Wow. I've been a patron at Maybee's for a few years now. My fiancée recently bought me a piece of lingerie that was a tad too big so I needed to get a smaller size . I hadn't realized the return date to be 15 days, but finally when I was able to make it in, I noticed from the receipt that I was 2 days late. It had never been worn other than to try it on for 2 minutes at home, and the tags were still on. Look, I've worked in customer service/sales for 15 years. The woman working told me that the computer wouldn't actually let her complete the transaction if she tried. I have neverrrrrr heard of this, and I have worked POS systems for many years. I understand why return policies at these places are strict, but 2 days over seems a stretch. I'm done giving them my business. read more

I don't shop here often, but when I do, I always leave pleased and happy. The recent time how ever was not 100% the case. There was some mis communication between me and one of the store associates. I contacted the store and the manager was very nice and gave me the number to corporate. I talked to a lady named Stephanie and she went above and beyond to help me. Adorable smaller version of fascinations in Denver. I was instantly greeted by friendly employees, and they were very attentive and helpful when I asked about various products. It being smaller then the usual places I go, I was pleasantly surprised at the huge selection of inventory. The prices were super reasonable as well. Another reviewer felt the store now caters only to straight women and he couldn't begin a conversation about anal beads yet this is so far from my experience there as to make me wonder what he saw. My partner has shopped without me and purchased toys that are in the BDSM Dungeon in the Glendale store (just off Colorado, on Virginia). Much of the men's wear is appealing to non-straight men, women's lingerie comes in "plus" sizes, leading to happy cross dressers and larger trans people. Frankly, most (or many) shopping venues have atrocious or blasé music but I don't recall any negatives- and my partner and I are both musicians. Still, if it's offensive, talk to the staff, talk to the manager, email the company. It's hardly worth getting pissy and writing them off- The stock is excellent and the employees are knowledgeable and straight forward. They relocated within the last year so the store is close to triple the size it was and has a bright, open facade with a normal public entrance instead of the goofy back door feeling the old place had. Clothing is a big part of the floor space now- street wear (for women) and lingerie for men and women. The toy displays are generally nicely done and include a table to place your choices to compare and ask questions. If anything, the selection is overwhelming- not a bad thing. There are aspects of the business that mean they aren't perfect, mostly because toys are a very individual thing. What works great for someone may be a total failure for someone else. Even reading reviews can't define what your experience will be so it's important to think about what you like, your anatomy and the ergonomics of the toy. Take the time to really check out the items since many are over $200 (although many are also less than that) and up and they don't accept returns even if it's unopened unless there's a manufacturer defect. They are very clear about that (so someone who dinged a different location for that wasn't paying attention). The more preventable problem is that sometimes an item isn't charged. I suspect the floor models get a lot of wear, drops, etc. When the expense of the toys is factored in with what is likely a slim profit margin- think economy of scale, especially since they're a Colorado retailer- I can understand why not every model is on the floor. I'm very happy we have a respectable business locally so we don't have to guess what works and wait to see if we guessed right. read more

This place is the absolute worst. If I could give zero stars I would. I bought a VERY expensive product only to discover as soon as I got home an hour later than it was defunct. It did not work. I know that Maybee has a no-returns policy which makes sense in most cases, but you sell me a $220 product that doesn't work straight out of the box and you are not willing to amend it in any way? You have got to be kidding me. Not only did they outright refuse to exchange or refund the broken product when I came in the next day just twelve hours after buying the product, but I also discovered that the same item was for sale direct from the manufacturer for $70 less than what maybee sells it for. I now feel like an idiot for trusting that they would have competitive pricing, but also that they would have any decency or concern for customer satisfaction. THANK YOU FOR ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. I have spent $250 including tax FOR LITERALLY NOTHING. That's a lot of money to me, so it is understandably infuriating. I now have to contact the company who makes them, ship the useless item on MY OWN DOLLAR and wait several weeks, fingers crossed that THEY will have some decency and send me an operational product, most likely a month after I originally bought it at Maybee. Worst purchasing experience of my life. Get your sex related products online. UPDATE: in response the comment left by an employee at Fascinations in an attempt to rectify the issue, I emailed at your request and have gotten NO RESPONSE in three days. My fiancé and I were impressed with our visit to Maybee. From the outside it appears unapologetic with large windows and lingerie displayed. Once inside I was happy to see a clean, inviting store with knowledgable staff. Yes, as another review stated it is very feminine and you won't find pornographic videos there. What you will find is lingerie, toys for both men and women, and the usual lube and bachelorette stuff. Any questions I directed at the gentleman working there were met with straight forward and honest answers. The best way to put it, it's a badass version of Victorias Secret. Plus now I'm stuck with a stupid blanket they encouraged us to get and try, 'return it if you don't like it'. Watch out...no returns. I recently bought a $250 item there and it was broken out of the package. I brought it back the very next day and they told me they had a no returns policy and that I would have to take it up with the manufacturer. While I would be happy to do this if a month after I purchased the product broke, the fact that they sold me a product that never worked feels like they should bare the burden and hassle of dealing with the manufacturer and honor my patronage and their assumed agreement with me to sell a working product by offering me an immediate refund or replacement. Furthermore she insisted that the product was tested before I left the store. I'm certain that there was no test performed. read more
