Terrible bedside manner, and doesn't know how to care for patients. He didn't give me any diagnosis, not did he provide any care.

The office is clean, and accessible, and the doctors have provided all the necessary care and attention needed to manage our loved one's ongoing condition. The office staff does seem to change out every year or two which does affect responsiveness and familiarity. The only real issue we've experienced is having the office number go out of service, or changed to a new phone number without notice several times over the years. I would give H.O.S. an average star rating of 3.5 stars. The current office number as of 07/2026 is (626)508-0330. You can also call Dr Austin Ma's Healthcare group at (800)385-7795 for scheduling support.

I need to cancel my phone appointment and I only get a voice message saying they are not taking calls and it just hangs up, so the phone number only works one way! (626) 335-2277. Of course they will still charge me for the appointment, what a joke. If you do have an office visit, it is one of the worst places to go, very outdated and dirty, it is no wonder that the workers are unfriendly, it would be depressing to work there! They need to do better! I will not be going back, I can do more for myself!

This review is for the Medical Group on Route 66, not the Urgent Care on Grand Ave. There is a…read moredifference, people! Originally my doctor was Dr. Manolo, who was a very timid and quiet doctor but took her time with you. I recently switched over to Virginia Barrett, who is usually very very booked and busy (which is not a bad thing!). Overall the customer service within the Healthcare Partners Medical group is superb. You can get in touch with them after hours, you have access to all your records online, you have access to Urgent Care and generally speaking you can always get in touch with SOMEONE, regardless of the day and time. The nurses are top notch. All very gentle and kind. They take their time with you, which I appreciate. Dr. Barrett, though I have only seen her once, does take her time to give you a call back and answer your questions in an honest way. I really appreciate her bedside manners and honesty. I haven't had a bad experience with them, even when they erroneously billed me for a procedure I had done - it was fixed and I was never billed again. I recommend this group for people with the Aetna insurance (through employer).

I usually request my refills through the portal but because I work at the hospital I didn't have good reception. So I decided to call instead. I asked the girl at the call center that I needed a refill but I couldn't remember the milagrams and right away she said I can't send the message un less you know the dosage . she could of looked into my chart and see the last refill but instead she just said I can't help you. So I was disappointed . I told the rep Thank you I'll just have my pharmacy request it . Later on I was able to request my refill through the portal . But to me customer service was a fail she didn't even try .

Too busy taking her extended maternity leave during the pandemic to even have a functional office, she's never there and doors were locked up. I'm sure so many people did as I did and found somewhere else to go during this time. Next time I came by they're not even there anymore. Don't know if they moved or shut down. The way they let that one MA handle absolutely everything, no wonder she got things fouled up from time to time. I'm astonished that she was able to do as much as she did get right, but they were always understaffed, especially after moving into their new location and keeping the doors locked and not answering phones, even not just for patients but for patient advocates. Couldn't have been worse. One of my last visits I asked what happened to the other girl that used to help you in the old building and was told that she was " no longer with them. Then I saw her walking down the hallway. But then when I asked for clarification, she's working on a "special project ", and can't answer phones. I can't express how little the daughter gave a rat's a$$ about anyone but herself and her own kids. Save your money and time if they're even still in business at another location, look for somewhere else because you deserve better.

At 4:30 I walked out having never seen the doctor or even making it to an exam room. I was tired of sitting in the waiting room with no communication as to why my appointment was delayed. Mistakes were made because she was juggling too much for one person. Very frustrating experience for the patients. One time they referred me out to a place that doesn't take my insurance for an X-ray or something, and then denied that could have possibly happened. Then it went from bad to worse when they moved to the new location on Grand and the pandemic started. The office was completely nonfunctional during that time, keeping doors locked and not answering phones. It was being run by her daughter at that time Dr. Swapna Phadnis, and ran her mother's practice into the ground, IMO. She was seemingly never there even after her maternity leave. She seemed to take the whole pandemic as extended maternity leave. She had no idea what surgery I was trying to get her to clear me for up to the day before and then she wouldn't do it. I had to reschedule my surgery from that Thursday to the following Monday. The advocate my insurance assigned to me couldn't get through to them on the phone either and encouraged me to change primary care. One of my last visits there I asked about the second person helping that they used to have when they were on Rt. 66, and I was told she was "no longer with them". Then I saw her walking down the hall. Gaslighting. When I asked for clarification, I was told well she's here working on a "special project", unavailable to answer phones or help with patients. Then when they told me they would not be taking my insurance anymore I was actually happy to be pushed to look for something better for myself. I did find another woman doctor that I like but that office is also understaffed and frustrating mistakes happen. Not to the level of Dr. V's office was running. I drove by after visiting the nearby urgent care and noticed that they're no longer there on Grand. Hopefully they went out of business but I have a feeling that they just moved back to the old location after that building was remodeled on Rt. 66. I wouldn't go back to Dr. Phadnis or that experience ever again.
