advocate for him about his hair she was rude to cut me off saying "Well i'm just cutting it how he wants" and it was FAR FROM WHAT HE WANTED. Not only that but when she waxed his eyebrows she left them uneven like it was her first time waxing someone's eyebrows. Just look at the photos!! I have no clue how she even got hired there?!? He asked for SHOULDER LENGTH does the photo say "shoulder length to you?? Because it's no where near shoulder length to us!!! I'm 38 weeks pregnant and due almost any day now and she completely ruined his appearance for not just his everyday image but also the photos we will be taking with our newborn daughter. I cannot express how disgusted and furious we are with how her services turned out and charged us 93$ for a nightmare!! Never going back again and will be discussing a FULL REFUND for this S*** show from the owner. read more

I was visiting my family/taking care of personal business and decided at the last minute to get a pedicure. It was super easy to get an appointment online with Crystal and all of the logistics, especially with COVID-19 regulations, were seamless. My service was wonderful and the price was gentle on my pocketbook. Crystal was very personable and made someone like me - who always feels awkward in spas - exceptionally comfortable. I found her work to be extremely professional and by far the best service I have ever experienced at a hair salon. They did an awesome pedicure, they are all super friendly 2 weeks later my toes still great. Pedicure is 25$ but it's worth it, only a month later my toes chipped, that's amazing it lasted that long, and it looked so good for the whole time. And they do an amazing eye brows! This is the second time I've been into this place and I absolutely love it! The first time I came to get highlights for my birthday and I had Tracy she was great, friendly and very professional she was giving me tips on how to keep up with my highlights for the spring. Prices are moderately expensive but not too outrageous. The second time I came in I came for my cousins wedding and all of us bridesmaids came in to get an updue on our hair and we all got dolled up. Once again Tracy did my hair beautifully and made great conversation. She put these cute little rhinestones in my hair using the Paul Mitchell hair thickening glue and it looked great! They even let me borrow some mascara to accentuate my natural long eye lashes. I like Maxx Studios they are very clean, privatized and not overly crowded. They really know how to build repore with their clients, they make everyone look and feel like a princess. The stylist were great they said they will be moving to the publix plaza so more customers can see them and they will have more space to give personalized peticures, nails and massages so that everyone has the luxury to experience feeling exhilarated and refreshed. I will definitely continue to go here and recommend any of my friends or even employees that want to get there hair done for whatever occasion so they too can feel fabulous! read more

After reading all of the raving reviews for Maxx Studio Salon and Spa I have to say I was extremely disappointed in my experience. I generally do not frequent salons as my best friend is a cosmetologist and I am more of a do it yourself kinda person, but my best friend was out of town and I desperately needed an update. I decided to give the salon experience a try and decided on Maxx because of all of the great reviews. I booked an appointment a week and a half in advance and I arrive 10 minutes early. First impression...I was left waiting for 30 minutes past my appointment time. I decided to let that go because I know how it goes and I didn't have anywhere I needed to be. Before I was even greeted by my stylist, she took a smoke break (and a glass of wine break) outside, in front of the shop where everyone could see her, including me, her waiting client. I should have left then. When I finally got to the chair, she proceeded to tell me that my hair was in terrible shape and if she did anything to it that it would snap off. Was my hair the healthiest, no probably not, I flat iron and change my hair color A LOT, but I still did not feel like this gave her the right to be so condescending about my hair. In the middle of discussing my hair and what I was hoping to accomplish, she took a personal phone call that left her very distracted. I really wanted a change for my hair, so I decided to stay and give it a fair shot, big mistake. After getting the lightening clay on my hair, she left me alone for almost two hours so I could "cook". She proceeded to take more smoke breaks, cut other clients' hair, and take more personal phone calls. She would check in every 20 minutes or so and was concerned about getting to the perfect bleach blonde. When I told her I didn't want bleach blonde but I more subtle warm, honey blonde she said we could tone it to get the color right. She finally washed my hair and brought me back to the chair to do the cut, but again stopped in the middle, to cut another client and said "don't worry, I will make it quick". When she finally got back to me, the shop had long closed and everyone else was gone. She proceeded to blow dry my hair when I started to notice all of the bleeders. They were everywhere. So, she brought out the the toner, just to fix these mistakes. She never remembered that we were supposed to tone the bleach blonde, which I hated, but I had been there for almost four hours at this point and I just wanted to go home. After she rewashed and dried my hair, the blonde was streaky and blotchy and I hated it. I went home and the next day immediately got it fixed, by my husband nonetheless. Thank goodness for YouTube, toner, and a super sweet hubby. Maybe it was an off day, but I will never go back to this salon!! It was a horrible experience. read more
